Happy we eat, happier we live :) - Edit
This was my second visit to Athens, and first after turning vegan. Although I never used the Happy Cow app before, I was hopeful that it won't upset me :(. Infact it didn't :) Being alone, and just a weekend and the Monday to spend in Athens, I looked for the most important thing, that had crucial significance on the purpose of this visit. Actually, I went to run the 35th Athens marathon, and therefore one important thing I had to do the day before, was to load my tummy with carbs. Pasta should be good option right! Read ahead... After looking at the vegan options, Limo Bistro was my first choice to visit for a pre-race dinner. They have special meals everyday, a different one everyday. I was served an amazing quinoa pasta with red lentil and besamel made with truffle potatoes, garnished with green salad and almond cheese! Gosh, I still crave for that pasta :D, although my prepared vegan pasta is equally tasty, if not good enough ;). I also had a lactose free smoothie bowl for dessert, that was smooth as silk! All these for almost (may be 1-1.5x) the same price of a non-vegan pasta and smoothie, if I had one at some random restaurant. The best thing I appreciate about Lime Bistro is that the effort the people make toward making some healthy and tasty eco-friendly food, at a reasonable price, and at a sufficiently suited quantity. I was so impressed by their quality of fresh vegan menu, that after my race the next day, I visited them again for a dinner. This time, I opted for a nice big salad with lot of vegetables, topped with lots of herbs and extra almond cheese :D, together with a freshly squashed lemon juice with added turmeric and some other herbs. Unfortunately, I couldn't visit them on Monday, as they were closed :(, however, I explore other vegan options on Monday (whose review I have written in their respective places ;)). So, to all my eco-friendly plant eating friends (and also the anti-plant eaters ;) :P), who might be visiting Athens sooner or later, you must definitely give my friends at Limo Bistro a visit, if you are looking for a great place to eat something healthy and tasty :), and I'm pretty sure that they won't disappoint you :). Well, I wish I could get such awesome food before every single of my future races :(, but may be I would, give I run Athens marathon again ;)

I'm so sad we only stayed in Athens a couple of days and could not return to Lime Bistro for a second or third time. We always do a "vegan restaurant tour" in every country we visit using Happy Cow and we've been to many, but I have to say this was probably the best one so far. We had dakos salad, gyros and a cheesecake. I have no words to describe our meal. It was simply amazing! The staff is really nice too. First thing I'll do if one day I go back to Greece is pay them a visit. We visited 2 other vegan places in Athens, but Lime Bistro is the only one I think deserves 5 stars.

Not only the food that the food is vegan, they do their best as not to waste food. It means that they prepare the right quantity so that they do not have to throw away.
It is only one year since they opened, but it felled as if they were there for ever.

We had lunch at Lime Bistro and it was great! First of all, the place was closed when we arrived but the staff was so kind and served us anyways.
Read moreOur server was able to translate everything for us and recommended dishes. We really liked the sushi, another dish with the seaweed in it was also excellent. My daughter couldn't get enough of it.
Everything we had was tasty and fresh.
I had such a good cappuccino, it blew my mind.
We highly recommend this place.

Me and my husband actually thought the price was very fair. We had salad, main, dessert and alcoholic beverages and it was still cheaper than what we pay for just a main course and water in a normal, non-organic restaurant where we live. We shared the 3 food items and honestly... I was super full when we left. Everyone has their own opinions, but I read all reviews before going there and yours was the one that was stuck on my mind, so I thought we'd have to order many items to be full. I'm glad our experience was beyond our expectations.

Although I'm not a vegan, I have been here a few times with my best friends! I keep coming back for the amazing food, for the quality of the products used and for the always smiling staff. My best friend is a vegan and claims that this is the best vegan bistro in town.

Collest vegan place in Athens Greece - Edit
i have been there several times. I am now starting exploring my diet as a vegeterian and maybe one day vegan. I do it for environmental and societal issues thus I thought to take it step by step. I was afraid I will not find it delicious. And then Lime Bistro came into my life. I keep returning there. the food is delicious. It is not only vegan but healthy as well (gluten free) plus the prices are normal for such a high quality! Plus the girls that have it I LOVE THEM!

My husband and I ate here two nights in a row. The food was incredible! We have eaten at some of the best vegan restaurants in the U.S., California, New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and none can compare to the food here! The mushroom pasta in truffle oil was the best dish I've ever tasted! The smoothies, burgers, gyro's and desserts are so delicious! Absolutely worth the trip! The people were so friendly and accommodating. Overall the entire experience was great! Wish we could take the whole place home with us! Until next time! ❤️

I only had a short time in Athens and was determined to find this place. I got lost but kept going til I found it - and it was so worth it! The staff were lovely - so friendly and helpful and genuine vegans trying to make the world a better place. It's in a quiet street which makes it a great spot to unwind after rushing through Athens. I had the wild mushroom pasta and it's honestly probably the best pasta I've ever had. It was reasonably priced and the rose and lavender lemonade sealed the deal! They have a good selection of wine and beer, too! It's open and airy, peaceful and clean. A great dining experience, I wish I could go back! It's about 100m down the road from the metro station (Kerameikos). If you are in Athens - go here!!!! (They have a gorgeous cat, too!)

We had the raw sandwich and the burger, but i really wanted to try everything! The service was great the waitress was very attentive and OMG the food was INSANE. The flavours were absolutely delicious. I am just sad we have to leave today because i would love to go back there. 10/10!!!

After visiting "Ancient Agora", we walked all the way to Lime Bistro and were pretty hungry afterwards. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious, new and interesting! Try it!

I came in and was greeted by very friendly staff who kindly listed the day's specials. I would describe my meal as vegan Greek comfort food with a modern twist. The taste was amazing and it was a great experience. I was able to walk there after a day at the Acropolis no problem, so it's not too far from the city center. Definitely check it out!

The food here is simply phenomenal. Everything we had was so, so delicious, and the folks who work here are also super nice. They have a wide variety of options, and there are some really creative offerings like oyster mushroom gyro, risotto, and almond cheese.
Read moreThe only issue is that the service is quite slow. I'm not sure if they were understaffed for the evening, but each phase of the meal took a while, including getting the check. Make sure you're prepared for a leisurely meal, and you may want to go somewhere else if you're pinched for time.
Still, in spite of this, I feel compelled to give them 5/5 - the food was really that amazing. You should really check this place out if you're in Athens.

This place is great. It's so nice to try traditional Greek food made vegan (dakos were great). The decor is modern and relaxed, the staff passionate and friendly and the whole menu is imaginative and inspiring, from the drinks to the specials.

Stop what you are doing and go to this place. This is vegan food at its finest. I had the pasta with mushroom "cream" sauce, fantastic. Desert was incredible. I am just vegetarian, and a total snob about substitute dairy products, but what they do is magic. Truly a great experience. The owners/chefs are also very gracious and welcoming. I would be there weekly if I could.

The staff are absolutely adorable and super friendly. They never want to sell you anything and even tell you that some dishes could be shared instead of getting two. They also told me that they try as much as possible to be zero waste, which is excellent.
They have really great desserts as well (banoffee, snickers tart), but you might be too full to be able to give them a try.
Prices are higher than at other places in Athens, but Lime has truly created something special here. The interior is super cute.
