One vegan option but sufficient - Edit
I was so glad to be able to get a vegan poutine from a popular poutine restaurant, I could try it with my non vegan boyfriend who obviously wanted to get the real "en grain" cheese. Well, that was really good ! Only surprise : we saw a lot of people in the restaurant with a big portion and though this was the large sized poutine... well, no, it was the small size, and we were quite overwhelmed when we saw our actual large sized poutine coming ! So, get the small portion people, it will most likely be more than enough

My favorite poutine - Edit
Worth the hype in my opinion! My friend said the vegan poutine was better than her cheese curds one!

Very crowded and ok poutine - Edit
If you want to get a taste of the famous Montreal’s poutine they offer a vegan option. The sauce was good but the fries were a bit oily and the vegan cheese was just not it (I have tasted many vegan cheese and this is not one I would recommend). We were two person sharing the medium size poutine and we had trouble finishing it (very greasy).
Read moreOverall, even though La Banquise is famous for their traditional poutine, I wouldn’t recommend their vegan option. Plus, you have to wait in line forever. It’s just not worth it.
Cons: Their vegan cheese is unapppetizing, You have to wait in line at least 20 mins, Very oily

Boff - Edit
Il y a un seul choix de poutine vegan et franchement le fauxmage laisse à désirer... le goût et la texture ne sont pas super...

Very good poutine - Edit
I'm from Europe and this was the first poutine I've ever had, I really liked it. I took the véganomane (vegan cheese and sauce). The cheese could be better but it was delicious anyways.

vegan poutine when its 3 am - Edit
I appreciate that such a big and well known place like Banquise finally offers vegan poutine but more options would be nice. Daiya cheese isn't the greatest so even when i order the vegan poutine I ask for no cheese at all.
Read moreLittle anecdote, I once stood behind a girl that ordered La Taquise (guac tomatoes and sour cream). She removed the normal cheese for vegan cheese and asked no sour cream but to replace with fried onions. Genius! I did the same and the waitress was like "wow la menute you can't change your whole order" and charged me extra for my vegan cheese and onions even though I removed the cheese curds and sour cream. Anywho, I thought that was pretty unfair but...u know at 3 am when nothing else is open, id go back if I was dying of hunger!
Pros: open 24h, tasty
Cons: not many options , unfair customer treatments , no parking dont even think about it

This is the place to have poutine at anytime of the day or night. Everyone will find something they like. The vegan poutine is very nice.
Read more***They really should stop using the Daiya cheese that is honestly disgusting. There are so many better mock cheese options nowadays.
Pros: price, options
Cons: using Daiya mock cheese...

Good vegan Poutine! - Edit
La Banquise is a very famous place in Montreal for its poutines and offers now a vegan one. The poutine I've had was good, had vegan cheese and was generous. It may not be the best I had but it's really decent. The place is often crowded and you may wait outside but if you want a poutine, it worth the wait. The staff is friendly.
