Croissants and pastries in eclectic Fremont - Edit
I have had plain vegan croissants before, but this was the first place where I found an almond croissant and it is my FAVORITE. Recently they have also been making pistachio croissants with a little cream filling, and the baker put out lamingtons before also.
Read moreI have tried several slices of cake, and like the textures, but I wish they had more varied flavors, and I feel they are gravitating away from cakes unless you want to order a whole one. I have also gotten the strawberry shortcake and the tiramisu, both good. It's a very casual, welcoming atmosphere and the owner does a lot to foster a community in the surrounding neighborhood. Prices are on the higher end, going toward fair wages and a good product, but just be aware. For example the almond croissant, plus tax & tip will run around ~$9.
Pros: Laminated pastries!, Relaxed space, Conscientious owner
Cons: Higher prices

Really good baked goods - Edit
The baked goods and matcha latte were amazing!! The almond croissant was the best pastry out of the 4 I tried. The breakfast burrito was just ok. The space was also very cute and great for working or meeting with friends

Great coffee and croissant - Edit
I love the great tasty hemp milk latte and a classic vegan croissant. The croissant was so flaky croissant, buttery but not oily. It’s hard to find latte that actually has coffee flavoring nowadays.

Fantastic vegan baked goods - Edit
We love this place!!!! Vegan croissants, almond croissants, strawberry shortcake, tiramisu, fruit tarts, key lime pie, custom cakes, and more. The horchata is delicious as well! And I love, love, love that they’re a mutual aid project as well. Two people came in to use the free pantry while we were there. It’s in a fun neighborhood to visit - it’s five minutes from the troll.

Should have brought home more croissants - Edit
How cute! Such an inviting space, it made me wish I had time to chat there with somebody instead of running in during lunch. My husband and I thought the croissants were the best we've ever had! The strawberry shortcake was also delicious, we're excited to try more!

Needs more selection - Edit
I went in looking for some chocolate dessert but unfortunately they had nothing but a croissant. I ended up ordering a breakfast sandwich since I love those. It was apparent it was heated in the microwave as the jam on it was freezing. I’m sure this place is better than what I experienced.

Cute and tasty - Edit
Got a fruit tart and an iced tea to enjoy there. The tart was incredible with fresh fruit. Everything looked incredible. You gotta pick up some treats here. Also, open Sundays from 9 to 4. I was having trouble submitting that update but it's on their website and Instagram!

You Have to be Kidding Me - Edit
As you open the door you are greeted with the smells of heaven. The vibe mellow, the music subtle, and there is nothing lazy, repeat, nothing lazy about the baked goods going into your mouth. What becomes revealed to you is the intention, care and compassion that goes into making that damn baked good so freaking good.

Beautifully open and aesthetically pleasing space, with wonderfully mellow horchata, and a delicious best ever almond croissant - looks/feels/tastes like an exaggerated version in the best possible way. Dolly Parton as a woman is this croissant as a croissant. Should have a special individual name for it, like DP. Mexican cookie was something I never knew I needed until I met it, like meeting a calm, centered, mild-mannered, but sweet person, who is your one true companion. Regular croissant a bit too much just like regular bread for my tastes, but perhaps with some honey or jam to jazz up that perfect outside crust, though.

The almond croissant is just absolutely out of this world. The cakes are amazing too. Chocolate croissant is 9/10. Check it out! Great place with a mission.

New vegan bakery - Edit
Newly opened Lazy Cow is the closest vegan bakery to me currently. I’ve had the chocolate, mint, gingerbread cake, the chocolate chip cookies, some cakes, etc, I forget the others lol. The cookies are really really tasty, would highly recommend. Honestly the cakes have been a little bland with too intense icings for my taste, but the textures are great😄all the workings in place to become Seattle’s new favorite vegan bakery. I’m rooting for them! I believe this is Chicana owned and operated, so I’m also really excited to see how this influences the future bakes and to try some new things!

Great selection - Edit
They have a great selection of yummy vegan treats! I got the concha, lemon meringue pie, and flan. I loved them all, especially the lemon meringue pie. I used to love lemon meringue pie before I was vegan and now I finally got to eat a vegan version!!! The pastries here are really unique, as it's usually hard to find vegan versions of them, so I'd definitely recommend going here.

Wonderful cake ordering experience and an incredible Spiced Pear Frangipane Tart - Edit
Lazy Cow Bakery is excellent. I had a birthday cake made here for a friend recently, and while in the shop, I also picked up one of the Spiced Pear Frangipane Tarts; both were wonderful. The cake I ordered was the Cardamom flavor, and I added the raspberry compote filling, both of which I highly recommend. I look forward to trying more items from their menu soon. The space itself is also very interesting, and I can't wait to see what they do with it later on. I recommend walking in and seeing what they have in their display case if you happen to be in Fremont.

Where did you order the nrthday cake from in Fremont? I live in First Hill, Trey. My Vegan restaurants are: Chuminh Tofu, Plum Bistro, and Life on Mars(closed due to probably ONE covid case until the 15th). I occasionally cheat and eat a vegan😆salted caramel croissant from Sugar Bakery1014 Madison with a cup of chai wth almond milk.

Everything I have tried from lazy cow has been amazing! Some of my faves are the pear frangipane and the lemon meringue tarts. Non-vegans would certainly not miss the animal products! I really hope they are able to raise enough money to open indoor seating soon!
