Very funny, healthy, goo Vietnamese Buffet today. - Edit
Clean good. Tasty and cheap. I am not sure about the menu, but I guess changes every day. Is very simple Thai style, you can seat on Asian tipe on the floor or on chairs and table. Have fans. At the main road. Have easy to parking.

What a lovely and kind place - Edit
UPDATE FEB '22: Reach in Rawai is closed and Tan&Meng have returned to their original location on Soi Tai-ed. Tan and Meng lost their business in the South because they decided to pack up, leave Phuket and head to Bangkok to feed the hungry - just one of the many honourable sacrifices they have made to help those in need. I couldn't be more proud of these two angels! They serve the best-homecooked food I have ever had in my life, hands down my favourite!
Read moreUPDATE: This restaurant has moved to Soi Taied last month. There are several new dishes that are not on the menu yet. If you want to try the best curry you'll ever have in your life, then go for the pumpkin curry. If it doesn't blow your mind, it will definitely blow your taste buds. The aubergine curry is superb as well and the burger has a new recipe (it's even better than it already was!). You should really go on Sundays as they have an all-you-can-eat buffet for only 200B. My favourite buffets are Mexican and Vietnamese, the latter being a lot of fun as you get to roll your own fresh rice paper springrolls. I know in my heart that I will never ever eat at a better restaurant than this one. It's a blessing but also painful as I know that one day, I will have to leave Phuket. Hopefully I will win the lottery by then and hire Khun Tan as my private chef (so you better get there now before you miss the chance, haha!).

This restaurant is brand new and already one of my favourites. The owner is a heartwarming lady who opened her restaurant to give ex-convicts a second change at life by teaching them how to cook Jay (vegan) food and run a business. The food is great and for even greater prices. Apart from the food, she sells self made tempeh and avocados from Chiang Mai. For those who live on the island, avocados are quite hard to get and places like Makro sell inedible ones. Luckily you can get them here for 150B per kilo. Me and my partner were treated like family when we ate here and truly enjoyed our experience at Kon Cook. 100% recommended

Favourite restaurant in Phuket - Edit
Since covid they are just serving wraps and smoothies... they have a good selection of different flavours, Mexican, humus, Tom yam, Bolognese...
Read moreWraps, tempeh, humus, sauces etc are all home made with love on the premises. Salad is always fresh. Food is consistently delicious and of a very high standard.
They use minimal oil, salt and chilli in their food but they can always add extra salt and chilli if you request.
The owner Tan is a wonderful person as is her husband Meng. The concept here is that Tan provides opportunities for ex prisoners to receive training and do something positive after prison. She and Meng write hundreds of letters to prisoners in Thailand every week and they also visit them whenever they are able. They also support local people and charities. During covid lockdown every day they were feeding upwards of 1000 people who were left without work, money and food for around 2 months. They were operating out of their own pockets and relying on donations and help from volunteers.
Eventually hopefully they will get back to their full menu which included the most amazing green curry and pumpkin curry, burgers, Vietnamese spring rolls, pad Thai and papaya salad. They also used to do an all you can eat buffet each Sunday, alternating between Mexican, Vietnamese, thai, Korean with plans to so others before covid brought the world to a stop.
Pros: Best food in Phuket, Good portion, Cheap
Cons: There isn't a Koncook in every town in the world

Best vegan food in Phuket - Edit
We had to come back multiple times because the food was so delicious. The owner was so nice and passionate about what she does too. What I enjoyed is that she uses good quality ingredients and cooks in a way I enjoy with minimal oil. It also happened to taste the best of all the vegan spots we tried in our 6 days in Phuket. Thanks for everything Tan. Highly recommended

You must visit this place! - Edit
I fell in love with this charming cafe and its lovely staff from the first visit. They are fully consistent with the concept of veganism, not only in food, but also working with various social programs. My husband and I tried almost the entire menu and each position was very tasty and super fresh. We were struck by rather low prices for such a good and wholesome meal. It is also a tempeh provider for the island's pathos and expensive vegan cafes. Every day I come here with a smile and leave with an even bigger smile, saturated with great food and great gratitude for communicating with kind people. Come here for a serving of fresh tempeh, a delicious burger or salad in a banana petal and thereby support the work of these good people.

Exellent kitchen - Edit
The owner was very friendly and served the food personally. It became our new favourite vegan restaurant! On Sunday they have a little buffet with local herbs and tempe (it's fermented soya: very good). The owner also helped us with other questions. I can very much recommend you to stop by and have a look. It's really worth it!

Epic little find :) - Edit
Kept riding past this place as it is so unassuming from the exterior, although there is a big เจ and Vegan sign by the road.
Read moreFood was excellent and very fresh. The soup on offer this evening in particular was first class!
An all you eat buffet which I guess changes each day. Tonight's was put your own rice paper rolls together, which was awesome fun tbh. Really fresh ingredients (possibly even organic). There was a hot pancake also served up with fresh beansprouts and all sorts inside.
Tham (I think), the hostess does also like to make sure you eat and don't hold back haha.
A great little find and about 500m from where I live.
One thing to note though is that they're open from 4pm to 9pm.
150 baht to fill yer boots!
Pros: All Vegan

Since seeing the big ‘vegan tempeh’ sign out front of Kon Cook and trying it for the first time I am absolutely in love! The food is delicious, cheap, full of flavor and so clean: only coconut and olive oil are used and there is a focus on local natural ingredients and no MSG!
Read moreThe owner Tan is an absolute delight, you can taste the love and passion that she cooks with in every bite!
The tempeh made in house is the best I have ever tasted with an amazing texture and flavor. I’ve even been buying blocks to take home and cook for only 80 baht!
I couldn’t recommend Kon Cook more highly and am so happy that it has opened up here in Phuket!
