Good sushi, nice drinks, nice atmosphere - Edit
This is a very nice restaurant if you are looking for a more upscale dining experience. The food is rather expensive, though still a very good price for sushi. We had the sharing platter and one of the rice dishes which were both amazing. One thing I really liked is that the sushi was still rather traditional instead of the pink/blue etc way vegan sushi usually is. Additionally, they have a very nice selection of fermented tea drinks. Staff is also friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. I would stronlgy recommend skipping the deserts, however, they were super underwhelming and quite tasteless.

Great Food! - Edit
We really enjoyed our food, there was a wide selection. My friend had the creamy mushroom dish and really enjoyed it and my other friend had the black pepper tofu bowl. Service was great. We had the tiramisu for pudding, it was lovely! The best place we have been to!

Kitchen closes at 8pm - Edit
Good if you like eating dinner early… was really disappointing for us because we came across town and arrived at 8pm only to find that they flatly refused to take any food orders. Waste of time. Not sure we would want to eat dinner so early so maybe more of a lunch spot?

Sushi rolls with just the right amount of vinegar. - Edit
I think vinegar is important for sushi rice. Therefore, sushi rice with just the right amount of vinegar is essential for good sushi.

Soooo goood!!! - Edit
Never expected to find such amazing vegan Japanese food in KL. sushi is amazing. Loads of other options like rice, noodles, small plates/side dishes. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Please note it is (obviously) popular so book ahead or arrive just as they are opening. It’s fills fast.

The sushi is sooo good, the pieces are perfect bite size and are so delicious! The portions could be a bit bigger for the price but still totally worth it.

Great! - Edit
Was a solo traveller here in January and felt nice and easy enough to sit and eat by myself! Lovely food & customer service. Cheap! Would say the drinks were the only pricey thing, kombucha was lovely but overpriced for what you got😄

Wow - Edit
We loved our dining experience at kusa. It reminded me of some of my favorite vegan sushi/Japanese restaurants in the US. Loved tasting all the varieties of sushi and the ramen bowl was delicious. Desserts were tasty too, tiramisu especially (matcha cupcake was good but not incredible in my opinion). Will definitely come back when in KL. We called ahead to reserve a table on a weekend night with no problem…made it easy to sit right down to eat. (Would take or leave the drinks, would rather spend the money on tasting more food.)

Awesome vegan Japanese - Edit
This place is pretty cool. Located within an office building ground floor. Everytike I came here it was rammed. So make sure you reserve a table. The food was amazing really tasty and thought out well. The service was quick and with a smile. My only cons are the sushi dishes a kinda on the small side, and it's a bit more pricey than outside vendors. But it's defo earth a visit here!

Good but expensive - Edit
The food and the area looks fancy. It was good but to be honest I think I read so many good comments and the pictures looks so good that I expect it would be better in terms of taste. So it's good yes, if you want to have a nice and fancy restaurant it's the right place. But it is not the best food I had in KL and it is too expensive.

Pricey food in nice atmosphere - Edit
The place has a nice and higher class vibe. Food looks extremely delicious but is not special at all. We had a ramen soup and ramen noodles which were not bad but mostly spicy (although we only ordered level 2 of 5 and we like to eat bit spicy). Especially the soup did not have the typical thick and savoury texture which was bit disappointing.
Read morePrices are quite high for the pretty small portions. But the speed of the food was incredible, even for Ramen. Within 3 minutes we had everything on the table.
I liked the Kombucha, for my wife it was bit too sweet (what is indeed right).
All in all a can-visit as everything is vegan and clean. But no must-have.
