Delicious food, really fun place - Edit
The all vegan menu has alot of options and they all taste great!! The restaurant is very spacious and clean. I like that they serve pea-spread because they choose not to serve avocado! The cats are fun to watch but if you’re not a cat lover you can easily enjoy a meal without interacting with them.

I’ve been to the KatzenTemple in Munich, and so I was delighted to find there was one in Hamburg! The restaurant is spacious, and the food is delicious. I’m a vegan who loves cats, so having both under one roof is great. The menu consists of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and bowls, mostly. The portions are good, and the food delicious. And the desserts are excellent, too. And, of course, there are the cats, who are clearly loved and well cared for. Great place to grab a meal and catch up with cool cats.

Went for brunch + cake. Had the Croissandwich Frühstück which was really good. Croissand with 'lox' was very good, as was scrambled tofu (there was something bacon-y in there which I quite liked, added a bit of texture and some smoke flavour). Even the side salad had lots of flavour.

For the cakes, the Tiramizu was really good, very rich, the snickers cake was a bit too rich for me, the mohn"cheese" cake is not really a cheesecake but was still fantastic.
The cats were cute too.

The place is big and there is plenty of space for the cats to play, run, sleep and retreat.
The staff was super friendly and happy to customise the food orders.
The location is great in the beautiful Speicherstadt with bridges and canals and amazing Hanseatic architecture.

Die Katzen sind sehr ruhig und einige kommen von selbst auf einen zu und lassen sich streicheln.
Very nice and cozy. The food is delicious. It doesn't smell unpleasant. The food is a bit overpriced, but you're not only paying for the food, you're also paying for the cats.
The cats are very calm and some of them come up to you and let you pet them.

Das Café war gut besucht an dem Tag, trotzdem war es sehr gemütlich und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Ich habe den Kinder-Pingui-Kuchen (vegan), wahnsinnig lecker!! Die Auswahl an Kuchen war durch den großen Andrang leider etwas geschrumpft, ich hätte am liebsten alles durchprobiert. Die Katzen haben sich auch sichtlich wohlgefühlt.

Fine place which seems a great spot for the cats, enough places to roam, hide and relax, but the cats were quite out and about looking out all the windows so we could enjoy them too😄We tried the brunch for two, which was nice! Only the signature "tempel bread" was quite disappointing, bit dry and bland. The toppings, croissant and cakes were great though! And so were the passion fruit juice and chai latte (very kardamome-y)And it was an all vegan establishment :)

Delicious food and cute cats - Edit
To be honest, we did not see much of the cats during our visit. The restaurant was packed and only two cats showed up, one who was sleeping all the time and another one who strolled through the restaurant for a short while. However, I do love the concept that the cats have lots of hiding places and options to withdraw and only visit the customers if they feel like it.

Well, even if we didn‘t see a lot of cats, it was worth coming here for the food. It was simply delicious. My husband had a burger, my cousin had a vegan pulled pork sandwich, and I had a pumpkin & seitan sandwich. There was a seasonal menu and we mostly chose meals from that one. Everything tasted so well!

Katzen und leckeres Essen - Edit
Die Katzen sorgen immer dafür, dass etwas zu Schauen ist. Leider reagieren sie auf den Menschen gar nicht und konnten deswegen von uns nicht gestreichelt werden. Essen war super, große Auswahl, am Morgen 10:15 Uhr war noch nicht viel los, sodass das Essen schnell kam. Personal ist freundlich, momentan werden Neue eingearbeitet.

The cats have quite some space to climp at the walls over the guests‘ heads but a lot of them were running around between the tables.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die kleinen Pfoten-Details auf den Teller ist auch sehr niedlich. Vom Preis ist es etwas teurer 19,- Burger und Pommes. Die Sitzgelegenheiten könnten auch etwas bequemer sein. Wir haben eine halbe Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Wir waren in einer Zeit da, als es sehr voll war.

Was für ein toller Ort! Wünschten uns, sowas würde es in der Schweiz auch geben😄Wir waren zum Abendessen im Katzentempel und haben je eine Bowl gegessen, welche sehr lecker, frisch, ausgewogen und natürlich vegan war. Das Ambiente war toll und wir erlebten einen stets respektvollen Umgang mit den Katzen - sowohl durchs Persoal als auch durch die anderen anwesenden Gäste.

Read moreDas Essen war echt super lecker und dabei konnten wir die süßen Katzen beobachten. Würde mir nur wünschen, dass sich alle Gäste an die Regeln halten (die einem bei Eintritt extra gezeigt werden) und die Katzen einfach in Ruhe lassen und nur streicheln wenn diese von alleine kommen.
Pros: Tolle Auswahl an Gerichten zu fairen Preisen, Komplett vegan, Frühstück den ganzen Tag
Cons: Immer voll, Man muss etwas länger auf Essen warten
