delicious

Had some absolutely incredible peanut noodles and my non-vegetarian, mushroom-hating boyfriend even enjoyed the mushroom soup. Very decent choice of food, and vegan cheeses etc on offer to buy to take away.

Amazing

My recent trip to Iceland had me worried about what I would be able to eat, but I was surprised to find a decent amount of veg friendly places throughout the country, but especially in Reykjavik. This place was my saving grace, and I returned to it several times throughout the trip. The space had a really cozy vibe and the food far exceeded my expectations--my favourite was the dip/spread platter! 10/10 would recommend.

supergood!

Cosy vibe, vinyls played all day. I had a nice salad with a huge bean falafel on top. Only criticism: i would have preferred a few tinier falafels, but salad, dressing etc was really good. Also the homemade kefir, the coffee and a homemade bounty bar. My friend had the lasagna, also very nice. I loved the place, especially the old 1990ies "The Face" issues lying around that were a real time travel!

Just super!

Though expensive (but everything is in Iceland) I had the mile high club sandwich which was amazing with bacon flavoured portabello, tomatoes, dijon mustard, avocado, lettuce, garlic aioli, vegan cheddar and crisps on the side. It was amazing, one of the best sandwhiches I've had! Super friendly staff as well! Well recommended!

Pros: the sandwhich was amazing, great flavour combos, friendly staff

Cons: expensive

Great food and atmosphere

We had a delicious lasagne and tasty Thai tofu noodles. The dishes were well presented and scrumptious. We also tried the Icelandic sparkling drinks. A must! Surrounded by comfy furniture and cool records we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Service lovely too!

Pros: Excellent food, Great atmosphere

Cons: Not many seats

Vegan gem in Reykjavik

We loved this vegan cafe, it's nice and relaxed to sit in and the food is really delicious. Everywhere in Iceland is expensive so the prices are reasonable bearing that in mind. Try the 'kawaii' sandwich and the lasagna!

Decent Food but HORRIBLE service

Ciabatta sandwich with mushrooms and onions is really good, so was the soup of the day (tomato lentil but had a lot of carrots & celery too) and the sourdough that came with it. The chia pudding was too thick/there wasn't enough liquid for the seeds to absorb but had good toppings especially the mango. The service is unbearably slow and unfriendly despite no one else being in the restaurant. We could hear the workers giggling while we waited over an hour for food. They were also strangely strict about the menu items substitutions/add on for a example don't have a side salad even though several of the menu items come with a small side salad. They just seemed annoyed to have to interact or do any work.

Best Sandwich in the world 🇮🇸 (Kaffi Vinyl RVK is the only vegan place in the whole country )

Kaffi Vinyl is Amazing ! Its still the only fully vegan place in the whole of Iceland .🇮🇸
Im a vegan for 10 years and I have never had a sandwich as good as the kawaii with oumph ! 🇮🇸
I had one every day I was in Reykjavík . The gluten free bread with balsamic glaze with extra oomph.se with avocado and caramelised onions was ecstasy for my taste buds .🇮🇸
I loved having one for breakfast / lunch to start the day in The Amazing country of Iceland .🇮🇸
Later on I would try the noodles 5☆ and the wrap 5☆ and the most amazing vegan lasagne i have also ever had 5☆
If you are vegan and need some where safe to eat Kaffi Vinyl is the place for us .🇮🇸
Also I don't drink any more coffee but I tried the oat milk latte with coconut blossom and cinnamon 5☆ 🇮🇸
8am till 11pm with breakfast menu and cocktail 🍸menu Kaffi Vinyl is the place to be with hence the name Vinyl records spinning on the turntables all day and night .🇮🇸
I can't wait to go back to Iceland to see what amazing new things they have on the menu next time .🇮🇸
Thank you Kaffi Vinyl and I hope you inspire more vegan places in Iceland 🇮🇸.
Even the airport and wow air have a vegan option now 🇮🇸

Doesn't get better than this

Are you vegan and visiting Iceland? You MUST come here. There isn't much more to say beyond what others have already said. This is the only dedicated all-vegan restaurant in Iceland :) Superb drink and dining options with a great atmosphere.

Wonderful place & great food

I visited Vinyl with my friend 3 days ago, and it was a very nice experience overall. The place is very cozy with friendly stuff and great music (some reggae LP was rolling during our stay), and we were searching some Lp's that you can also buy there. We found 4 of them for a very reasonable price :)
Food was very tasty and delicious. We had Lasagna and "Ludvig", which is black bean/quinoa burger with blueberry jam and some other very tasteful things :D Pesto that goes with Lasagna was extremely good, and that Lasagna was the most perfect Lasagna ever!
We highly recommend this place, you will love it! :)

Pros: All vegan, Excellent food, Very cozy

awesome unique place

We stopped in on a layover, as this is marketed as Iceland's only all-vegan restaurant. The menu changes from day to day, but all the food is delicious. I really mean it -- DELICIOUS. They also have beer and some cocktails. We happened to go on a Saturday, where a DJ was playing house music during dinner. Basically, it was one of the best meals I've had in a while.

Pros: lots of vegan options, sometimes live music, rotating menu so you'll always have something

Great Food

All vegan but with a small menu. The food was well prepared, delicious and affordable. The place is a bit funky, nothing fancy. They play albums(vinyl) on record players. And they have some very interesting beers. Enjoyed it!!

Pros: Great food, Enjoyed the funky atmosphere , Affordable

Best Vegan Eats!!

After trying several other vegan restaurants in Reykjavik, went to Vinyl, and was blown away at the exquisite quality of everything that goes on every plate! The Lasagne was melt in your mouth goodness, the pesto was superb, and I tried my friend's Kauai dish, and the mushrooms and vegan chicken were nothing like I've ever tasted before, simply superbly delicious and delectable. This is a MUST stop in the wonderland of Iceland.

Pros: Everything!

Best vegan food in Iceland

Ordered the Kauai sandwich. It was absolutley amazing, one of the best vegan meals I have ever had. The mushrooms were cooked and seasoned to perfection and their oumph (soy pho meat) was the best meat replacement I have tried so far. I would highly recommend this place. Great vibe, great staff.

Pros: taste, presentation, vibe

Cons: none

That's a good start, Iceland!

The first entirely vegan eatery in Iceland - that's a good start!
Vinyl is a great place I genuinely like to go to, there are nice vibes, the venue is spacious, hip and comfy. And beyond their good taste in music (there are LPs playing all the time), they do also have good taste in food!
The food is awesome - for the greater part. Their breakfast for instance is pretty laughable to be honest, don't even bother with that. The lasanga though is somethings else entirely! Superb lasagna, fair salad on the side, plenty of seeds on top of that (that makes a difference - in a good sense), go for it!
The sandwiches are good, could be better though. Same goes for the Thai noodles.
This venue seems to be popular with hipsters working on their laptops.
Staff has a good attitude. Overall great concept.
You can buy LPs, too, there are plenty of offerings.
The bad thing is, that's it's truly expensive in there.

Pros: mind-blowing lasagna, legit interior, LPs!

Cons: ridiculous breakfast, price

Sooooo good

I had the Kuawai (I don't remember the spelling) sandwich and omg.. It was heavenly! My boyfriend had the lasagne and was pleased but mostly just eyeballed my sandwich till I gave the rest to him..
It was very cute and cozy, had a lot of great options, totally recommend!

Cons: Very expensive, but I felt the sandwich was worth

Vegan in Iceland

While most cafes have vegan options in Reykjavik, it is nice to know you can eat everything. The food portion was big, it was very tasty and the staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Well worth trying. Also very handy for take away food like massive wraps for day trips.

Pros: Tasty, Big portions

Best lasagne I've ever eaten

My family (3x vegans 1x omnivore) went here for dinner and were blown alway. Great chilled out vibe with cheesy but fab music and a really extensive fully vegan menu. My mum and I had the lasagne which was incredible and blew both our minds, my brother had the noodles and my dad the burger, both which they said were fab.

1000000%! Reccoemnd

Pros: Great vibe , Fully vegan menu

Cons: Usually very busy so get there in plenty of time

Extremely good food, bad service

The food is crazy good, a bit pricy but worth it. The staff was a bit impolite though and the food came all at separate timing to the table, some of us were almost done eating when the others got their food. But apart from the service the food is great!

Pros: Great food!

Cons: Bad service

Great Food!

This place was great. We went for dinner and had the Thai noodles and BBQ oumph burger which were both delicious as well as a chocolate cupcake for dessert which was yum. The staff were also really friendly. Highly recommend ?

The best place for a vegan in Iceland

The food is really amazing, I loved everything I had here.
The place has very good ambient with a DJ using vinyls.
The only vegan place I found in the area. I ate here two or three times even while my budget was a little off. Totally recommended

A Must for Vegans in Iceland!

The atmosphere is cool and retro with records playing in the background and furniture and decor from the 60s and 70s. The food is amazing with very large portions, even for this hungry American family. They have while ale on tap and others which are a good quality. They have cookies and cakes for desert to add to their menu that is very diverse. We ate here twice- once for lunch which was so filling we could not finish, and once in the evening we stopped in for desert and drinks where they had a deejay mixing some tunes, it was a good scene both times. We will definitely return if we are in Reykjavik again?

Pros: large portions , diverse menu, all vegan offerings
