Tasty and filling! - Edit
LWow, I really enjoyed coming here, so much so that I came twice in the same day haha.
Read moreI think that the only downside is that the price isn't the cheapest, so it's best to come with a group and share bits and pieces in order to try everything. I tried the mixed sandwich plate, one of the burgers, the tofu (the three sauces/seasonings were very good!), the pancakes with fruit (so nice to have fluffy Japanese-style pancakes that are vegan!) and the "Shiro noir" (a fabulous pastry served with ice cream on top). AND I loved both the hot cocoa and iced one! They were sweet and they had cream and just mmmm...
If I wasn't leaving the country tomorrow, I'd come back haha. Lots of choice, and everything is tasty.

Vegan Cafe in Ginza - Edit
I have been to this cafe multiple times. I sometimes go there to eat breakfast. They have a morning set, which includes a soft buttered bread, soup or spread, and coffee/tea of your choice. Their bread (i.e. shokupan) is really soft. Shokupan is a common white bread in Japan and it’s usually not vegan. It is difficult to find a vegan version of this bread, so I’m really glad that Komeda is has this bread. You can also order a whole loaf of shokupan for ¥350.
Read moreMy favorite dish is their burger steak. It was so juicy! I think even non-vegans will like it. My partner likes their ham sandwich (hamu katsu sando). I also recommend their sweet and sour soy meat; the only thing lacking from it was rice.
They have some alcoholic beverages like beer and wine, but I’ve only tried their fruit cocktail, which was good.
The service was also quite good! And the place was really cozy.
As for the location, it is near the station so it’s not difficult to find.

Komeda's vegan Restaurant - Edit
Komeda is a beloved coffee chain in Japan, a so called 'Kissaten' (Retro Café that serves savory and sweet classics).
Read moreThis place is a fully plant-based version of Komeda with all of the variety.
I had the Tartar Wasabi Burger which was like a vegan fish burger. Really liked the tartar sauce!
Coffee jelly that is a typical kissaten dessert is also my recommendation here.
I also had the tomato berry smoothie that was sweeter than I expected but very recommended.
Definitely coming back to try more.

Amazing Vegan Options - Edit
If you’re in Ginza, you have to try this place! Great vegan versions of popular Japanese food. We had banana milk, coffee, fries with fried tofu, “Pork” Katsu sandwich, and the strawberry whipped cream sandwich. You seat yourself & order via the screen at your table. Gorgeous interior too, faux trees & green velvet seats. Located on the first level inside a larger building. Staff speaks some English as well!

Open early! - Edit
I went here’s twice for breakfast because it’s one of the only vegan places open early. The food quality is really good and I liked that I could order from a tablet without the pressure from the waitstaff. Also took my non vegan sisters here and they really enjoyed it - said their japanese style bread is the best they’ve had! Super close to the Higashi-Ginza station (I used the Hibiya line)
Read moreThings I tried:
- iced cocoa (note drinks come with a side of toast, make sure to order a condiment for the bread): 5 stars
- corn soup: 5 stars
- pastry with soft serve: 4 stars
- soy cutlet sandwich: 3.5 stars
- tofu fritters: 4.5 stars
- strawberry sandwich: 3.5 stars
- pancakes: 3 stars
I’d recommend everything except the pancakes, it was a little too dense and not fluffy as described.
Pros: Great food quality , Close to a station, Friendly staff
Cons: None

happy with a vegan version of their speciality Shiro Noir - Edit
It is so great that a vegan version of Komeda's speciality Shiro Noir - danish topped with soft ice cream and syrup (880 yen) - is available anytime now
Read moreIf you order coffee (650 yen), you can choose "soy cream" "plain soy milk" or "without"
It's a work-friendly cafe with free wi-fi and power sockets, so it should also be a good place for tourists in the Ginza/Tsukiji area to rest their feet and charge their phones

Excellent Menu - Edit
This is a great place to go to if you want to have vegan versions of Japanese cafe food. Long opening hours, extensive menu options for both food and drinks, and everything is really delicious. You order electronically and can easily make customizations. I have tried almost everything on the menu, and I have not been disappointed by a single dish. The drinks are a little pricy, but still very delicious.

Delicious, nice atmosphere - Edit
I’ll definitely return here for the cozy vibes and great food. I had a green smoothie and the wasabi tartar chickn burger with fries. All cooked perfectly. I only regret not getting iced cocoa because I saw it arrive at the table next to me and it looked so good. But, as I said, I’ll be back, so I’ll get it next time! Order on the tablet at your table and have a nice meal!

Interesting concept and pretty place, but expensive - Edit
Regular Komeda's Coffee is a bit pricey compared to other chains as well, so I guess it could have been taken for granted.
Read moreNot many low-carb/tofu options, but I guess people who actively try to avoid soy will appreciate that. I was suprised that the ice cream is made from almond, and it's actually very creamy.
My macros were super tight this day, so I only had the (beautiful!) grain salad without dressing, but I'd like to go back soon to try one of the burgers.
One of the ladies told me off because I tried to move the plastic screen to one side of the table (no space for the dishes) 😭
Pros: Cool to try vegan options of Komeda's dishes, Pretty and very green
Cons: Expensive, Tiny table, Not many healthy options

My favorite are the vegan ham cutlets and vegan hamburger avocado. The oat milk coffe with cream is really good but expensive! I wish they can open in the future in Ikebukuro o shibuya because the position is not really good ://
