Amazing 😍 - Edit
We went a couple of times to this lovely place with its gorgeous Indian food 🫠💕 This place is so good in so many ways - the food of course, with so many colours and flavours. Then the helpful and sweet people who work there. We tried coconut thali and many more dishes. The prices are great for the quality. Warmly recommend you to visit 🥰

Delicious meals full of flavours and spices. The service was very fast and super friendly, we went for lunch and it was not too busy. We also got a little free dessert 😊

The best Indian I have ever had - Edit
Absolutely do not miss. I was visiting Paris and hoping to stick to French cuisine, but this restaurant was next to our hostel so we gave it a go. For only 22 Euro, we got two thalis, two beers, and two samosas. The food is prepared in the front of the shop which is fun to watch. South Indian cuisine that is hard to find in Western countries. The flavors were indescribable...I've never in my life had an Indian so astroundingly amazing as what we had that night. I cannot recommend it enough. And what a delight that it was completely vegan.

Great Vegan indian - Edit
In our last Paris trip, we had the chance to drop by here tree times. the firs time on a weekday afternoon. I ordered the masala dosa and my partner the biriani. The masala dosa was excellent, the accompanying sauces fragrant, fresh, and actually quite spicy. The biriani looked amazing but my partner did not feel it was as fresh. We came back a bit later to have some of their fried. goods for takeaway - they were quite nice and affordable.
Read moreWe came again on a Sunday night and i had the masala dosa again and my partner had the dosa gourmand. I think they may ave run out of ingredients as the sauces for the masala dosa were not the same (I dare say one was clearly salad dressing, and I was also missing a papdum which came with my initial order), the dosa gourmand had a few accompanying curries, some were really great and others a bit bland (like the daal). So based on these experiences there can be some variance in quality and spice depending on when you come by (I personally like spicy and think maybe i should say that). Overall it's very good, but our first visit was the most convincing of it's quality.

This is an absolute gem in Paris. Such tasty Indian food... and you'd never say it's vegan. I had the vegan thali... and it's a huge portion. Loved this place.

Big portions, good food - Edit
We needed a quick place to eat before catching the train (it's right by Gare du Nord) and this place was definitely a good option! The staff were friendly and the portion sizes were very large. The food was great.

Big portions, rather spicy - Edit
The place is in an Indian neighborhood, surrounded by many other Indian places. I appreciated it being fully vegan, it is always a big plus. The portions are big and rather spicy (other people asked for less spices so it is possible). I missed the dishes that are usually served in an Indian restaurant and that are vegan even though the place is not. Could be depending on the region they are from, I am not an expert in Indian cuisine. Flavors mix nicely, not a lot of variety

Large portions, good tasting food - Edit
The restaurant is basic but clean. The service is quick.
Read moreSome of the food (e.g. pakora) are reheated in a microwave but the samosa and spring rolls are not. I preferred the samosa, but they were quite spicy.
The barotha (parantha) were hot and tasty.
Some of the sabzis (referred to as sauces) had a slightly overpowering taste of coconut and aniseed.
The mango lassi was nice.
The prices are very reasonable for a filling meal.

Good but somehow not better than average - Edit
The offering is interesting and the food is ok. The portions are huge but somehow it’s not as good as an “average” Indian restaurant.

Fantastic food - Edit
In the midst of a swarm of restaurants offering vegetarian food close to Gare de l'Est, Le Petit Veg stands out with a clear "Vegan" sign. Admittedly, I'm not particularly experienced with any food culture from the Indian subcontinent, and thus might not be much of a judge when comparing with similar restaurants, but this was the highlight of our trip to Paris from an eating perspective. We had the Thali, both with basmati and coconut rice, and every single dish served was an experience of its own with rich flavours and interesting combinations. The only remark would be what might have been okra that was a bit on the chewy side.

Enormous but So good! - Edit
We were worried at first as the place was empty but it surpassed all expectations.
Read moreWe had the battered aubergine and the bonda for starters. The bonda was really lovely. The aubergine ok, but needed some sauce or something to make it less dry. The thalis were amazing but enormous! Especially after having such large starters we couldn’t finish our mains. Having said that every single thali (including the tapioca pudding) was incredible. I highly recommend the coconut rice! Delicious.
Pros: All vegan, Very reasonably priced , Delicious
Cons: Plain decor and not so comfy chairs
