The best dumplings - Edit
This is one of those places where you can tell they're passionate about making good food. The owner speaks English and she took the time to explain everything on the menu to me and make recommendations. She said they use all natural ingredients and make their own food colorings from vegetables.
Read moreI had the assorted dumplings and spicy sesame noodles and both were absolutely delicious - and so cheap!

Sooooo delicious! - Edit
Big servings and you get so much food for the price! Ordered way too much but we’re so full and satisfied. The dumplings are so delicious. The spicy rice (extra spicy) is perfect for my spice loving tastebuds.

Excellent dumplings and noodles - Edit
All-vegan restaurant with delicious handmade dumplings and tasty noodles. I had a bowl of ten dumplings and some spicy noodles, which were fantastic and stunningly inexpensive. The noodles came in a rainbow of colors which each had a somewhat different flavour. The noodles had a rich and spicy sauce. And it was all very filling. I felt a bit like a stuffed dumpling myself when I finally stumbled out onto the street.
Read moreWhen I went, nobody there spoke English, but I managed fine. Seems to be a family run place and has absolutely nothing going on in terms of atmosphere; it's fairly dark and cluttered, and on my visit the grandma running the place was seated in the dining area with two kids watching Japanese variety shows on full blast. But don't let that deter you. This place is very much worth the visit.

All handmade, top quality - Edit
This place is such a treasure! It looks unassuming, unpretentious, but the food is second to none, as is the hospitality.
Read moreThe eatery seems to be operated by a family, and the lady who spoke to us was fluent in English, and took the time to explain their menu and offerings. They specialise in noodles and dumplings, all made by hand. She gave us recommendations, walked us through spicy-ness levels, what the skin of each dumpling was made from (all natural and no colouring, and they each bring a different tone to the plate), and we were so impressed that after starting with a noodle portion and 10 dumplings to share, we doubled it! We were two people by the way.
Every texture is perfect. The noodles are cooked al dente and have a good bite, with sauces and vegetable julienned to create the ideal mouthfeel. The dumplings are rich and plump, and my favourite was the bok choy, fresh and slightly peppery.
We’ll definitely come back. And we still have to take pics - we were so taken by the food that just had to dig in and forgot!
Pros: All vegan, Fluent English, All delicious, recommend noodles and dumplings
Cons: Looks unassuming, dark

Colorful dumplings - Edit
If you are willing to spend NT$7 per handmade dumpling for an order of 10, this is your jam. It’s funny how many times I must have passed this restaurant, but because it was on the opposite side of the street of my destination, I never noticed it. The six flavors they normally have are 高麗菜/cabbage (in white, undyed dumpling skin), 蘿蔔絲/shredded daikon radish (in bright-orange, carrot-dyed dumpling skin), 青江菜/baby bok choy (in green, baby bok choy-dyed dumpling skin), 大白菜/Napa cabbage (in red yeast dumpling skin), 胡瓜/cucumber (in brown, buckwheat-dyed dumpling skin), and 南瓜/pumpkin (in yellow, turmeric-dyed dumpling skin). If you can't decide on a single flavor of dumplings, you can order a plate of mixed dumplings for the same price (10 for NT$70) by telling the staff when you order (綜合/zōng hé) since it's not an on-menu selection, but the chef chooses which two flavors you only get one of. My favorites were baby bok choy and daikon radish. I always think pumpkin dumplings will be better than they actually taste. I also ordered the 三醬飯/three-sauce rice, which came with white rice. I wish they offered something healthier like brown or purple rice. In December, they make their limited winter fennel dumplings with purple skins (dyed with butterfly pea flowers). You also have the option of buying their dumplings frozen (50 for NT$325, averaging NT$6.5 each) in single flavors only.

My favourite local place by far!! - Edit
A small, local eatery that I fell in love with straight away. Watching the dumplings being made was very meditative and the only person who could speak English made jokes and took the time to explain the dishes to me. I asked her to choose my dish and was really happy and satisfied. All the staff were so nice and I enjoyed being with the locals. I will continue to support this place while I am here.

A humble restaurant on a quiet street, but the quality of the food is unmatched. Noodles and dumplings are made from scratch in front of you. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Make sure to try their house-made sauces to add to your meal as well. They are also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!
