Great vegan Ramen directly in the station - Edit
One floor below the shinkansen gates. Have a close look on the floor map because it can be confusing (numbers are used more than once in different colours). Ordering is done via tablet. Has an English menu, but the buttons to navigate the menu are not translated. We got a bit help from a very helpful staff member to place the order. For a place directly inside the station surprisingly great!

Amazing ramen - Edit
I’m generally not a fan of vegan tonkatsu ramen but I have this one a try and it was one of the best ramens I’ve had. Must try. I also had the vegan gyoza and they were very good too.

Honest opinion not my favourite but convenient - Edit
I ordered the gyozas and the tonkotsu ramen. I liked the gyozas but the ramen I didn’t like the flavour was a bit strange. And some black seasonings that I couldn’t figure out what it was made it look like mold and it freaked me out(maybe it just wasn’t for my taste buds) also thought it had to much oil and the noodles were to thick for my liking (it looked like spaghetti 🤔). Maybe next time I will try the miso ramen instead. Overall it was ok it was fast and convenient. I would try it if you are at the station. but I wouldn’t go all the way there just to try it since I have had better vegan ramen

Great ramen - Edit
Easy enough to find. Just head for the Central Exit from the shinkansen gates. When you get to the actual exit (leaving the building - one level down from the station gates, but one level up from the street) head in to the Arde plaza and go straight to the far end, then turn left. It's Shop 7 on the maps.
Read moreI got a bowl of ramen and a serve of gyoza. I wouldn't bother ordering the gyoza again, they were a bit bland, but the ramen was great and I'll probably return for another bowl before I leave Osaka!

Definitely open and worth a visit! - Edit
Best vegan option at Shin-Osaka Station as far as I know (two visits so far). It is located on the second floor (2F) in the 'arde' shopping area. One level under the floor were you leave the JR/shinkansen area. It is not located between the gates so you do not need a ticket to come here.
Read moreVery authentic place with friendly staff and allthough they are not completely vegan they put a lot of effort in making vegans happy and discover some great ramen. You can order digitally via tablet were you can set the language to english. You will find the vegan stuff in an extra menu point where you can find that everything is plant-based and they try avoiding cross contamination. You can even have your food on extra disposable tableware if you are afraid.
They offer tonkotsu style ramen, miso ramen and side dishes like vegetable gyoza. I chose the tonkotsu style ramen a bit spicier (you can set a level for your self) and vegan gyoza. Everything tasted super yummy especially the ramen and the faux meat.
Clear recommendation for a great and filling meal at Shin Osaka Station!
Pros: Friendly staff., Clear labeled vegan options., Card payment.

This ramen shop closed and the new shop there does have no vegan options at all. Even the green onion ramen are with pork and chicken broth

Are you sure, you were at the correct place? There are at least 3 Ramen restaurants on the floor and the floor map is pretty confusing. We ended up at the wrong place at first as well and found the place after checking the floor map again.

Vegan ramen - Edit
The restaurant is located on the second floor of the arde shopping center at the Shin-Osaka station, one floor below ground level. It is accessible without going through the ticket gates, we took the escalator down at the entrance of the station.
Read moreThey have a few vegan ramen options and more are coming. You order from a tablet at your table. The ramen was reasonably priced and tasted good. Would visit again if I was looking for food at the station.
Pros: A couple of vegan options, On the cheaper side
Cons: Hard to find

A mystery: The restaurant is not listed on the station map and we couldn’t find it on October 10, 2024. Google has a note that it’s permanently closed. I bought a soy garden burger from Freshburger instead. Not many veggie/vegan options at Shin Osaka station

We found it today and it's definitely still open as of 13 Oct 2024. It's on the '2F' floor in the 'Arde!' food area. To get here, take the escalator downstairs following signs for 'Central Exit'. Turn left at the bottom of the escalator then left again once in the food area. It can be confusing to find, as this is a below ground floor, even though it is labeled as 'second floor'.

Tasty, quick easy vegan ramen - Edit
Went twice, it was just so easy and tasty! The first time I did a takeaway away as suggested in another review and definitely recommend if you're staying close, I enjoyed it in my hotel room and it travelled really well! Second time I sat in which was also my first experience of ordering through the screen and it was nice and easy, it takes a little longer for the vegan ramen to come out but totally worth it. The ramen is nice, I'd recommend adding an additional slice of their seitan type meat, and the vegan gyozas are amazing! It's on the second floor so you need to go down one if you are on the third floor for the bullet trains!

we had the vegan tonkotsu ramen & the vegan miso ramen. they were so delicious! we took them for takeaway, because we had had a long day & our apartment is near the station - they were packed very well & secure. the noodles were seperate from the broth, so you can add them in once you‘re ready to eat. GOD, it was so good. honestly one of the best ramens i have ever had.

The Miso Ramen was thicker than the Tonkotsu but they both had lovely thick, chewy noodles.

Great Choice - Edit
We’ve gone twice, and tried the miso and pika ramen. The miso is thick, rich and has a strong tahini flavour. The pika is lighter and made with soy milk. Both are delicious. The char sui is yummy. I recommend getting 3 pieces. Level 3 spicy isn’t very spicy.

We didn’t have to wait on arrival and it has a few things soon to be added. I got the non spicy one. The soy meat was pretty good for Japan but only one bit which was a shame. Creamy broth with a hint of sesame. One of the nicest I’ve had so far. Reasonable price considering the location. The tablets ordered on have English

Yummy but bad service - Edit
The food was pretty good. They just had vegan tonkatsu and vegan miso ramen available at the moment. Gyoza and other dishes are coming soon.
Read moreI had the tonkatsu ramen and it was pretty good. The broth was really nice and the noodles were a little thick. The vegan tonkatsu kind of just tasted like cooked vegan ham and they only give you one thin slice. The ramen cost 1,580 yen which was a bit more expensive than the non vegan options.
The service wasn’t very good. The server was short with us and sat 3 of us on a table with a divider in the middle which was annoying because normal tables were free.
Pros: Filling and yummy, Order off tablet
Cons: Hard to read menu, Bad service
