Vegan restaurant and bar with two concepts, the ground floor restaurant is an "anti-pasti bar" where they serve small dishes for shared dining. The downstairs restaurant is called "restaurant", there you have to choose between a five or seven course dinner. Both restaurants share the same kitchen/chef, with dishes inspired by Italian cuisine. Everything is made in-house such as breads, dips, snacks, pastas, desserts and more. Splendid experience in their antipasti bar. Friendly staff and a delicious sharing menu. We went for an assortment of sides and starters which I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend the sides (menu is changing with the season) but we had delicious Spitskol and roasted pumpkin with vegan whipped ricotta.
Almost everything is made in house or locally sourced (including the homemade kombuchas).

Service is impeccable and you can feel that it is a great team behind these little creations of culinary art.
With the two concepts at the moment you can choose for a antipasta tasting experience by picking the antipasti of your choice to share. Or just devour them by yourself ;)
Or go all the way for the more expensive, elaborate 5-7 course diner and enjoy a romantic night out that will blow away your senses.

Read moreThis may be one of my favourite restaurants ever. Dish after dish I savoured every bite, the staff was friendly and informative but not overly so. The atmosphere was nice and I like that they use a lot of locally sourced food.
Newer review for the 7-course dinner:
I had a lovely time with the wait staff checking on us often and treating us well. We had all 7 courses since we really didn't want to miss out and that is definitely worth it. The wine pairings matched up really well with the flavour of the food but for me not with the amount and I was tipsy by the end of it. Next time I'll try the alcohol-free pairings. If I had to pick a favourite it would be the seitan appetizer.

Really enjoyed the second time here as well. We now had the wine pairing, which included a very nice selection of wines. Additionally, the 5 course menu included enough body to provide a satisfied feeling, which is not always the case with vegan restaurants. Really amazing, must visit!

Whenever we have something to celebrate, we do it at Konijnenvoer as it is one of the best vegan places in the Netherlands. I love coming here and taste the incredible Italian food, be welcomed by the great staff and have a laugh with the owner. Recently they changed their formula with a fancy restaurant in the vault below the building and the Antipasti bar at street level. Can't wait to visit both as they never fail to exceed my expectations!

Gereserveerd bij de Trattoria. Bij aankomst bijzonder onvriendelijk te woord gestaan en op het terras geplaatst. Vervolgens gelukkig voornamelijk geserveerd door een wel zeer vriendelijke en servicegerichte collega. De plank met mezzes had enkele lekkere verrassingen en ook wat te zoute en vettige onderdelen. Bij het hoofdgerecht eveneens 1 zeer smakelijk en de ander veel te zout. Met de feedback werd helaas niets gedaan. Tot slot werden we ook niet meer geholpen: de vriendelijke serveerster was helaas al vertrokken.
