piatti semplici e saporiti

Pros: praticamente tutto vegano

Great food

Our greeting was confusing--asking if we wanted to sit or not--and then we got an explanation of the menu items. A little bit of a language barrier, but as they say, all's well that ends well. The menu is all vegetarian, and almost totally vegan. We sat outside and shared a lovely pasta with a piselli (pea) cream sauce. Our entrees were an amazing plate of sliced seitan with caramelized onions, and polpetini--fried balls of seasoned millet with grilled veggies and a sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious. The coperto was eu2, quite reasonable since it includes water and bread. We did find the prices high (piatti secondi were eu13), but the quality was so good and the service was wonderful as well. It was nice to see they were very busy for lunch and people are starting to see vegan food in a more positive light! BE sure to check hours and days for restaurants, there is no consistency and it can be confusing.
