Amazing seitan dishes

Delicious traditional polish food made vegan. What a pleasure to discover those flavors completely plant-based. Although i have never tried Zrazik z boczkiem, my friend (Polish) told me that the taste was impressive by its ressemblance. The menu (food and drink) is simple but the plates well filled. The interior is cosy and transcribes a good vibe and the employee very kind. Highly recommend (plus the portions are very big for the price!).

Pros: Traditional dishes with a twist, Extremely good quantity for price, Staff

Cons: Only cash (used the delivery service to eat in)

The place to try polish cuisine

If you want to try some typical polish cuisine, but in vegan, of course, this is your place.
We tried the roulade ("Zrazik z Boczkieh) and the dumblings (" Ryzuchy"). It was the first time we ate roulade after we went vegan - and it was so amazing. We did not know that we missed this dish (we have it in Germany, too) until we ate it today at this place. The dumblings tasted very good, too.
The menu is only in Polish, but the cashier translated it.
It has no sign over the door - it could be tricky to find it without Google maps. And remember that you need cash for this place.

I liked my food, looked good, "not fish" from banana flower wasn't my thing.
I like to have lots

Pros: Big portion, couldn't fit a desert in, Lots side vegetables, Baked potatoes are amazing

Cons: Very long waiting time, was worth it, but still

Tasty polish food

Everything here tasted great, nice vegetarian versions of classic dishes.

The big con is the "cash only" part. This was the only place that didn't accept VISA/MC. We had to find a nearby ATM, and found out there are exorbant fees on using foreign cards in Poland.

Pros: Nice food, tasty juices, ok price

Cons: cash only

Hummus deluxe

Went for the Hummus with slight touch of chili. Very delicious. Probably one of the better hummus I’ve ever had.

Service was also exceptional. Prices average.

Great

Tasty, fresh food. Polish cuisine made in a vegan way, which we don’t get often. Definitely makes the restaurant stand out.

Good food, good people

I had the pyzuchy (vegan pyzy), which are Polish dumplings made from potato and traditionally stuffed with mincemeat. In this case, it’s a mix of vegan mince, which is also served on top, and a little bit of tofu. The texture of the dumpling is somewhere halfway between soft boiled potatoes and a traditional dumpling.

Overall quite good, but I did feel that they were a bit too much potato and not enough filling compared to a traditional pyzy. Maybe a hint more salt in there would have been nice too, or perhaps a sauce on the side to zest things up a little? Still, enjoyable and tasty with a delicious salad accompaniment, and the presentation is 100% Instagram-perfect.

There’s no English menu available, and the day’s offerings are handwritten on a poster on the wall. However, the girl working the desk was super nice and stepped me through all the options, explaining everything in English along the way before I even had a chance to try my phone’s translator. So it’s definitely a welcoming atmosphere!

House of Seitan is the best

[EN] I was there many times and I was pleased and full every single time. You get a generous portion, which is a huge plus of this spot. You won't get such a serving anywhere else (in Tricity). Their food is so delicious. The best Polish cusine, Schabibi and pyzy are the best of all time. International options in the menu are also tasty.

HoS has also refreshing lemonades. I still remember their delicious desserts (but I think they don't make a cake now). The spot is tiny but it has its unique atmosphere that I like. The downside of this place is the fact that you can pay only in cash.

Pros: Delicious food, especially Schabibi and pyzy, big portions, you will be full and happy, cozy spot with cool atmosphere

Cons: Payment only in cash, limited space

Traditional Polish flavours

The place is a must if you want to try some traditional flavours, but in vegan version. I had a schabowy and it was delicious. Also, the staff was very kind because they attended me several minutes before closing hour, so it was a nice detail. The only one downside is that they do not accept credit cards, cash only.

Good place for dinnner

House of Seitan is small but cozy restaurant with a few options that are tasty and good looking, nothing special though. The prices are quite inadequate. Anyway, it is very good place for dinner!

Pros: Tasty food, Cozy place, LGBT friendly

Cons: Payment only with cash, Inadequate prices, Few tables

Good food but cash only

Inventive vegan versions of Polish staples. Funky and cool place with super friendly service. Good value for money and genuinely clever dishes that resemble classic meaty polish foods. We had millet burgers which were great. Big plus for not using garlic and onion in that dish. Very very big minus for only taking cash and no cards / Blik or any other method of payment. It's annoying and also suspicious, as if the owners didn't want registered payments, just cash in hand. I'm not going back till i can pay by card.

Legendary place

This is a legendary place on the vegan map of Gdańsk, even though they only opened in 2018. The menu is short, but changes often and the dishes are great, consisting of both Polish and international items. I am taking one star off because you cannot pay by card, which is annoying, specially when their second location accepts cards without any problems! Also, the waiting time for food seemed a bit long to me, but maybe I was just unlucky. I appreciate that you can always get free tap water.

Pros: Great food, Nice interior, Nice staff

Cons: No card payments

Nr 1 in Gdańsk city

This place is a must go, must eat, number 1 place in the city. Placed in Wrzeszcz neighbourhood, close to train, or city train(skm). Great food, a lot of vegetables, big portions, amazing atmosphere in the restaurant, awesome people. I always visit them when I am in gdansk. Never disappointed.

Pros: Food, big portions, amazing people, Good atmosphere, Close to train

Cons: They are perfect
