Vegan Indian Buffet in Chiado - Edit
A few days into our visit of Lisbon, after a few hours of sightseeing, hunger persuaded us to pop into Jardim das Cerejas for a vegan buffet. It's a popular and very straightforward buffet: A host greeted us and directed us to a table, took our drink orders, and directed us the serve-yourself buffet. There were a good dozen-plus items to choose from: appetizers, mains, desserts. One plate was plenty for me; everything I chose hit-the-spot. The price was very reasonable, especially considering that I could've had another plate full. (Jay had two plates, and he's VERY wary of Indian food since contracting an illness in Mumbai years ago.) If you're on a tight budget, and like to eat, perhaps Jardim das Cerejas might just be up your alley....

Must Try Vegan Buffet - Edit
I’m not usually a buffet person, but I’m glad we stopped by Jardim Das Cerejas for lunch. They have both individual tables and community-style tables for dining. The buffet is small, but it packs a lot of flavor. I believe the menu changes every day. After ordering drinks, we went up to the buffet line and noticed that the small buffet line had a lot of options to choose from. Since it’s a 100% vegan restaurant, I didn’t have to worry about which foods I could eat. I tried a small bite of everything on the line. Most of it was really good, with a few items that were truly exceptional. The ‘cod’ was amazing. I wish I knew how to make it at home. The salad was a nice contrast to the rich sauces. For about $10 euros each, you can’t go wrong, whether you’re hungry or just want a small bite.

Wholesome - Edit
I went for the buffet lunch. It’s well attended. I really liked the soup. I took small portions of each of the hot dishes - glad to see short-grain brown rice, and the vegetable mixture and everything was good. I like papadum, nice to have something crunchy. I can’t eat much in one sitting, so buffets aren’t really my thing, but this is good food, and there are dessert options if you fancy one.

Nice change - Edit
After a few days on a cruise ship where vegan options are present but limited, it made a nice change to come here and have a good choice and not worry about which ones we could eat. Food was tasty, varied and plentiful and at a very reasonable price.

Vegan Healthy Buffet at Jardim das Cerejas - Edit
The interior was spacious filled with vibrant greenery—a lovely sight after a long day of exploring. The lunch prices were remarkably affordable, with a daily-changing menu that emphasized freshness. While the food isn’t your standard Portuguese cuisine, the focus on fresh, vegetable-rich dishes and minimally processed plant-based options makes this place truly special. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere added to our overall enjoyment! Fantastic - Edit
If you like the restaurant with heart, food that is authentic, healthy, fresh and not only fills you belly but also your soul, this is (from the remaining ones in Lisbon) place to go.
Read moreVery likely best vegetarian restaurant in Lisbon. Had a tough competition from old Terra, Paladar Zen and Jardim dos Sentidos but after those places closed, am sooo happy this place is still open and cannot compliment the food and atmosphere enough.

My fav in Lisboa - Edit
I discovered this place a few years ago, and it’s become my favorite. Every time we pass through Lisbon, we stop by. My boyfriend isn’t vegan, but he loves their food. My dad has also been there a few times because it’s really delicious and reasonably priced. It’s homemade food, and always so tasty.

Great vegan 'all you can eat' buffet - Edit
This was an interesting restaurant as we'd not come across a vegan 'all you can eat' before.
Read moreBasically for 10 Euros you get good buffet selection, comprising of a soup, lots of uncooked mains (e.g. chick peas, salads etc) and 3 hot dishes (e.g. mushroom risotto and rice). The food was all well presented, good selection, and kept well stocked.
If you wanted a drink and/or dessert, then they were extra.
The restaurant isn't huge, and they've got a lot of tables in there so I guess it can be quite cramped when they are full.
The only 'negative' is that the staff didn't seem particularly motivated or welcoming - they walked around and never smiled. If they fix that, then this would improve the atmosphere alot.
We went there for lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed the food we had.
Pros: Buffet selection
Cons: Disengaged staff

Relaxed and friendly. All you can eat buffet with and Indian Subcontinent vibe. Good value drinks. Puddings extra - but worth it (if you’ve left enough space!)

I’ve been looking for somewhere to stuff my face - Edit
Delicious, has good gluten free variety. Lots of salad options, filling, friendly, AND CHEAP!
Read moreJardim das Cerejas was somewhere have been looking for, for a long time. They had a great assortment of meals to choose from. The salads were very tasty and refreshing to have. The curries were very good and not too oily. Great place to eat.
The staff was very friendly and we had a short conversation, they took the time to show us what was gluten free there. And what’s also great is that the gluten things in my opinion where not nearly as good as the gluten free ones!
Pros: All the foods, The staff, The price!!!
Cons: Gets very hot when filled with people, Seating leaves no room to walk around when busy, Meals don’t change too much each day like they say
