Cucina stellare - Edit

Pros: Bio, unglaublich lecker, sehr freundliche Bedienung

Tutto bene!! - Edit
I just ate an organic vegan menu! It started with beautifully decorated green pesto spaghetti. The pesto had a taste of orange mixed with chocolate nips!! Very creative and tasty dish! After that the lovely waitress served a dish of mixed cabbage with seitan and vegetable sauce! The lovestory ended with a blueberry pie, orange marmalade and edible flowers!! After the meal I drank an organic coffee with soy milk! This restaurant is designed especially beautiful with white tables & chairs. On the walls are hanging colorful abstract paintings and in the background we can softly listen to relaxing music. They offer many types of organic wine. All ingredients are organic! They serve free filtered water with the menu! The staff is very professional and fast! They have space for big groups in three different rooms. While waiting for the dish they offer nature lifestyle magazines and books to read, they also offer colors for kids to paint. This restaurant is run by passionate vegans! The restaurant is located on the first floor, but it has a lift for wheelchairs, so everyone is welcome! I would definitely come back and if I wanted to impress my friends or have a nice party with them, I would bring them here!!

Just, wow! - Edit
Not only this place is fully vegan, the food is just mind blowing! I’ve been to quite a few vegan places and I’d have to put this one amongst the top for its menu’s originality, sophistication and taste. It’s nothing pretentious, not ‘fine dining’, but very efficient cuisine using only plant based ingredients and a lovely service and atmosphere. Menus are seasonal so changing. I had the chickpea soup and the polenta with mushroom and truffle oil. My wife had the Pappa al pomodoro (my favorite dish I think!) and the polenta too. For dessert I had the pear cake with melting chocolate (they had run out of the chocolate cake...) and my wife had the carrot cake. It was all delicious and definitely one of the culinary highlights of our month long stay in Italy! We’d have loved to go back for dinner but it only opens at 7pm for dinner and we had to catch our ferry... If you’re in Livorno and have the opportunity to go there, you won’t be disappointed.

Best in the world - Edit
An insane taste and texture experience. This place was the highlight of our Italy trip, we only went twice as we wanted to try a range of places but I’d happily have gone everyday, and will probably go back to Italy just to go back here. I’m almost agitated by all the other venues that receive 5 stars on a generous whim when they simply couldn’t attempt the excellence of this place. I live in London and have been to a lot of good vegan restaurants around the world and this is by far the best. Thank you chef! Would only warn the staff that the glassware has a detergent residue and corrupts the smell of the wine which happened both times, (we did a quick swish with water by the plant pot which saved us) just something to look out for.

Great dining experience - Edit
This small, fully vegan restaurant is a delight. Excellent food expertly prepared and presented. There are three seasonal menus of three dishes each. The cost of each of these menus is 25- 30 euro. Alternatively you can order any of the nine dishes individually. We shared two of the menus, “evergreen” and “eggplant” and had a desert and coffee each. We found the amount of food perfect. An excellent Sunday lunch in all respects.

Only vegan spot in town is fantastic - Edit
Excellent food. There are three different menus - Rustic, Seasonal, and Illusion - with three courses each, and you can either select a full menu for a slight discount or pick and choose dishes between the three. Some come in larger portions than others; I recommend two courses and dessert over all three unless you're extremely hungry. The exact dishes change regularly, but the format stays the same. The Rustic menu is traditional Italian: we tried the Ragù (pasta with tomato sauce, soy crumbles, and almond breadcrumbs) and the Sformatino (potato and zucchini sformato). The Seasonal menu is based around a current seasonal ingredient: at our visit it was strawberries, and our table's favorite dish was the pasta served with a strawberry and dried tomato pesto. Sounds a bit strange but it was delicious. Last is the Illusion menu: one item was a French toast sandwich, another was a seitan dish with roasted potatoes, similar to a meatloaf. The desserts were also very good: we tried a perfect Tiramisu and a blueberry tart. Overall it was an amazing meal, and I highly recommend making it a priority if you're in Livorno or anywhere nearby. Only one small issue: the service is slow because the staff is very small (there was only one waiter and one chef), but it's worth the wait.

What an outstanding dining experience!
Read moreWe arrived midweek without a booking, hoping for a free table, and were immediately welcomed in for one of the most memorable meals of our entire trip in Europe.
The space is homely and the service was first class. We had a choice of 3 different set menus: rustic, seasonal or "the different" for about €30 each.
They all sounded delicous and we opted to share a rustic, which flavours were very Tuscan, and a Seasonal which revolved around asparagus.
Every plate was a masterpiece: thoughtfully put together with interetsing flavours, textures and beautifully plated. The portions were also very generous so come hungry.
We cant wait to come back and see what's on the menu next time.
Pros: exceptional across the board
Cons: street parking - bit this has nothing to do with t

Great food! - Edit
The food was wonderful, very creative and different. I went with four non-vegans and they all were impressed (even my 84 year old Nonna who doesn’t know what a vegan is). Only down point is that our courses were not always brought at the same time. I’m sure this is down to limited staff.

This was my second time coming here, I came here a couple of years ago when I was a vegetarian and now recently becoming vegan, I think she appreciated it even more. The food is presented amazingly and taste so yum! The owner was really helpful and picked us a delicious wine. We wanted to get a dessert but had to leave in a hurry because we had a train to catch so he gave it to us to takeaway- lovely little touch. Definitely go here- it's so cute!

A happy oasis in Livorno - Edit
My brother lives in Livorno and last time I visited him we had lunch at the Casina di Alice. The place is lovely, and the staff is super-friendly: we met the owner, a couple who recently had a baby, Alice, and who are happily vegan and want to share their passion with the people of Livorno (they are not from Livorno, originally).
Read moreThe food was gorgeous, prepared with great care, and not only we ate what we ordered, but also they made us taste a chocolate cake that the cook was working on! We were talking about it and it seemed natural to them to share it with us.
We had a great time. Also, it is the only vegan (and therefore vegetarian) place in Livorno! Super-recommended!
Pros: Lovely food, Great location, Friendly staff
