Varied Vegan Choices - Edit
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised to discover two pages of vegan dishes amongst the usual meat choices. They also do a vegan breakfast and sell vegan muffins. My husband chose the veganised caesar salad and I had the chick pea fritter on wok-fried vegetables - all very, very good indeed. As we had mentioned to the waitress that we were vegan, she called out the chef who decided to talk to us - he has been vegan for 3 months and he told us it's the best thing he's ever done!

Great choice of vegan plates - Edit
Vegan breakfast option and great choice of vegan mains (including a pizza) and tapas. We ate there three times during our short stay in Malaga, it was great every time.

Although in Malaga there are many vegan places, they are often crowded or closed during the afternoon (4-7).
Read moreLa Plaza saved us from hunger.
Their vegan menu is quite rich, so you can pick up from tapas through full meal dishes.
My friend had a burger with home made fries, I did have a pizza with sweet potato, broccoli, hummus, basil and tomatoes. I love the thin dough and spices. You will not be disappointed with neither food or drinks there. And check out the toilets! They are pretty amazing...
Waiters are very nice, but sometimes they get crazy and might need your help to get you your order :)
Pros: Location, Food, Amazing Royal Toilet
Cons: Staff is bit chaotic, Prices bit higher

Great vegan options! - Edit
Separate page for vegan options! Super nice outdoor seating, they even gave us blankets when we were cold! Open area with a view of the plaza and Roman theatre. I ordered the Mexican plate and really enjoyed it!

Good food - Edit
Nice outdoor seating and a new vegan menu. The options seemed a bit too adapted to tourists and I wouldn't say it's the best place to go if you want traditional Spanish food, but except from that it was great. Quite expensive, but it tasted very well! (12.5 euro for pizza)

5 star vegan options! - Edit
This restaurant is situated in an open courtyard area directly facing the amphitheatre and it is a pleasure to sit and eat in the outdoor area. We were blown away by the taste and variety of vegan options! So fresh and delicious! A must visit in Malaga. On the pricier side but you get what you pay for as it’s prime tourist location😄Added bonus - vegan pina colada which was incredible!

Vegan section on menu! - Edit
So good to see an advertised vegan section in the menu in a busy tourist area! The area is really lovely and picturesque. The service was great and quick. The food was really nice - same menu as someone has previously posted photos of. Had the Mexican fajita style dish which was delicious!! Also had the pizza which I really enjoyed but my boyfriend was less of a fan - more hummus based rather than vegan cheese. Not cheap but not outrageous prices either. Overall really glad we found it and would go again!

Shared five dishes and all were vegan and fantastic. In a city with a dearth of vegan options seeing a separate section on the menu was a fabulous surprise.

A place definitely worth a visit if you're the only vegan in your company. Very nice hummus and baba ganoush and they can make the vegetarian pasta vegan.

I asked to make the veggie pasta vegan. Then the sunflower and pinenuts seeds were missing. All was swimming in oil. I don't recommand. And it's more expensive than the average.

Delicious food, lovely restaurant. - Edit
Set in a really pretty square, La Plaza is a lovely restaurant. It feels very comfortable, with a nice atmosphere. The tapas was delicious - I had the hummus, the shepherds pie tapas, and the lentils. They were all delicious, and thanks to a very good key I could tell what allergens were included. I said 'no queso' so it was all good. My omni companions were very happy with their meals too; a chicken salad and a hamburger.
Read moreNot as expensive as it could have been; the tapas is €3-€5, but substantial. Atmosphere, service and drinks were all very good too. Nice coffee and smoothies. I would recommend.

Slow service - Edit
We went there last week. When we sat down on the terrace, we were just given the menu. I did not want to eat anything because only vegetarian items where marked on the menu. Then the waitress did not come back. She walked up and down from inside the restaurant to the terrace a lot of times, always carrying one or two glasses or just an oil-set. Not one time did she glance in our direction, or any other direction than where she was going. One other waiter was cleaning the tables around us not giving our empty table a second look. At last we would've gotten up and leave, but I was so thirsty now, we tried to attract her attention and gestured. She finally came and took our drink order. We then had to wait another 10 minutes before she came with our drinks.
