Amazing, delicious and lots of options - Edit
Delicious food and drinks đ I had the mango juice, ice tea and hot chocolate. We chose a starter - the puffed spanakopita and lasagna. The salad that comes with the lasagna - incredible! (And Iâm not even a salad person) đ

Oh la la! (Sorry I had to) - Edit
Everything tastes better on vacation but I've been here a few times and it's always wonderful. Once was after a flight and once was after a tattoo convention. On both occasions nothing but the biggest order of nachos you've ever seen will do. The server warned us of the serving size and we were like WE KNOW. I've only ever gotten the burrito and a generous amount of nachos. Looking forward to trying new dishes next time we visit.

Mexican delight - Edit
Ready for full mexican feast? I usually leave there with my pants button undone . Service is friendly, especially if you engage them in conversation. Probably because of the demographics of McGill university a 20% tip makes the amazing service even better. I've never felt this good to tip in my life.

Fantastic vegetarian and vegan food - Edit
Lola Rosa is a FANTASTIC place for cozy and satisfying plant-based meals in the McGill ghetto. It's a vegetarian restaurant but there are tons of (clearly-labelled) vegan options that I want to try. Their dishes are all colorful, vibrant, and simply but beautifully plated. The portions sizes are generous but not excessive. I also love the reasonable prices (expect to spend around 18$ including tax and tip). The interior is small but the decor is cute and homey. Honestly, this just may be my new favorite restaurant in Montreal!
Read moreI had the vegan burrito stuffed with sweet potato puree, black beans, corn, and red pepper, and topped with salsa and creamy avocado-lime sauce + rice & salad. Many people recommended the Lola Rosa burrito to me, and they weren't wrong! This is probably the best vegan burrito I've ever had.
Pros: Colorful and vibrant cuisine, Tons of clearly labelled vegan options, Everything is delicious

Delicious - Edit
Had the quesadilla. While I felt like a four year old trying to figure out a sensible and elegant way to get it into my mouth without it flopping and emptying everywhere, it was a joyous mouth experience overall.

For the Nacho's lover - Edit
The food at Lola Rosa is absolutely amazing! Only thing, when I went there I had to basically argue with the waitress for the full side nacho. She said "oh, the half one will be plenty for you." Hmmm... I don't think so! Never underestimate a vegan đ

Amazing! - Edit
I really liked coming here. It is a relatively small, but beautifully decorated location. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I only have one small thing to critizise: my little brother doesn't like spicy food and ordered something that was spicy...it would be good if you would note when a dish is spicy. I can only recommend coming here. The salad, burrito and desserts (all vegan) are amazing.

Fun place - Edit
Not all vegan, but a good amount of options. The place is really cute, although a bit loud, and the food was good. Vegan items are clearly marked. My husband and I shared the seitan burger and the burrito. The burger can be made vegan by getting it without the sauce. It was good but a but dry because there wasn't a vegan replacement sauce. Burger came with a salad and slaw, both of which were very tasty. The burrito was better, very flavorful. All in all it was good, but i wouldn't necessarily go back unless I was eating with non-vegan friends.

Not that great - Edit
I went to Lola Rosa with great expectations, considering the reviews left on HC and elsewhere. I was really disappointed:
Read more- The place is small and packed;
- It is incredibly noisy, I couldn't even hear what the waitress was asking me, I had to have her repeat three times;
- I waited an insane amount of time just to get my one dish; maybe the waitress had forgotten about it? That happens, but it was quite annoying...
- The food itself (I had the spinach lasagna) was tasty but quite greasy. The Cesar salad was a bit too oily as well.
- Prices are OK but it's not cheap for what it is.
Cons: Noisy, Small

Decent food but small space and noisy - Edit
Just had lunch here. Seemed to be a popular spot in the hood but tiny. Tables were cramped together. Food was tasty, though, and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was casual and very lively (read noisy). It's a 3.5 rounded up to a 4 for me.
