We had the most delicious dinner at Il Vegano. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Saturday night, so it was understandable. My only disappointment was that they ran out of tiramisu!

Lovely little vegan restaurant - Edit
Amazing vegan food, wine and beer. We had mushroom risotto, eggplant parmigiana, lasagna & spaghetti and it was all amazing. The tiramisu was incredible. Our server was also lovely!

Best vegan food in Florence - Edit
You should totally go there and try lasagne, it was the best one I’ve ever eaten and it tasted just like the ones with meat I used to eat in Italy when I was still eating meat! I was shocked how good it was, we went there twice during our three days in Florence

Very different to Il Vegetariano! Went at an offpeak lunch. Server was friendly and could speak English well. Seems to favour rock music in this place.

A wide selection of 100% vegan dishes, everything was really tasty. Everything is organic and local, including the wine, and for a very good price. The staff is also very friendly although sometimes it takes then longer to come to the table. All in all, it is a great place to have traditional Italian dishes like pasta and risotto in a vegan version.

Due to great ratings we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately we were disappointed afterwards. The portion sizes were really small, the Tiramisu was not available, there were not many customers, but the waiter did not bring the menu - only after a request and the water was served in plastic bottles without getting glasses. The lasagne only consisted of noodles - for the ragout inside you had to search - and did not really find anything...

You obviously didn't understand the place. This is a BISTROT, not a 5 star restaurant. with us the SERVICE IS NOT THERE and in fact YOU DON'T PAY FOR IT! '! A menu is brought and then the requested food. And if you have other requests, you have to get up and ask. Glasses are always brought with the cutlery. It is you who did not want them and drank YOUR water from the bottle. Our lasagne are famous for their taste and for sure they are not noodles but homemade pasta. It makes me think that you were wrong to review the place and went somewhere else instead ....

[EN] I chose this spot because of the Italian menu and good reviews on HappyCow. I had to wait a bit for placing the order because there was no one behind a counter. I ate tagliatelle with seitan ragout. The portion was very small and a flavor was mediocre. I expected something better, especially better taste. The staff was fine.

I don't know what expectations you had, but I invite you to go to other places as well to understand that, for what you have spent, it is impossible that you can find more. Either way it's a matter of taste. We make a hearty plate of homemade vegan pasta noodles with seitan ragout. and if this is not enough for you, we wish you to find better ... Good luck!

Everything here is vegan. Our group had eggplant parmesan, potato/chickpea soup, and the lasagne. Everything was wonderful. The lasagne was absolutely incredible. We also had tiramisu which was great. Staff spoke very little English so knowing some basic Italian will be helpful. Clean bathroom for customers only. We will go back before we leave Florence

Nice vegan food, many options. The rice croquettes with tofu & tempeh rocked. Dessert was sweet, good coffee as well. Very helpful staff. Happy to hear some good rock music in the bbackground as well. Don't forget to tip!

Absolutely loved the food the first time when I ate here, but the second time it had lost its charm and tasted burned - but if you ARE going to eat here I would definitely recommend "Brown Rice Croquettes", because its really tasty

Posto carino e accogliente, servizio cordiale e prezzi onesti. Una vera oasi vegana in una città dove purtroppo regnano carne e salumi. Io ho assaggiato la lasagna con ragù di seitan (davvero ottima), la parmigiana, le patatine fritte e la cheescake ai lamponi.
