Tofu nuggets are a must try - Edit
This was one of the only vegan restaurants open over the holiday weekend last week. A friend and I visited twice. There were queues and a waitlist however may be due to being the only place open. Enjoyed wraps, nachos and the tofu nuggets. Would definitely return if in Porto again.

Great comfort food with a lot of options - Edit
If you're after some good comfort food this is the place to go. The shrimp tacos and vegan nuggets to start were great - texture of the breading and the flavour all great!
Read moreWe then had the burrito and the yellow Thai curry - both equally great and filling. Good portion sizes and slightly more expensive than other vegan restaurants in Porto but still a great deal (especially compared to London prices!).
We got lucky and there was a table ready when we arrived but it was very busy!
Ps. Huge tasty cookie for dessert is the way to go!
Pros: Good choice, Tasty food, Great environment
Cons: Slightly expensive

Best vegan Restaurant in Porto - Edit
The restaurant has really kind and also young staff. Unfortunately we had to wait 15-20min for a table. But it was totally worth it! The dishes are amazing! My boyfriend and I had the wrap and the loaded nachos. These were the best ones I had so far! It is a completely vegan friendly restaurant and also a must have for non vegans.

Vegan Francesinha - Edit
I had the tuna melt and it was quite delicious, though not really a melt. If you're curious about the Porto delicacy, try the vegan version here. You might have to wait a bit for a table if you're a larger party (3 ). Nice atmosphere.

Comfort food - Edit
First day in Porto and this place was high on the HappyCow list so we went with it.
Read moreNo reservations. Just walk in.
Located in an old building the menu matches the restaurant’s design. Comfortable, simple, and nice. Flavors of Mexican, Middle East, and Asian but the basics.
We started with their guacamole and pico de gallo with chips and a bottle of white local wine. Small portions made it a perfect start.
I went with the Falafel wrap, which was perfect. The falafel itself wasn’t dry and the hummus went well with it.
My husband went with a Thai Bowl that had a nice mix of ingredients, which satisfied him.
Birthday dinner for me, so I settled on a cookie and asked if I could have their ice cream on the side. The waitress obliged. 😊
Pros: Simple menu, Good food , Comfortable space
Cons: Maybe another waitperson?

An kind and delicious place - Edit
I came here a few months ago for lunch, and had an overall great experience!
Read moreThe service was great and they are welcoming to all (including pets, which are welcome inside as well) We got a table outside in the sun, and ordered the tofu nuggets to start, followed by the seitan schnitzel burger and the beyond burger. Everything was great and the atmosphere there is truly warm and kind, as the name suggest.
Only con for us was a bit of a language barrier, as they didn't speak much English, but we managed anyway😊

The best brownie ever?? - Edit
Kind Kitchen is very cheap for a all vegan and health oriented restaurant. The food was good, nothing crazy but it is definitely satisfying. Now what was the REAL deal is the brownie! Its huge and filled with moist and delicious peanut butter and chocolate pieces that are still melting. Its fresh from the oven and literally the best brownie I have ever had!!!!

Great place to try a vegan Francesinha. - Edit
The Francesinha is a traditional Portuguese sandwich that originates from Porto. It is traditionally quite meaty so this is a great place to try the vegan kind. I also tried the Tuna melt and that was lovely! This place is a must try. Lots of great options.

A little disappointing - Edit
We had high hopes for Kind Kitchen but were a little disappointed with our experience, unfortunately.
Read moreWe ordered two toasted sandwiches and a portion of potato wedges. The sandwiches were technically “toasted” in that the bread had been lightly grilled on one side, but they weren’t the typical hot, panini-style one would expect when ordering a Toasted sandwich.
The flavours were actually very satisfying, the mozzarella on the Caprese was a good substitute, as was the pesto drizzle, and the Tuna melt again replicated the flavours well, but neither sandwich was particularly loaded with filling, so there ended up being far more bread than anything else, and were cold by the time they arrived at our table.
The Potato wedges never showed up, even when I reminded the waitress about them. Mistakes happen and I wouldn’t mind, except that it wasn’t at all that busy: there were three tables seated at the time (including ours). They then tried to charge us for the wedges we never received, until I had to query it and explain we never got them. This was then questioned, and its only when I further reiterated that we didn’t get the wedges that they were removed off the bill.
Overall we left hungry and a little dissatisfied.
Pros: Good flavours
Cons: Not good portions, Inattentive service
