Ein sympathischer Ort - Edit
Mir hat das Restaurant gut gefallen. Es gab keine Plätze draussen, weil das Wetter schön war. Das Innere des Restaurants ist auch nett! Die Speisekarte für Veganer, um die Auswahl zu erleichtern. Ich hatte einen Salat mit Rohkost (nicht nur...es gab drinnen etwas so wie Kartoffel salat) und Pfifferlingen. Sehr lecker und völlig korrekte Portion. Es war ausreichend :-)

Leckere Fettuccine - Edit
Gemütliches Restaurant mit separater veganer Karte und spannenden Getränken. Der Laden ist gut besucht, wir kamen gegen 21:00 Uhr und mussten trotzdem etwas auf einen Platz im schönen Außenbereich warten. Ich hatte die Fettuccine mit Pfifferlingen - sehr zu empfehlen!

Eigene vegane Speisekarte - Edit
Es gab viele verschiedene vegane Gerichte zur Auswahl in einer eigenen Speisekarte. Wir haben uns dann für die Spargelbowl mit Kartoffelecken und einer hausgemachten Cashew-Hollondaise entschieden und der Chili sin Carne. Beides sehr lecker! Wir waren auch sehr begeistert von den Salaten und der leckeren Sauce!

We spent a really nice time there and i liked the food and friendly service. Also the separate vegan menu in internet and in the restaurant. I was lucky not beeing hungry, otherwise i had to order a second dish. And for my maincourse with some vegetables, sweetpotato and dip i payed 17 Euros....

Offers Many vegan options. Good Alternative if you are out with „omnivores“. Very friendly and fast service. I had a delicious Summer Bowl (Quinoa tabouleh, water melon, lentils, wild herb salad, carrot), sitting in their garden. The silken tofu lemon dip did not convince me.

The atmosphere is like German traditional kitchen, so normally you would not expect any vegan plates. Instead they have a big variety and even delicious vegan desserts. From the online menu you can better see if it’s vegan or not but you can also ask of course.

Wanted to give this five stars, but apparently that’s not possible because the restaurant also serves non-vegetarian dishes.
Read moreAnyways, the food I had was definitely worth five stars! I started with sweet potatoes with a creamy dip made of silk tofu and other yummy flavourful things. After I had an amazing mushroom rösti from the summer menu, again with a lovely dip. My friend and I shared our desserts: warm brownie with sour cherry sorbet and a coconut based crème brûlée. My non-vegan friend loved them and said they tasted just as good.
There is also a wide variety of home made lemonades and cocktails. Staff is super friendly and speaks English.
All in all a good experience. I was very happy to be able to try local food as this is often not possible as a vegan. Highly recommended if you’re looking for some German food!

We had a lovely evening in this restaurant, sitting outside in their "Kartoffelgarten". There are several vegan options, mostly potato-based.

I enjoyed my meal a lot, although I must say that it was not very filling and for the price I had expected a larger portion and more sweet potato. My husband had the roast potatoes with nuts and the same dip, and he liked it a lot, although the meal was a bit small, too.
Our highlight was the vegan crème brûlée that we had for dessert.
The staff were very friendly, and as I said above, the outdoor seating is very pleasant.
Pros: Delicious food, Beautiful outdoor seating, Unusual vegan food
Cons: A bit expenive, Portions are a bit smallish

Es gab eine extra vegane Karte mit toller und kreativer Auswahl, allerdings waren die Portionen sehr klein, satt hat es nicht wirklich gemacht. Gab dann aber bei Nachfrage einen Nachschlag, was uns echt begeistert hat:)

Potato heaven or hell? - Edit
For somewhere that’s based entirely around the potato I was a little disappointed that my rosti had a slight burnt taste to it. Not enough to complain and send it back but enough to spoil the flavour. The mountain cheese dominated the taste of the dish and I had to play hunt the mushroom. My youngest daughter opted for a baked potato with cheese and mushrooms... and there were a reasonable amount of mushrooms. Still very cheese heavy. The rest of the family opted for non veggie options and were quite happy with their food. Perhaps we should have asked for the vegan menu, which is not offered as standard.
Read moreOn our last visit to Freiburg I was similarly unimpressed by the food. I would however heartily recommend the unfiltered Pils on the menu. Service was a little slow, though not excessively so.

Wow, I was totally surprised that they had an extra vegan menu. And everything we had was super delicious. Overall everything fits well together, very mindful, super attentive and nice service. They even had the most expensive organic nappies at the changing table. I'd say the higher price in justified.
