Good place if you like a lot of Tofu

A young coconut to drink for only 3.75$ - wow!
They serve really great curry :)) exactly the right spice and so tasty! But it's too much Tofu AND too few veggies. When I ordered I asked if they could substitute but the server said no. She offered extra veggies for 4$ add. I feel bad to throw food away - why can they no give me half the portion size of Tofu and a few more pieces of veggies?
I really liked the food but find the server was little helpful and the politics of the kitchen are not adequate? My recommendation: go with a friend, share a dish and add two sides of steamed veggies and two of plain rice. Then you're meal is healthy ;))

good food, very bad delivery.

Food is pretty good, great portion sizes. The dumplings both steamed and fried are good, spicy mango chicken is great, combo fried rice was real good! However I wish I had more hands to give them more thumbs down on their delivery. Two hours once, just over an hour the second time, and I live really close.

Pros: portions

Cons: delivery takes waaay to long

LA Vegan

My husband and I are in LA. His place is more Asian fusion. The curry was a little bland but still good but my husband at the pepper steak and it was delicious and the prices are very reasonable.

great food and service

I had lunch with a friend and she thought it was the most authentic Thai food she had tasted on the west side including non vegan. Would like to go back and try their non Thai food.

Pros: authentic

Pretty good

Pretty standard vegan food with Asian dishes and a lot of popular foods with mock meat like burgers, tacos, wraps, burritos etc. definitely salty and really oily, I got the wonton soup and the sate. Definitely a junk food type of place in my option but worth checking out if you're in the area.

Thai cooks in the kitchen

...and that's one great thing about this restaurant, because I've eaten at too many ethnic cuisine restaurants where the cooks in the kitchen are native to those countries and the food don't taste authentic.

Here the kitchen knows how to make Thai food. I've eaten here several times and have also gotten delivery on handful of occasions. Here's my LA Vegan review update. The menu is quite extensive and very similar to the other Thai vegan eateries in and around greater LA. To some extent they all "copy" each other.

I usually get the tom ka khai with mock chicken (coconut and mushroom soup); it's pretty taste. My new favorite is the fried rice but with white rice instead of brown. Curries are usually good. Pancake is a flop (mushy inside).

Note that the Thai food is only mildly spicy, made for American taste buds.

Pros: kitchen is quick, the Thai flavors are good

get pho soup noodle fix here

I love this place and go there all the time. I also love soup noodle. found out the chef can make Vietnam Pho soup noodle and that's pretty much what I get all the time. Not on the menu but you can ask for it. usually only available on weekday when that chef is there.

Pros: vegan, has Vietnam pho soup noodle

Cons: sometimes spots all taken in back parking lot

Nice little place, Choice of mock meats or tofu

I went there with a friend on a Saturday evening. The little place was full, which is a good sign.
For a couple of items on the menu you can choose between soy meats and tofu, so if you're not a fan of soy meats this is perfect.
We ordered the wouton soup which was yummy and the green curry which was good but could have been better.
Service was nice and friendly.

Pros: if you don't like mock meats you can choose tofu f, all vegan

Delicious food and great service :-)

I love visiting this place. There were so many options on the menu. My boyfriend chose a vegetable fried rice and that was what we liked the best. The egg rolls were very tasty as well. The place is very well decorated and service was fast and nice :-)

I walked 2.5 miles to eat here, I'd do it again.

Was staying at the Marina del Rey Marriot and found this place online. Decided instead of taking a Taxi I'd hoof it. It was a long walk but the food was really good. I had the Hot wings and the "chicken" Dinner" both were really good. At the end I got a cookie to to eat on my walk back to the hotel. I'd walk the 50 minutes again. Hoping I'm back in the area some day to try it again.

inexpensive and tasty

Favorite items are the deluxe breakfast, spicy beef salad, high protein salad, and spicy mint leaves. There are many "vegan Thai" places in LA, and I think this is one of the best, if not the best. The food is well prepared and the price is right. Also love the delivery! The deluxe breakfast is one of the best deals around.

Pros: price, taste, delivery

Great Food

I am a frequent customer at LA Vegan. My favorite dishes are the Orange Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Sweet and Sour Seitan, Tom Yum soup, Deluxe breakfast, and kung pao tofu. So basically, the whole menu!
The staff there is great, they are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place.

Pros: tasty, good value, variety

Cons: small space for dining

Go for lunch

This is my place for lunch. I like the Orange 'Chicken' -- oh, can't get enough of that sauce. I also like the Tom Kah Kai soup with the coconut milk and the tempeh wrap - oh, and the pancakes - oh, and the 'fish' and chips. I'm sure you'll find something you love on the menu. I can't get enough of this place. The people there are so nice.

Pros: Quiet place

Cons: Very small

LA Vegan sums it all

very cozy and clean, i like the atmosphere, but i can't imagine what is would be if it is full, only a few table in a small corner room. the staff is very nice, unobtrusive, yet helpful, fast and efficient, yet professional. i'd assume they are the owners. we loved the thai tea, great balance, not to creamy and classic herbaceous touch and not too sweet. the coconut soup was also great, even the mock meat inside was yummy, just a touch of lemon-grass and bamboo, and the broth aromatic and rich, great combinations of sweet and spicy flavors. we also had fish and chips, which i devoured, i don't think they were too greasy, just simple and delicious. we also ordered some stuffed mushroom special, which was kind of weird, i almost could not determine what it has, i'm sure it was mock meat and cheese, but pretty bland. i definitely did not like the green curry, but it was my first time for green curry, so i won't judge them on it.
overall i'd definitely go there again, i think the atmosphere and the friendly staff will draw us back, the food is hit or miss, but isn't that what dining is all about, the perfect bite when you least expect it.

Pros: friendly staff, coconut soup, atmosphere

Cons: ****

Drunken Noodles

I LOVE the Drunken Noodles. I had them with mock shrimp and thought it was excellent. Just the right amount of spice. The Mock Salmon Nori Rolls weren't as good. They have a great variety of items and even deliver.

Pros: great prices, good variety, deliver

Cons: only provided chopsticks, limitted parking, do not accept AMEX

Pretty Good

Another Thai Vegan restaurant. Food is pretty good. Not the best, but better than most. People working there are super friendly. My only complaint is that it's over priced for what it is. The food is not spectacular, yet they charge as if it is spectacular.

Mostly a carry out / delivery place

There are only about 3 or 4 tables, but its a nice new clean place. Rumors are its pretty much a carbon copy of The Vegan Joint (better for dining in) but hey, nothing wrong with duplicating a good thing! I really pigged out and had the Vegan Salmon Nori rolls, Lentil Burger, Fries and No Udder Carrot Cake. All was really good. I don't think I'd go over The Vegan Joint, but hey they deliver and parking is sure a lot easier! Parking in the rear and no meters on the street! Friendly staff. If you live in the delivery radius definitely grab a menu and consider yourself LUCKY

Pros: DELIVERY

Cons: small

Yummy

I went there couple days ago, the food was fresh. I'd recommend the seaweed roll and the mock salmon roll. Also, my friend had the seitan wrap, comes along with Tahini sauce, yum yum.
