I really wanted to like this - Edit
I got the Pad Thai and unfortunately it was very underwhelming. Lots of soy sauce with no distinct flavors, if not for the chili.

Totally alright - Edit
Great food, especially the noodles, the vegan fried egg and the vegan shrimp. Overpriced drinks. The fried dumplings I got were a bit bland though.

Tasty but nothing spectacular - Edit
I had pad thai and it tasted good, but was a bit to sweet for me. The service was quick but not very friendly. Interior was fun and so was the atmosphere. The toilets were pretty dirty, there were quite a few small flies.

Went with two friends and tried a large noodle bowl with curry which was very flavorful, and three small bowls. Everything was great, lots of different textures and flavors. There's lots to choose from on the menu. We could have eaten more so I'd recommend another 1-2 small bowls for a group of 3.

The perfect place to try different foods 🌱 - Edit
Grosse Empfehlung. 💚

Aside from Thai vegan being rare to find, the food itself is just good, not amazing.

Nice vegan Thai restaurant - Edit
We went early to eat and had a lot of different small dishes. Everything was really nice. Especially the fried tofu with peanut sauce. The restaurant looks really colourful and nice. If you are looking for a quiet restaurant this is not the right place. When we left it was really loud.

Yummy thai food! - Edit
Li.ke thai is a large thai restaurant with a lot of outdoor seating in the middle of the popular area around Boxenhager Platz (boxi).
Read moreI am from Sweden where there is an abundance of good thai restaurants and chains. After moving to Germany I quickly noticed that Vietnamese food is much more prevalent here. Thus, I've been missing thai food somewhat. I'd known of li.ke thai for a long time and was happy to finally be able to visit it this weekend.
I went here for lunch with my girlfriend and got a table outside. Service was swift and we quickly got to order. On thing that made us a bit worried was that all the main dishes had one chili, and we can't handle hot food that well (especially my girlfriend). When we ordered we just asked for her dish to be less hot and luckily for us it was possible.
I was starving, so we got one main each and a starter dish to share. I had the Panäng and a li.ke fantasy to drink. The drink came almost immediately. It was ok, but I would not buy it again, since I don't think it was good enough to warrant the price (4,80€). The food came really swiftly thereafter and we dug in. It was delicious. I really love the way thai sauces can taste and this one was just yum yum yum yum YUM. The whole meal was a joy. Although it had one chili it was definitely not too hot for me. My girlfriend also thought her meal (Kau Phad) was delicious (and not too hot thank god!).
One funny thing that happened was that the small dish that we ordered never came (and in the end we didn't pay for it). We were happy with that since we probably wouldn't have been able to finish it anyway - our main dishes were large enough.
I'd be happy to go back here for dinner with a larger group and try some of the smaller bowls!😄
Pros: Card payment is possible

Mixed Feelings 😶 - Edit
We had four little bowls which tasted pretty good even though two of those bowls had way too much salt or/and sugar in it. We made the mistake to report those "overspiced" meals to the waiter when we already ate all of them, which was unfortunate for all of us as he suggested that if something like this would happen again we should just inform him earlier so that he could bring us some new dishes. This is also why I will probably go there again to find out if our experience was just an exception... 🤷♂️

Pros: all vegan 🌱, nice location 🏙

Just a hype - Edit
Attracted by the good reviews, we tried this restaurant and were sadly disappointed. I love Thai cuisine and have often eaten excellent Thai (even vegan never a problem) and I have to say that the Like Thai can't keep up by far. I also found it strange that chopsticks were also served with the food, Thai people eat with fork and spoon. The decor is very simple (garden chairs and tin tables), which didn't bother us, but unfortunately a bit dingy. I was particularly disturbed by the dirty toilets, the floor has apparently never seen soap and water. I found the dishes not very authentic and carelessly put together. The fresh papaya salad was so over sugared I couldn't eat it. Despite my complaints, it remained on the bill. The curries are bland and reminiscent of western ready meals. The two of us shared five bowls, not one scored. Two of the dishes were almost identical and dressed with exactly the same bland sauce, one bowl just had a bit more chili in it. Overall, the spiciness is far away from authentic Thai food. It all seems like a rip-off for the current lifestyle audience. In Friedrichshain there are much better places where you can eat excellent vegan food.

Thaï tapas - Edit
Great thaï food place where you can order a handful of bite size authentic dishes. I tasted 6 of them, all were great both in texture and seasoning. The place is usually crowded so show up early.

Recommend! - Edit
Large variety of small dishes all 4.50 euro with larger dishes for 9.90. sides include rice and vegan fried egg! 2 or 3 small dishes plus rice is plenty of food. Home-made drinks were delicious. Only con was two of our dishes didn't come and it was difficult to get it sorted. The first person said "2 mins" then didn't come back. Then it was very hard getting someone's attention (I also needed another chopstick as I had dropped one!) Eventually we got someone and asked for just one of the dishes as we were getting full and it came quickly. Getting the bill was also quite a wait too though!
