The owners are very friendly and food is delicious. You can enjoy your afternoon playing board games. They have a customer card, so your tenth drink will be on the house.

Cozy place! - Edit
I visited Granada last winter and before going had already listed La Tienda on my "to visit" places list (mostly because of the cute name!). I was able to find it on a strolling-around-the-city kind of day and it was exactly what I needed - cozy - and it felt a bit like a peaceful retreat from the city, while I had my delicious matcha latte and figured on the maps where to go next. If you love books and unicorns (and also coffee!), you'll love this place! This place has personality and warmth and the staff is really nice. Unfortunately I didn't try anything else as I wasn't able to come back again during my visit but for sure, next time I'm in Granada, this will be a place where I'll return to.

The BEST coffee of Granada - Edit
I simply love this place. Warm, cozy, friendly staff and truly wonderful coffee. In my humble opinion, the best you can find in Granada, hands down. I have been here a few times already and Larissa and Jaime always surprise us with new flavours and cakes (let alone their mastery and knowledge on coffee!).

Bad coffe, bad "cake" disgusting toilet - Edit
Was not good at all. The other reviews look like friends reviews. The cappuccino was very poor (water flavour) and the cakes very simple and not very tasty, quite dry, not a very good option for cakes. The bathroom do not exist or they will "let" you use the staffs bathroom as "favor" but avoid it, is dirty and disgusting.

Dear future customers,
Read moreWe’re addressing this reply to you and not to the reviewer himself because the same review has been left and replied to on Google already, before he had published it here too. Feel free to check our Google profile if you find that necessary. We care deeply about all our customers and we try our best to satisfy everyone, but we are aware that’s not always possible. This is one of those cases. No matter what we will say or do it will not work out when one is not willing to have a dialogue. However, we find it is essential to comment on the issues raised here.
1. Most of our clients become our friends. By the time they finish their coffee we might know each other by names, with some we ended up going for dinner together after our shift, we even almost hosted for a night a tourist whose accommodation arrangements fell off last minute. In that sense yes, our reviews are from friends, but we will not accept any allusion that they are fake. We respect too much our clients to allow for any mockery of their time and consideration.
2. This review is referring to a staff only part of our space. Local legislation allows small businesses to operate without a public restroom. However, you are welcome to use our staff only restroom, we even installed a little step for your young children to use it more comfortably. We know it is not ideal, so we have applied to the municipality to allow us to expand our restroom for public access. While it is only a formality it takes a lot of time to have an assessment by the city hall. Spain is a wonderful place, but not known for its bureaucratic efficiency. However, we are positive that soon we’ll be able to offer more services. Until then we have attached to our photo gallery a pic of our current restroom (that the reviewer has not even seen with his own eyes) so you can decide for yourself.

Read more3. As vegans we have chosen this life style because it is the healthiest and best for the animals and environment option. Consequently, we choose to serve cakes that are not replacing the eggs and dairy from traditional backing with extra sugar, gluten, palm oil that destroys the orangutans’ habitat and turns up global warming, saturated or hydrogenated fats, artificial sweeteners or coloring, etc,. Our cakes are made with buckwheat, oat, coconut, rice, corn, or/and spelt flours, very often they are sweetened only with fresh or dried fruit and spices, and most of the ingredients are organic, fair trade and locally produced. We have them delivered on an every 4-6 days basis so they are always fresh. Our delivery systems are carbon neutral and plastic free. We understand that for some people this results in what feels to them dry and not tasty, but most of our clients appreciate our approach and share our values.
4. We’re only working with specialty coffee. This means our beans are 100% Arabica, rate 80 or more on the Specialty Coffee Association scale (max is 100), are hand roasted locally (we work with a roaster from Estepona that ranked 2nd place in the Spanish roasting championship in 2018). We use a lever espresso machine custom made for us in Venice, Italy and only burr grinders. Our daily routine starts with the grinder and coffee machine calibration to make sure we’re brewing a nice cup. We’re using scales and volumetric cups to ensure that the ratio of dry coffee to liquid yield is correct and recently started using a refractometer to measure the extraction rate of our shots so we know for a fact that we’re making a round and balanced espresso that allows the drinker to enjoy all the subtle aromas and flavors good coffee carries. For milky coffees such as cappuccinos we use high quality organic oat and soy milks, plant based calcium fortified so they will not curdle in contact with the coffee and only add natural sweetness. Therefore, if one is used to the very strong, burned, commercial coffees available in Spanish supermarkets or traditional coffee shops we definitely do not serve that and our coffee may seem weak. We aren’t inspired by the sugary madness that chain coffee shops promote either. So please, if you have specific preferences share them with us and we’re sure we’ll find something tailored to your taste.
Dear future clients, please forgive us for writing such a long reply and we hope you’ll give us the chance to shine!

Well, I completely disagree with this pretty inelegant opinion. Their cappuccino is definitely among my top 3!

La comida era super rica - the food was super good - Edit
We got matcha lattes with soy milk, tomato and avocado paninis, and a piece of v cheese cake. All of the food is vegan. The only non-vegan thing that they carry is cows milk as an option for those who want that. Very cute decor, wonderful employees, great food. For both lattes, 2 sandwiches, and v cheese cake it was only 14€.

Speciality coffee and vegan treats - Edit
It is very refreshing to find a place that obviously focuses on speciality coffee and at the same time offers a nice selection of food options. They don't have an actual kitchen so the menu is not extensive, yet the food is delicious, always fresh, and local & organically grown whenever possible. You can choose between cereal bowls, smoothies, smoothie bowls (served in organic coconut kitchenware), toasts made with craft bread with both savory and sweet toppings, sandwiches, cakes (sometimes raw vegan options too), cookies, miso soups. Since everything is fresh, it depends on the season and availability. They also have speciality teas, always in loose leaves and a variety of non coffee lattes (beetroot, turmeric, matcha, chai - handmade in Australia). And now the coffee not only is 100% Arabica, fair trade, organic and rainforest alliance certified when possible, freshly roasted, it's also prepared by baristas on a lever espresso machine or various manual brewing methods. They use biodegradable to go containers, and there's free water available for both clients and whoever passes by with a thirst. You can buy a coffee in suspension that they will later offer to someone in need.
Read moreThe place is nicely decorated, made from scratch by the owners and filled with local art, upcycled furniture, plants, books and magazines.
The owners are the ones behind the bar too. Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and passionate about their work, coffee and cooking. If it's not too busy they are very open to share with you information about the coffee shop, coffee making, veganism, and whatever might come up.
Definitely worth a visit and then returning if you have the time.

A mind-blowing experience!! - Edit
This place is really one of a kind! First of all, you enter and you feel like if you were in a dream - the atmosphere and decoration is super creative and full of good vibes!
Read moreThe staff is very friendly and expert in coffee - every time I go, I learn something new 😁 or try something new (the other day I had a bottle of kombucha for the first time in my life) and they have cool books you can read for free too 😉
They have delicious and handmade vegan biscuits and other sweet treats (last time they had Japanese mochi!!!). Their selection of international coffee is 👌👌👌 but my favourite drink there is their vegan chai latte 😍😍😍 the mint one was also super yummy, though!
And another thing that made me fall in love with this special place in the heart of Granada is their passion to preserve the ecosystem - the glasses, cups, forks, knives and tissues are biodegrade ♥️
Pros: Delicious and hard to find beverages, Eco friendly ❤️, Good vibes

This place is Unique. When I first went in I knew it was probably one of the best coffeeshops in town: it feels like home. Sustainable coffee, vegan cakes, local juices and kombuchas, advocado toasts... healthy stuff of superior quality!! And it is not only because of carefully selected products, but bartenders with long experience and great converstation. And boardgames are about to come!

Best Coffee In Spain and Awesome Vegan Breakfast in my Life - Edit
La Tienda de los Unicornios really delivers on its promise of offering everybody a home away from home. I spent all my holiday mornings having coffee here and the atmosphere and people were amazing. The specialty coffees they serve can only be matched by the scrumptious foods they serve - and I am a great food lover. The avocado on toast was by far my favorite, but nobody can say no to some of their vegan cereals, vegan chocolate cakes, or fresh fruit and organic nuts and seeds toppings. I would move in with the unicorns for their joyful and free spirit, amazing coffees and teas (I recommend the dirty chai to whoever wants to experience an out of this world experience), superb selection of breakfast (and even lunch) options, and the cozy, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere you will find inside the coffee shop. My favorite spot in Spain entirely!
