Excellent sit down and take-out! - Edit
We’ve ordered delivery from Indochine numerous times and have always been impressed by the variety of flavors, great use of tofu and soy protein (these dishes are protein packed!), and speedy service. We came into the actual restaurant tonight and were excited to try their clay pot and sizzling dishes, which we had never thought would be as good to-go. Both dishes were thoughtfully plated, perfectly cooked and fun to eat.

Bad service - Edit
The restaurant was full but there was only one server and two chefs. It took 15 minutes for the server to come and take our order. She rushed us when we wanted to ask about some of the menu items, and was pushy.
Read moreWe ordered the Won Ton soup, pot stickers, the Chow Fun with soy jerky, and the deluxe vegetables dish with a side of rice. The soup and Chow Fun were very tasty, but we never got our pot stickers or rice. The house sauce on the vegetables was salty and super garlicky. We tried to ask about our pot stickers and rice, but she was too busy and forgot every time we asked.
We waited at least another 20 minutes for our bill and finally had to get up to pay. She was going to charge us for the food we never got. I would suggest take-out.
Pros: Food has potential
Cons: Not enough staff, Pushy, bad service, Food forgotten

Negative One Star. - Edit
We came in as a party of 4. Ordered 4 dishes- potstickers, hot and sour soup, indochine claypot, and eggplant and tofu. The wait staff was pushy and rushed. When we asked her for suggestion she push us off and said everything is good. When we asked what is house sauce she said "I don't know but it is very good." etc...
Read more1 glass was dirty we sent back. then the 4 plates came out. kinda smuggy. then the bowls for soup. 2 of them were not just smuggy with oil but also had dirty old food stuck in them. I sent 2 back, did not bother to ask for more bowl bc I know I probably do not want soup anyway. So she sent me 2 new bowls, again just as dirty if not dirtier. so much food stuck on the rim this time around.
I tried to.move on and enjoy the food. we were starving. All the dishes were super oily and bland as can be. Then I realized, this is where vegans come to get heart attacks. Never again
Pros: all vegan
Cons: dirty dishes, glass and bowls. Oily anf bland

lovely spot in the Mission - Edit
Cozy atmosphere. Good selection on the menu and food comes out quickly. Friendly staff. Menu is very similar to the Loving Hut in the sunset like three mushroom and green bean, green bean with tofu. Mock meat chicken, beef and fish on the menu. Mostly Asian food eith some western style dishes like burger and fries. A lot of menu items have been crossed off like sushi and many cakes. Good food and affordable.

Great restaurant - Edit
I recommend this place. Not sure why others had such negative comments. Maybe they ordered the wrong thing...my selection was delicious. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, plenty of options. I am going back tonight.

Better options in the city - Edit
We live close by and really want to love this place. Sadly, the food lacks luster compared to similar options relatively close by. The rice clay pot — though it wasn’t called exactly that — was delicious

I love Indochine, and go here all the time. The variety of dishes is really nice, and I like the juice. I bring friends here who aren't vegan, and they all like what they eat.

better than loving hut, similar(ish) menu - Edit
I have been here 3 times so far, each of those occasions with a group of at least 6. Service was pretty good every visit, considering the size of our party (and that we did not all order or arrive at the same time on one of these occasions). I can’t say the food is amazing or not to be missed, but it’s consistently good. I have tried noodle soups and mock meat dishes, and bites of other people’s dishes, and liked everything I tried. The food is similar to, but better than, loving hut’s, and I like loving hut.

Better food at Wild Pepper - Edit
This place is disappointing. Everything was very bland or just tasted over salted. I haven't been back. Places like this do an injustice to vegan food. Cha Ya is down the street if you want something better seasoned and all vegan. For Chinese, check out Wild Pepper on 27th. Not vegan but they have a whole meatless chicken and tofu section.

The food here was amazing, the pot stickers had shitake mushrooms in them which gave them a delicious umami flavor. Also got the Chef's fried rice, it had big chunka of broccolin it was very filling and a large portion for the price. Definitely would recommend this restaurant!

delicious, great variety, and good prices - Edit
Delicious! We came as four so we were able to try a lot of different things. The Indochine hot stone rice was amazing, but really everything we got was solid. This is good restaurant Asian food so not necessarily super healthy but it really hits the spot. The prices were very reasonable including the alcohol. Great spot!

Went here last week, loved the selection. We ordered the tofu sushi roll and the stone pot. While I wasn't impressed with the tofu roll, the stone pot was great! Definitely planning on going back and exploring more of the menu.

Sizzle sizzle - Edit
Been there 3 times now and been pleased every time! The claypot and sizzling dishes are really nice (forgot now which ones specifically I've had, I think the sizzling beef and the one with vegan ham). Also love the potstickers and won ton soup. Wasn't too much of a fan of the crispy noodles though (weird jelly-like sauce with an eggy flavour - too much black salt?) I think I'll just stick with the sizzling/claypot selection in the future :)

Burned and subpar food - Edit
The waitress spilled hot tea on my mom. However, she did say sorry but her fellow co-worker was making rude facial expressions when I asked for ice for my mother's leg. Mind you I am just asking for the ice so it relieves the pain (thankfully she was wearing jeans). Also, the food was just okay and the only thing I liked was an appetizer, which were potstickers.

Bland - Edit
I was very disappointed with the food here. The fresh spring rolls did not seem fresh... very little crunch and I could not figure out what the sauce was - I thought it was cashew since it was so light in color but it was tasteless. The yellow curry was seasoned with what tasted like curry powder (British style) - not very flavorful. The Crispy Chow Fun noodle dish was also very bland. Both the curry dish and chow fun were marked as spicey and I have no idea why. The jasmine tea was very tasty. The venue and service were very nice - clean, modern and prompt friendly service. There are just too many good vegetarian options in town to pick this one. I had a friend with me who is new to being vegan and visiting SF and I'm sorry she did not have a better experience. It was also way too pricey.

terrible - Edit
There are many good Asian vegan options in San Francisco and around the bay. This one is not worth going to unless you're stranded in mission and everything else has sank in the Pacific Ocean. Service will underwhelm you, food will not meet your expectations, and by all means, steer clear of the hot and sour soup (unless you need a lot of vinegar for some reason). Yuck and Yikes.

Ordered from here for pickup and got the noodle soup, pot stickers, & the burger and it was delicious. Went back again to sit down and had an avocado cucumber roll and the wonton soup. So good! In my neighborhood, will be going back again for sure. I wasn't very hungry and didn't eat too much of the soup although it was delicious, and got it to go. The waitress asked very genuinely if I did not like the soup and requested any feedback in order to improve. Very nice and delicious.
