Awesome Vegan Sunday Roast

I came here for a film screening and board games night and had the vegan sunday roast. It was really awesome, and I haven't had a traditional roast in years before. It was very nice and the staff there are super friendly.

Pros: vegan sunday roast, big venue, friendly staff

Amazing vegan Sunday roast

I went for the Wellington option. It was superb. The Sunday roast is as good as I remember (I last visited about eight years ago). My son had chick’n burger which he enjoyed. The staff are lovely & the vibe is obviously good. It’s impossible to fault this place.

Good Sunday Roast

Great Sunday roast! The staff were excellent. My brother and I each got the Almond Wellington and Chicken and Mushroom Pie roasts to share - I preferred the pie, but both were good, really liked the red cabbage! Also got the pancakes and the salted caramel cake - both excellent. Reasonable prices (£15 for roast, £5 for dessert, £8 for large wine)

Excellent Sunday roast and other wholesome vegan food

After a long hiatus Karamel restaurant is now open on Sundays for Sunday Roast as well as other wholesome vegan food.
We went there last Sunday and had the Sunday roast. Exceptionally good, and very filling.
They also have desserts including apple cake with custard.
There's a bar for those want alcohol.
Very happy to recommend.
-----------
We understand that they also serve food on evenings when there is music or another event at the venue.

Very disappointing

Being vegan and having recently moved to the area, I was so excited to try this and it was so disappointing. We had an Indian thali and a Thai thali and this was the worst Indian and Thai food (or vegan food) I ever tasted. Poor choice of ingredients, no understanding of what Indian or Thai or professional cooking is, poorly cooked. I think the chef or whoever cooks the food needs training and support. Also the restaurant could do with tidying tables. It was a bit of a mess the day we came in.
I really hate writing bad reviews but this was bad and I would only give one star if allowed to. I hope this was an one off bad experience and other people will be luckier. I m worries that non vegan people will go there and think all vegan food is awful after that. Please please take feedback into consideration.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Very poorly cooked

Delicious!

Great pizza and pasta with delicious vegan parmesan to top it off. Menu had a range of pizzas, burgers and specials dishes so there was a good variety to choose from.

Staff were friendly and the vibe was chilled, set in a community arts space with stage, theatre and artwork on display. Hosts events too which are worth checking out.

Definitely worth travelling to go to even if you don't live in Wood Green.

Pros: Friendly staff, Community arts vibe

Cons: Drinks were expensive

Pizza & burgers

The menu is just burger and pizza. That beings said, they all taste good, just wish there was some healthier and more creative options. The live events are great, the staff are friendly and it has a good vibe.

Pros: Everything is vegan, Good live events, Friendly staff and good vibes

Cons: Food is not creative

Best place for vegan Sunday roasts

Had a banging Sunday roast here after a late night Saturday for London Vegan Drinks at the same venue. Just look at it!

Great Food, Friendly People

We found this place by accident and were VERY happily surprised! They have a great selection of food and sweet treats as well as a fully stocked vegan bar. We had some MASSIVE burgers and chips and he gave us some free tasters of the cheeses that they use for their cheese board. All were superb! All the staff were so nice and all really helpful.

Pros: Real range of dishes, Good price, Really great staff

Cons: A little out of the way I guess but easy to find

An amazing vegan haven

I love this place soooo much.....the people running it are extraordinary....really fun and wacky....The food is fantastic....homely and delicious.....This place is very special....a beacon in the community....always looking to do good with the events they put on as well as fab craft beers locally produced. They even do vegan meetups on the first Saturday of every month.....our vegan greyhounds get lots of extra cuddles from the warm clientele they have....Come and make friends..people want to talk to you there...

Pros: Great food, great value...you will not leave hungry, Fab staff...all of them!! Its like a family.

Bangers & Mash

We tried out their Sunday menu the other day and were pleasantly surprised by the portion size. Great vegan sausages with wonderful gravy and mash which kept us full the whole afternoon. It was a bit pricier than what I'm used to, but why not treat yourself to a good weekend lunch every once in a while?

Underwhelming

I'd been looking forward to finally eating here but I was really underwhelmed by the food. I could have cooked a better vegan roast dinner at home, the roast potatoes were poorly done and it felt like a school dinner. Overpriced for what it was.

Pros: Nice ambiance

Cons: Overpriced

Best soy "meetballs" in my life!

Went there today thanks to happycow and the food is just delicious. The waitress and the chef are really kind, the place is cozzy with sofas and tables, there's also live music, vegan milk options and it's cheap!!!

Pros: Cheap, Delicious, Live music

Love it!

Best Vegan Sunday Roast in town. We go everywhere and try as many as possible. The two types of roast potatoes (garlic and non-garlicy) are sooo tasty and you get LOADS of veg... also, the nut roast is really good. Noticed they’ve started getting some interesting craft beers in now too. We love relaxing, listening to music & playing games.

Pros: Excellent roast, Loads of desert options, Great new beers

Cons: None I can think of

Lovely atmosphere!

An all vegan café, many options provided, food could’ve been warmer, seemed a little cold. Wasn’t too spicy, but mild, perhaps could’ve done with a pinch of salt, but all in all, it was good.

Pros: Inexpensive , Good location , Chilled out environment

Cons: Cold food

great atmosphere

Just came back from an Italian-themed valentine’s dinner with my non-vegan husband. We both enjoyed our pasta meals: wholesome and hearty on a cold rainy evening. Great to discover a fully vegan restaurant right on my doorstep. Dog-friendly, child-friendly, lots of fun events, Sunday roasts... and really nice staff :)

Pros: fully vegan, super friendly
