The tofu is gross - Edit
Wouldn’t recommend unless in a bind really. The tofu was pretty foul, clearly hadn’t been pressed and just deep fried. When you bite into it, all the water burst out everywhere. Pretty unpleasant meal. My friend had a better sweet n sour tofu though.

Good food - Edit
The owner was really nice and gave us some recommendations. Especially the spicy fried tofu was very nice and the eggplant meatballs as well. The fried noodles could have been a little bit more flavorful.

Avarage food - Edit
It was ok, avarage food, but for this price you can eat in a way better place in town (possibly it was increased for me as the price was less than a half in the menu, it was very difficult to comunicate in english so I didn’t investigate and just paid). Good thing there is a wifi.

Good food, friendly staff - Edit
I really enjoyed the food at JC, with the eggplant hot plate being the stand out. I also had the bak kuh teh and satay which were both good. Vegan isn't labelled on the menu and the staff said all but one dish could be made without egg, so hoping that is the case! We found the staff to be very friendly, and spoke a good amount of English (HC notes that staff don't speak English which we didn't find to be the case). Overall a really great option in PP.

Delicious food, great price - Edit
Great menu, tofu and aubergine dishes were delicious. Good mix of mock meats and tofu /veg dishes. They checked whether we ate egg or not when we ordered, which I appreciated. Owner Tam was super friendly and explained to us about himself and the restaurant. Highly recommend! We went twice.

Great vegan options! - Edit
It’s already been said but one more data point: good seating, extensive food menu (they do use eggs but will accommodate vegan requests happily), nice staff. I ordered a small plate and it was perfect size for lunch.

Big menu, friendly staff - Edit
Staff are very smiley and friendly, they can also speak English quite well so ignore the description.
Read moreFood was nice but not the tastiest I’ve had in Phnom Penh and at similar prices.
Fried noodles were good and chicken steak was ok but heavily deep fried which got sickly after 3-4 pieces. Seaweed and tofu soup is nice if you’re looking for something not spicy, great if you’re ill!
They also sell shark fin soup, I know it isn’t real but i don’t think it’s very ethical to promote such a destructive industry.

Pros: Friendly and attentive staff, Varied menu
Cons: Shark fin soup on the menu , Foods too heavily deep fried

I think your comment on shark fins isn't fair, you could say the same about chicken and beef. They do not promote it. Instead they are promoting that an alternative can exist.

Tasty with variety - Edit
I took the mock chicken steak. It was deep fried. I appreciated the variety built into one dish: the steak, a side salad as well as a side of beans in tomato sauce. Altogether it made up for a great quantity, despite the dish being on the cheaper side on their menu. The fries were also abundant, and very crispy!

Amazing East-Asian style, can easily do vegan. - Edit
Amazing vegetarian food, they made my food vegan. I went back 3 times. The food is nutritious and has a good serving size.
Read moreI don’t know the origins of the restaurant/cuisine but it remind me of vegetarian restaurants in East Asia, namely Hong Kong. Certainly there is Khmer style as well.
In the description is says they don’t speak English but this is not entirely true, some of the staff do speak English in fact when I ordered my food they checked if I ate eggs or not before I said anything! Very nice staff.
I am gluten-free so I avoided all mock meats.

We went overboard with the mock meat, our favorites were the chicken wings, sizzling beef and satay. Staff were really nice and we all watched K-Pop videos together all evening. Lots of fun.

Fantastic wholly vegetarian Chinese restaurant and cheap! - Edit
The food was brilliant, like nothing else! We ate here twice, the first time we didn’t realise everything on the menu is vegetarian including the “roast pork” styled like the street food. We had tofu etc. But on our second trip we were informed everything is and WOW, I think the substitute food would even trick a meat eater!

Not good for vegans - Edit
The menu doesn’t differentiate between what is vegan and what is just vegetarian. And as the person serving me didn’t really speak English, I just ordered what I thought were a couple of ‘safe’ vegan choices; fried spinach and deep-fried tofu.
Read moreThe spinach was vegan, but the tofu had been made with a batter very obviously containing egg.
As that was the biggest part of the meal I ordered, it meant I didn’t really have much to eat.
I take responsibility, as I should have done a better job of checking what was vegan before ordering, so I didn’t complain.
I just ate my spinach and paid for the whole thing, making it a rather expensive plate of spinach.
From a vegan perspective, this place could be made so much better by just marking in the menu which items are vegan and which aren’t. As it is, it’s just pot-luck, so it’s really not a very vegan-friendly place.
Cons: Doesn’t mark vegan items in the menu
