Food did not meet expectations - Edit
We ordered 2 donuts and 2 breakfast meals. The donuts were delicious and there were multiple pastry options. The food we ordered was awful. Took 1 bite and threw it away. The bakery is in a really cute corner of the Boston Public Market. Had high hopes and would return for the baked goods but never for the food.

Amazing - Edit
I'd suggest getting there earlier in the day if you want something other than just desert, she is very popular and sells out quickly. For deserts I've tried the brownies and banana bread, both delicious! And I have to say, the last time I was there I tried the fancy fig panini, the bread was freshly made and between the carmalized onions, vegan gouda, and sweet figs, I was in heaven. Also, customer service was top notch. I highly recommend even bringing non-vegans here and they'd love it ♥️

Trash - Edit
Horrible service (woman just left in the middle of making sandwich with no explanation). Horrible price for what you’re getting. Bread was extremely cakey and oily. Finally, they were out of MORE THAN ONE basic vegetables listed on their menu, had to substitute. Every other time I’ve tried to go there they are just completely out of sandwich ingredients altogether (??). garbage business

Room for Improvement - Edit
I had the breakfast of champions sandwich this morning, which features scrambled tofu, vegan cheese, and eggplant “bacon”. The eggplant was not warmed before being added to the sandwich, so it was weird to bite into a warm sandwich with a cold center. The tofu had a great flavor, but again it could have been warmer. I had it on an onion bagel, which was quite good for GF.

A bit pricey, food not too good and it takes too long to get anything warm.

Cute place! - Edit
Little vegan place within the market. I only got the Mac n cheese which I heated up in my apartment and it was lovely. Don’t know about the cakes though. Would go again.

The food is flavorless. - Edit
Unfortunately the food was dried out and plain and quite simply just wasn't very flavorful. I hate giving a bad review of a vegan place, but it just didn't taste good. I mean you can't go wrong with a chocolate donut, right? Well, their chocolate donut with sprinkles was dry with unmixed chunks of flour and sugar still visible inside. The frosting wasn't sweet at all and I hate to say, it just wasn't worth finishing. I ended up throwing out my sandwich too and going to Levend Bagelry to get their Homemade Seiten, roasted red peppers, mixed greens and vegan cream cheese sandwich which was awesome. Sorry, but the bad reviews are right about this place. I hope they can work on their recipes and make tasty stuff because I think their menu options are awesome - they just don't deliver on the taste.

Good try - Edit
Very mediocre vegan sandwich, but you can make the exact same thing at home for cheaper. All the vegan meats and cheeses they use are sold at Whole Foods

Allergen Free and Yummy! - Edit
I frequent Jennifer Lee's as much as possible. Their chocolate chip cookies are amazing and I love their energy bites. I haven't tried too many of their lunch or dinner options but was very happy with my breakfast sandwich. They use Daiya cheese which although isn't the best is allergen free so can be eaten by most people. As a vegan who is allergic to nuts, this place is everything I've ever wanted.

a shame - Edit
I ignored the poor reviews because I was hungry and had no Wi-Fi... sad I did though as this was a rather disappointing experience.
Read moreI got the last bread ... which already had bbq sauce on because she had misheard my order... the other items I bought were tough and had strange texture. Even though the taste was good.
What a shame

Love Jennifer Lee's - Edit
I'm kind of confused about all of the other reviews, because I've only ever gotten great stuff from here. The cookies and donuts are especially yummy, and I would recommend them to vegans and non-vegans alike. I also really appreciate Jennifer's efforts to create allergen-free foods.

I hope this place can get their act together - Edit
I’m so disappointed with this place. Asked for the jackfruit sandwich (they have four lunch items to choose from) and they said they were out of jackfruit. So we ordered the bbq tempeh and grilled cheese. They go to make the sandwiches and the bread was moldy and they couldn’t find any more bread. After some searching they found more bread. Then they had no tomatoes for my sandwich so asked to replace with a different veggie. When we got the sandwiches the bread was wet and the grilled cheese was hardly warm. They used Diaya cheese which when there is so many other brands I’m not sure why they are using it. The bread was so bland and it was just really disappointing. My bf is not vegan but eats vegan with me all the time and said that normally the vegan food we get is awesome but he thought it was terrible. I read these reviews before we went but their Facebook has 4.7/5 Stars so I was hoping i would get lucky. I really hope this place gets their act together and succeed. I’m only giving two stars instead of one because they’re all vegan

Hit and miss - Edit
Everything is vegan but it’s definitely not the most tasty vegan options around. They often have a stall at SOMA market where I have tried their goods: had a brownie there that was very dry. Hopefully they can tweak their recipes to show how delicious vegan baked goods can be!

Not great cinnamon roll - Edit
All Vegan, we only tried the cinnamon roll but each only took one bite and tossed it. Not that it wasn't edible but we rather eat something good than fill up on something just ok.

For allergens - Edit
The place is vegan but it themes for allergens, which make it all gluten free and all. I felt like the place didn't make an effort to make it extra good, just edible. Didn't enjoy my sandwich

Disappointing baked goods - Edit
I was so excited about a new vegan place in town, but I was disappointed in everything I ordered (the chocolate chip cookie, the strawberry shortcake ball, and the pumpkin spice donut)... they were just tasteless.

Interesting... - Edit
I got the weirdest stuff here: a chicken (jackfruit) sandwhich with Daiya provolone and dressing, and a fruity pebble donut. The sandwhich was very oily, sour and spicy. It was crazy. My taste buds were so confused. To those who have not tried jackfruit (like myself when I had this), it had the consistency of an artichoke heart. The donut... which I was so excited about... was cold and stale. I'm giving this 3 stars because I appreciated the wacky food and allergy consideration.

Allergen free baked goods in Boston Public Market - Edit
A cute little stall. I had a donut, which wasn’t so sweet like stereotypical donuts and was good for breakfast. In addition to being vegan, they’re also gluten and nut free.
Read moreThis is a stall located in Boston Public Market, which is cute and worth a stop overall if you’re nearby. It seems to be near more touristy markets, but a bit more upscale. I also got a falafel pita from Inna’s Kitchen, which has food from a variety of Jewish culinary backgrounds. There’s a bit of seating, but not a ton. If the weather is nice, you might be able to find seating outside.

Tasty Treats! - Edit
Jennifer Lee's is located in the fairly new Boston Public Market - right above the Haymarket T Station, across from City Hall and a few blocks from the touristy Quincy Market. Unfortunately I went quite late in the day and the selection was limited (completely understandable) as was the same at all the other stands too. I was able to get blueberry bread - like a big tasty blueberry muffin and took a box of, the very rare, vegan French Macarons! Head to the market, buy a few things and create a pic-a-nic and find a nice bench to eat on!
