Highly, highly recommend!

Apart from the friendliest staff, this place boasts a great menu and a lovely atmosphere. It's mine and my husband's favourite restaurant in North London and we are lucky enough to live just around the corner. We own another local vegan restaurant on the same road but do not hesitate to talk about Keren View. Please, please, please support this amazing small mother-daughter run business. While you're there, you might be lucky enough to have a cup of tea with the owner and learn about Eritrean culture. Honestly, Keren View is North London's hidden gem.

I recommend their hummus and salad, injera (if you need another portion to finish your meal, I believe it is free), Brsa, Hamli, Atter, and my favourite, Ades. I must admit that these are the only dishes I have tried. For dessert, I recommend the dates with a cup of Camomile Tea or their sorbet. Sometimes they have different cakes available too which have always been delicious.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Pros: Excellent food., Great value., Friendly staff.

Local gem

Where to begin, the food was fantastic, the lady who served us was so friendly, wish I had stopped by sooner as I have passed by so many times.
Very reasonably priced too, we will be back.

Pros: Delicious food , Friendly staff

Cons: My only gripe was no high chairs

Super friendly restaurant doing all vegan Eritrean food

I visited Keren View twice in December 2019. The service is examplery, both times we got extra freebies in order to try somethin else we hadn't ordered! The food is classic Eritrean (like Ethiopean but with rice options!?) with Injera soda bread at its heart. Then you choose from a variety of veg, bean and lentil dishes. Beware some of the veg dishes are very spicey.

Pros: Very friendly service, Some rather spicey options, Inexpensive

Cons: Some rather spicey options

Absolutely delicious

A great experience with cuisine not typically associated with veganism. Delicious food, diverse menu and extremely friendly staff.
We had the menu for two people where we got to sample three dishes. All were great!

Pros: Unique flavors, Good portions, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Not the quickest service

Keren View

We were heading to another restaurant when we saw "VEGAN" in the window of Keren View... So we decided to eat here instead. It was the best decision of our trip so far. The food was phenomenal and was just the perfect amount- We got three lentil dishes (the spicy one, number 5 I think, was the best!) and injera bread. The injera was very light and delicious and didn't weight me down like it usually does. I liked the lentil dishes so much, too! We ended with the chocolate dessert which was like a chocolate pudding. It was out of this world. I wish I could give this place 100 stars, it was really that phenomenal!

Delicious, reasonably priced food

Hard to come across this in London! Tasty food that doesn't cost the earth. Owner very friendly and explained everything to us. No side dishes as mains are big enough. Highly recommended.

Pros: All vegan, Friendly, Delicious

Delicious, filling and really reasonably priced. Great location near the tube.

Delicious vegan food with plenty of choice. We opted for rice, pitta bread and injera to go with our meal.

Friendly service and reasonably priced.

They serve tasty Eritrean beer which is imported.

We’ll definitely come back.

Pros: Lots of choices and very reasonably priced , Located close to tube, Friendly service

Very nice restaurant serving Eritrean food. Best to go in a group

The pictures on HappyCow were a bit misleading. And this is not a buffet restaurant.

There are a choice of main dishes, some mild, some spicy, from £7.50 each. If you want a combination of three dishes it's £12.50 per person , or if there are two of you you can choose the Eritrean Combo for £18.50 which is what me and my partner chose. (see menu). Despite choosing the mild dishes the food was tasty. We chose to have injera bread with our meal, which was very nice.
I haven't had Eritrean food before but I understand that the food is similar to Ethiopian.
Would have been nice to have has more dishes to sample, which is why I suggest you go in a group.
The lady who served us was very friendly and gave us some complimentary dates after our meal.

A gem!

What a great place! The owner is incredibly nice, friendly and generous. The food is excellent: very tasty, heathy, piping hot, with delicious injera. If unfamiliar with Ethiopian cuisine you can do a sample plate. Lovely ambiance and great value for money. Would definitely come back.

Cons: cash only

Definitely worth a visit!

A friend and I and my baby girl tried Keren view at lunchtime finally and already have a plan to go back. The owner is very friendly and the food is delicious. I hadn't thought of it before but the cuisine is very baby friendly. She loved it.

Pros: Very tasty, Kid friendly, good value

Cons: Right on a busy intersection

Really lovely vegan food in a super friendly restaurant

I've never had Eritrean food before. Think Ethiopian, but with rice as well if you want it. I couldn't choose as it all looked lovely, so shared 6 dishes with my friend. It came served on the injera, and was really delicious. I know this place is a little out of the way, but it's well worth a visit (and only a 10 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station).

Pros: Lovely authentic Eritrean food, Good portion sizes, excellent value, Really friendly vibe

Cons: When they're busy service can be a little slow

Low key - Delicious food

Unassuming, recently turned vegan Eritrean restaurant. Really delicious 👌. Eritrean food very similar to Ethiopian, served on bread that you use to eat it with, or on rice. Very friendly staff.

Pros: All vegan
