So many options - Edit
Choose from anything, but watch the price. Got the pea hummus which was great, but it was served with literally one cracker and one half slice of bread. Over priced for what you get.

Quirky and delightful fully vegan restaurant on the UES - Edit
Le Botaniste
Read moreFully vegan restaurant located in Manhattan’s upper east side with menu options and DIY as well!
Food****
A delightful surprise from a completely vegan restaurant that sports an eclectic menu of healthy options. We ordered the Tibetan Mama, which was a delicious curry sauce with quinoa, vegetables, and we added the “free range” tofu (haha)! The flavor was there, the texture of the tofu was perfect, and the vegetables were cooked just right. We love the humor that they inject into this quirky little restaurant designed to look like an old pharmacy! The Superseed Avocado bite hit the spot and complimented the Tibetan Mama nicely w/ a more neutral taste for the palette.
Service****
Friendly counter service with a very knowledgeable food preparer that informs guests of all their offerings. We were very pleased with service all around.
Atmosphere****
Cute, quirky, designed like an old style pharmacy and plenty of places to eat with SPACE! A god send in New York!
Price$$
Not the cheapest but not expensive by any means. If you’re like us you can easily split a bowl (portion sizes are hefty).
Pros: Hefty portion sizes, Moderately priced, Delicious flavors
Cons: Might be expensive for some

Delicious salad bowl - Edit
All the ingredients were fresh and the combo was great. Only negative was that the bowl was a bit small given the price.

I had the tagine stew on a rainy evening and it perfectly hit the spot. The rich broth, stewed veggies and quinoa were perfect! I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

great fast casual - Edit
I’ve tried and enjoyed their bowls but their bites aren’t that good. You can DIY but my recommendation is their soup of the day, or the tajine/tibetan stews if you’re mad hungry. Their drinks are okay, and their best dessert is probably the omega 3 brownie or the apple volcano. There’s also a bathroom available downstairs.

Love, Love, Love!!!!!! - Edit
I can’t say enough great things about Le Botaniste! From the DELICIOUS food to the happy nice people who work there it was an A+++😊👏👏👏. Did I mention that it is 100% Gluten Free?!! AND great desserts?!!! While I was there I asked a ton of questions which were all cheerfully & patiently answered. A few other customers were first timers & I saw the guy behind the counter never falter with a smile & a patient answer (many of the same things we had just asked). I also enjoyed a glass of their organic wine: a Syrah from France....also very good. I can’t recommend this place enough, we were trying to devise ways to make it back there for dinner or lunch the rest of our stay in the city 😋. I had the Magic Miso bowl, my daughter had the Jackuma Salad. Apple Volcano with cashew cream & Brownie desserts. Next time I’m going for the Moroccan Stew over Quinoa!!! I want to try everything!!

enjoyed food while eating it, then it made me feel great!!! - Edit
great service, large menu full of delicious healthy food. ordered mezze platter, the tangine bowl, & the beet/apple/ginger juice. the coconut ceviche (part of platter) is addicting, the tangine tastes nothing like tangine but it was delicious in its own way. juice superb. one of those places where you want & will try everything.

Nice spot - Edit
Came here during an afternoon running errands in the upper east side. I was surprised by the lovely decor and vibe, as well as the kind staff. The place is slightly pricey, but it is fresh and yummy. The tofu was a bit disappointing and was pre packaged and seasoned, which I disliked.

Gluten free, healthy & hearty - Edit
I was so happy to find an all vegan gluten free spot. I had the vegetable tajine, juice, and the brownie. Everything was really fresh and well prepared. You can’t go wrong with any of their bowls. This is a healthy spot. Don’t expect the desserts to be decadent, and don’t expect to find any vegan junk food here. If you’re looking for satisfying gluten free options, you’ll be happy with this spot.

only worth the price if organic is important to you - Edit
I ordered the Magic Miso Bowl which came to around 14$. It contained a few noodles and shredded carrot/ginger only, so not really worth the price for a soup kind of dish. I know it's organic so that's probably the reason for the price. Taste was good but I would not go there again...

Very underwhelming - Edit
I was expecting something really good and refined, but was disappointed by the (very) mediocre food, the unenthusiastic service and the prices, which were much too high for a fast food type restaurant with such uninteresting food. I feel bad for this review because I had high hopes, but as a vegan foodie with good taste, I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

I’ve been to le botaniste 3 times and every time there are different menu choices. Everything is vegan as you know and the head chef that is at the front was very nice and helpful. It’s a cozy and clean sit-down restaurant that you can enjoy your lunch with friends or colleagues.
