Best Açai bowl on the island. - Edit
I went here for lunch and had a delicious meal!
Read moreI had the berry bowl which was the beast açai bowl I had on the island. I also had the kalefornia bowl which was big, healthy and tasty.
The staff here were lovely and setting is chilled, definitely worth visiting if your on the island. The menu is quite extensive and is one of the only places you would want to come back to, to try different things.
Pros: Best Açai bowl , Awesome menu, Lovely setting
Cons: Service can be a little slow when busy

Best vegan food on Koh Pha Ngan - Edit
This place never disappoints. The best breakfast, lunch and dinner place on Koh Pha Ngan!!! 😋
Read moreMany creative dishes. Tried almost the whole menu, all amazing. Cannot agree with other reviewers, the prices are okay for what you get. Here you will always feel full afterwards (unlike many other vegan places nearby which charge more for less) and remember this is not Thai food.
Go there!
Pros: delicious, friendly staff, fair prices

Spectacular, again - Edit
We came here two years ago, and were excited to come back again. We were delighted to return, they did not disappoint.
Read moreFrom the wonderfully warm and friendly staff, to the chilled vibe and great setting, to the simply delicious food, this place cannot be faulted.
Well, I lie. There are too many good options, making choice difficult and making me want to neglect every other place on Koh Phangan and keep coming back.
Highly recommend!
For what it’s worth, my partner had the Hola bowl, I had the burrito with tempeh (with a very fresh, tasty salad). Both very filling, enormous serves.
Also had a juice and iced coffee frappe, both cold, delicious and refreshing.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Beautifully presented food, Healthy but delicious
Cons: Erm. None. , Maybe portion size a touch large?

Bali style - Edit
Delicious food, bit on pricier side compared to the rest of Thailand but very well made and wholesome ingredients. I felt like I ate the breakfast burrito in two bites but is surprisingly very full.

The breakfast bowls are very good but really pricey too. But you get a nice variety and they taste amazing. I could sit there the whole day because the cafe’s interior is so homey and I just can keep on eating and eating there.

Karma Kafe - Edit
the design of this place impresses you from your first step in, pretty sitting ares with plants hanging from the ceiling and even a small fish creak. unfortunately the food on the other hand not that impressive, I ordered the Banana toast and butterfly drink. the toast was really simple, 2 pieces of bread with banana, nuts and a bit of syrup on top, nothing too amazing though served beautifully, the drink tasted like plain soda with a bit of lemon in it though again visually it look stunning with his neon purple color. I think the food there is really stunning visually but taste wise is kinda bland.

Enjoyed the breakfast bowl (bbq tempeh, spinach, avocado, tomato, quinoa, refrained beans, grated sweet potato and mushrooms) but found the portion a little small and was not completely full afterwards.

Chilled - Edit
Had breakfast here after first attempting a few days before and it being too busy! The food was great, we had the breakfast bowls and raw choc cake; both soooo tasty! Staff are great and the whole place has a chilled atmosphere. My only issue would be the portion size/presentation as the bowls, though tasty, weren’t very big and were served in huge bowls making them look kinda small too. Maybe it was the big bowl but I was still hungry after (hence the cake!)

Smaller menu but good food - Edit
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Smaller menu compared to other places in the area but we liked what we had (a bowl and a sweet potato dish). Some reviewers have commented on the prices but we did not find this place more expensive than other veggie ones in the area.

Schade.

Beautiful place, small portions compared to prices - Edit
Karma Kafe is really a place worth visit while traveling in Thailand because there are not that much restaurants like this there. Srithanu in Koh Phangan has so many vegetarian restaurants nowadays that I think it´s one of the places where vegan travelers should go.
Read moreStill I think the portions are too small at Karma Kafe. When restaurants have expensive prices, at least the customers should be able to get enough food. Maybe they should serve a cheap side salad with their portions if the ingredients are so expensive.
I had a bowl, I think the name was California bowl with some nori, rice and tempe. The cabbage and tomato should have been seasoned and not served just like that. The other dishes in the bowl were not that tasty that they would have needed bland side dishes.
It´s great that they have vegan desserts, I wish they have more non-raw desserts as well because it´s frustrating to get those cashew-date -mixtures all the time when you would like to have a vegan version of normal cakes. They had carrot cake that was okay.
Pros: Nice and modern
Cons: Expensive, Small portions

Amazing cake! - Edit
I can't say anything about the savory dishes but the raw chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream were amazing. The cake came with some chia pudding and raspberry sauce which was the perfect fit. So rich and chocolaty! The ice cream tasted more like coconut than chocolate but since I already had the chocolate cake it didn't bother me.

We just came here for some coconut ice cream, and I must say, of all the coconut ice creams I had during our 2 weeks in Thailand, this was the best and creamiest! They had lots of other yummy looking vegan dishes too, though :)

raw bliss! - Edit
Very clearly a cruelty free kitchen with excellent service, great, outdoor and relaxing atmosphere. We had the bean burrito and taco salad plate, both excellent, although a tiny bit bland. Perhaps a bit more spice? But their raw vegan desserts are out of this world! We sampled a variety and holy moly! Yum!!! A wee bit expensive but worth it if you appreciate the effort that goes into raw goodness.

The best restaurant on Kho Phangan - Edit
Karma Kafe is located on the right hand side as you enter Srithanu from the south, next door to Art Of Juice. It is a very large restaurant which can seat a large number of people. In typical Thai style, there is a roof but no walls. There are ceiling fans which ingeniously stop mosquitos from being able to bite.
Read moreAll food is vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free. The menu is interesting and inventive with numerous exciting choices.
The service is outstanding with friendly staff and food arriving very quickly. The atmosphere is very relaxed with a mixed clientele of families, couples and travellers. The free Wi-Fi is excellent in terms of connectivity and speed.
I visited Karma Kafe for dinner on two occasions during my time on Kho Phangan. The first time I ordered Karma Quesadilla (180 THB / £3.60) to start, Karma Beetroot Burgers Superstack (280 THB / £5.60) for main course and Raw Chocolate Pie (150 THB / £3) for desert. On my second visit I ordered Malibu Sushi (200 THB / £4) to start, Baja Tacos (240 THB / £4.80) for main course and Silly Rabbit carrot cake (140 THB / £2.80) for desert. I also ordered the Organic Raspberry Orange Iced Tea (100 THB / £2) which was very refreshing. On both occasions, the food was beautifully presented, delicious and the portion sizes were enormous.
Karma Kafe is probably my favourite restaurant on Kho Phangan and I thoroughly recommend it.
Pros: Delicious, Exciting Menu, Big Portions
Cons: Slightly expensive by Thai standards
