lovely food and venue - Edit
Beautiful chic restaurant with lovely helpful staff, for a first visit we took the suggested tasting menu and were blown away. Everything is utterly delicious, the showstopper is the lasagna and mushrooms in paper. Would travel a long way for another meal here!! It gets very busy make sure you book online!!

I have mixed feelings about Level. My food was quite good, but compared to other vegan restaurants in Madrid I'm not sure it was worth the price difference. Nice atmosphere, but not somewhere I can afford to return.

We got very lucky. Either it was my girlfriend's great looks, or just my luck, but we showed up here on our second day visiting Madrid, around 2pm, without a reservation. The place was full. Hesitantly, I entered, and politely asked if a table is available. One staff informed us, without a reservation there's not much they can do (it was obvious- this place is very chic, classy, and happening). However, one of the gents behind the counter, was supremely kind to interrupt, ask us "Are you vegan?", to which we of course said "Absolutely!" and he said "Ok, give me 20 mins, I'll try to arrange something". We waited outside on a bench and within mere minutes, he invited us in. We saw others get turned away after us, so... we really did have a stroke of luck to get served here.

The food was excellent. I wouldn't say it was the best we've ever had, but- it certainly will not disappoint. It's well done, nicely presented, and of course- everything is flawless down to a micro-nutrient level.
The best part however- was the service. Everyone here either genuinely cares about the vegan scene (and thus, the customers who come here), really likes their job, or, were trained in Siberia. Either way you look at it- service-wise, this place puts everywhere else in town to shame. Always with a smile, very attentive, pleasant, charming, just top class service- everyone inside.
The only setback... the cost. This place, isn't cheap. Don't worry, it's not fine-dining level but, if you're backpacking through the region, chances are, this place won't be for you. For a couple, having dinner, with a glass of wine, expect to hit the 60-80 Euro mark when it's all said n' done. No complaints here. We enjoyed every minute and will be back again.

This place is by far the best plant based restaurant in Madrid. Everything is in a perfect balance. The food is excellent. The staff is professional, very friendly and one can really simply trust their recommendations.

The restaurant is modern, cleaned and well presented (with sort of Art exhibition in it), so cool place for couples or just dinner with friends.
Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating!
In addition its next to park El Retiro, which makes it perfect for a Saturday or Sunday lunch and then a walk in the park!

Hicimos reserva telefónica sin problemas, por si acaso no teníamos sitio. La verdad dimos con ellos por el happy cow, y no lo pensamos demasiado. Buen lugar , al lado de donde estábamos para proseguir en nuestro viaje.

Llegan nuestros amigos y decidimos pedir un plato cada uno y otra cosa para picar. Nos llegan unos entrantes o aperitivos que no habíamos pedido, pero una vez en la mesa, te los comes. (2 raciones). Al final, en la mesa había un entrante con hummus delicioso, tzatziki sorprendente y otra salsa más que no recuerdo los ingredientes. El pan que acompañaba las salsas, si bien es así, riquísimo. Un burrito, una hamburguesa, un bowl de budha y una lasagna. Algunos crudiveganos otros no. Todos bastante ricos.
Los postres fueron la tarta de chocolate y la de queso. Estéticamente muy parecidas pero de sabores distintos. Súper ricas.
Dos botellas de agua, cafés, ... más tarde, revisas la cuenta y vemos cosas que hay cosas que no cuadran. Los entremeses que no pides, están cargados, imaginas, cuando te llegan, que es un detalle del local., también se anota un “extras” que no sabes bien a qué atribuirlo, pero la distancia hace ya imposible consultar estos detalles.
La conclusión, es un lugar con comida especial, rica, bien preparada, personal agradable y atento, pero que no es para ir cada semana, precios elevados con raciones justas ( sobretodo en el falafel).
Volveremos, pero seguramente revisemos la cuenta antes de salir!

This is fine dining at its best and one taste explosion after another. I had two dinners and one afternoon lunch here in a row.
Not sure where to start, but right from the first impression (there’s never a second chance!) to the very end everything was simply perfect. A beautiful designed restaurant with many fine details, hospitality at its best with fantastic, attentive and swift service made my stays feeling as if it had been my place for many years. Professionals at work!
Starters are amazing: I had the 24 hour Falafel, Veggie Rolls and Mushroom Brochettes. All three intense flavours due to the dehydration (Falafel and Veggie Roll) and the creamy pesto Genovese in the Mushroom Brochettes... bellissimo! Pesto with pistachos, what an ingenious combination!
My first main course was the Mushroom Papillote. What a taste explosion – not just mushrooms but „fancy“ varieties and the sauce with Tarragon and a hint of Pernod – wow! The other evening I had the crepe which was delicious and a host of herbs and tastes... For lunch the following day I went for the burger – the best ever! The bun toasted in a way I’ve never experienced before and it was actually possible to eat it with your hands and in such a way they stayed clean. Wedges well spiced and „ketchup“ and „mayonaise“ outstanding.
The desserts, WOW!
I had Cheese Cake, Frozen Petals, Double Chocolate Cake and Strawberry Kisses.
The only one I left out was the Carrot Cake and I regret forgetting to at least take a piece 2go for the Sunday evening when Heaven is closed for a well deserved rest.
All desserts were out of this world. The texture and taste of the Cheese Cake amazing, the same with the Double Choc – best ever and very fine! Frozen Petals – just go for it, an experience in itself and not to be mistaken for icecream.
Strawberry Kisses... dehydrated layers of strawberry filled with Vanilla Cream – OMG. Another dessert out of Heaven.
Considering all desserts are made with raw natural sweeteners and NO sugar and me being a Sweet Tooth & Chocoholic, I bow before you, oh great Goddess!
Drinks are all as one would expect from this kind of level: Rioja, liqueur (Frangelico - another wow!), coffee with hazelnut milk, simply delicious and cider from hoila gave all courses the necessary company.
I'll be back - with The Wife!

Excelente restaurante al lado del parque del Retiro. El local es realmente acogedor y los camareros son suuuper simpáticos. Te explican cada plato y te ayudan a elegir si estas en la duda. La carta es bastante amplia y muy original. En cuanto a la comida, realmente deliciosa con muchas opciones crudiveganas. Como consejo, la tarta de chocolate estaba buenísima!

This place is amazing. It's very beautiful in the inside. It has this clean and peaceful vibe. The waitresses keep you informed about everything, they recommend you some dishes and answer any question you could have very nicely. We tried two entrants and four main dishes, and every and each of them was completely delicious.

The prices point is between 11 and 14 € per dish, Wich is not cheap. But what they give you is high quality food very well cooked and an excellent service.
I completely recommend this place for especial occasions or if you don't mind to splurge a little bit.

El servicio es excelente al igual que la comida. En mi caso particular, tuvieron la gentileza de prepararme dos platos a pesar de haber llegado después de que habían cerrado la cocina. El postre ha sido uno de los mejores que me he comido en mucho tiempo. En definitiva un sitio para ir y repetir.

This vegan restaurant is a haven. Having been around other parts of Spain including Barcelona, this thus far is the best vegan eatery in not only in Madrid, but in Spain. They also do quite a few raw options too, and best raw vegan dish I had anywhere - the lasagna. This dish was recommended by a wonderful staff who helped me with gluten free selections and recommendations. In fact, all staff are very friendly, professional, very informative, happy to accommodate and recommend. The price is not as cheap as other vegan eateries in Madrid, but once you dine there, you will understand why. The dishes' presentations are beautiful pieces of art, tastes heavenly you don't want it to end, and perfect yet fulfilling portions. The raw lasagna for instance both portion and taste wise can't be compared to other places. So far I ended up going twice, always absolutely trusting the staff with their recommendations, and I still want to dine here again before leaving. You have to dine here.

Staff were really friendly and the food was so tasty. It was a little more pricey than I had expected but I didn't mind so much as I was really happy with the service. The menu wasn't very big however there weren't many dishes at all that sounded boring or that I'd scene a million times before. I especially recommend the strawberry kisses desert!

We visited Level for lunch and had a fabulous experience. Our server, Pablo, suggested that we let him bring various dishes for us to share. He started with bread and a spread that was very tasty. We had veggie rolls (very good), sushi (one of the best dishes), cucumber soup, pate, crepe, and lasagna. All of it was very flavourful. We are so glad we trusted Pablo with the choices. We will be going back again during our trip.
