Simple Moroccan - Edit
The owner/operator is very welcoming. I had a simple plate of couscous with vegetables. After my meal, the owner offered a dessert selection of about a dozen baked goods and described each one.

Delicious heart warming meal - Edit
The owner always welcomes everyone that comes to the restaurant. He doesn't speak much English but he does speak some Spanish. He's super sweet. When we explained we are vegan he told us he would use olive oil instead of butter for the cous cous. He was even interested in the reasons why we decided to go vegan.
Read moreWe had the "formule" including soup, main dish and dessert. Everything we had was super good and flavorful, mostly very healthy and vegetable-based. After the main dish he asked if we were still hungry and wanted more food. Unfortunately the vegan options for the dessert were limited, but nevertheless we had a very nice and filling meal.

Cash only!!
Read moreOne of our cheaper lunches in Tolouse. The owner is absolutely lovely and speaks French, English and Spanish.
We had the complete menu which consisted of a delicious and filling lentil soup, a Moroccan platter (we were even offered seconds!) and some marzipan cookies (only vegan dessert).
The quality of the food was high and portion sizes were excellent.
Very easy to recommend.

Good food and you feel like you're at your pal's place - Edit
Food was really good and the owner is quite something, even though he's lovely. Price is really fair for the quantity (you can have seconds or thirds :O). Only thing it lacks is a wider desert choice (only 2 vegan option but still good).

The main dish was simple, flavourful and varied in components. I had the green bean (haricot vertes)/aubergine dish.

I believe all the main dishes are vegan. Only two of the desserts were vegan and they’re not the cakes or pastries sadly (when I went at least). A little dry and dense for my liking.
Pros: Sweet owner

Feels like visiting a family home! - Edit
This place was amazing! I visited here on my own, but was welcomed warmly. It felt like visiting someone at home. There were several vegan choices, including baked goods, and everything tasted good, although maybe a bit bland. I loved the fact that I was able to choose fruit and veggies for dessert, not only pastries.

Incontournable - Edit

I really wanted to like it.... - Edit
After reading the glowing reviews of this place, I stopped by being very excited to try it and hoping for some homey and delicious North African food. As soon as I walked in I was very warmly greeted by the owner. I agree that the old man is extremely sweet and welcoming. Right then everything was off to a good start.
Read moreI sat down and for 11€ chose the menu that includes an entree, main and dessert. The entree was some sort of green soup that was not explained but tasted very strongly of cumin. It was not particularly good, but not bad either.
For my entree I ordered the pea tajine, which arrived as a bowl with a small serving of overcooked peas, some mush that I was told was eggplant, some yellow rice, and some cous cous with way too much sugar. Everything was lacking flavor and tasted old—the eggplant I’m actually pretty sure was spoiled. However, I’m not surprised. The kitchen is open and not one thing was prepared then and there—everything was simply heated up in a microwave and served....
I’m sorry, but for microwaved food I can stay at home or find the freezer aisle of my nearest grocery store. Especially when said food tastes old—rancid even.
I couldn’t finish my food, even though the portions was small, because it was simply so unpleasant. Still, the kind owner asked me if everything was all right and if I would like a second helping of anything. He is trike very kind and clearly cares a lot about his business. He was very sweetly explained which of the desserts were vegan before I left so as to make sure I did not leave without the dessert included in my meal. I don’t know if I caught this place in an off day or something—though there were several other ppl there not seeming bothered by the constant sound of the microwave in the background.
I wish I could say otherwise, but this place is very disappointing. Save your time and your money.
Pros: Friendly owner , Offers seconds
Cons: Food is microwaved, Old food, Bland

Tasty food, friendly reception - Edit
I liked the Moroccan decor and the owner and staff were very friendly. We had not phoned ahead to request vegan food and we arrived at 1.30ish when they only serve hot food till 2pm. As a result, the service felt a little rushed and we were not able to try the rice that would normally be part of the tagine dish, but were given extra couscous (I've shown my omni friend's meal in one of my photos). The food was very well flavoured and tasty but was not a huge portion. We were a bit surprised that for 11 Euro we only got the main tagine, and no salad or dessert (as a previous reviewer had all of these for the same price) - however, they did not charge anything for our drinks. I would go here again, but would phone in advance and arrive earlier!

Excellent combination of flavors, what a treat for our taste buds! For 11€ we had a refreshing tomato salad, the main dish and a dessert. Their peas tajine was superb and their Moroccan pastry selection was amazing. There was a broad selection of teas and coffees, and the ones we had were really good On top of this, the owner was super friendly. We definitely recommend this spot!

Moroccan Home-Coming - Edit
In the competition for the biggest/cheapest portions of tastiest/healthiest/fanciest food some restaurants don't compete. This one for example: You enter the single room, and although you are unlikely to feel at home (if you not happen to be from North Africa), it feels like a home-coming. The spirit is completely devoid of the materialism of central Toulouse. The Moroccan restaurateur welcoming you (apparently the owner) radiates humanity and generosity. And his guests thank him, having stayed longer than wanted, and leave with a smile on their face, sure to return.

Simple and delicious - Edit
To start with, the owner of the restaurant is absolutely adorable, and the restaurant's dining room is very nicely furnished and decorated : it made me feel comfortable right away.
Read moreThen the food : everything is vegetarian/vegan (I think most dishes are vegan but I asked about mine just in case) and really good. I had a creamy split pea velouté with Moroccan spices which was so comforting, and a killer tajine with green beans and candied lemon with a side of couscous perfumed with cinnamon.
The menu including starter, main course and dessert (I has to give it to my boyfriend since there is honey in pretty much every pastry.. 'sigh') will cost you 10e, so the price-quality ratio is extremely decent.
Waiting for a vegan Moroccan pastry !
Pros: really good food, extremely friendly staff, low prices

Cosy little Moroccan restaurant and tea salon located in the historical centre of Toulouse. The owner was a lovely man who was very warm and hospitable. Would definitely recommend this place.
