Serves meat, vegan options available. One of a few locations of this breakfast and lunch place, but this is the only one that has a separate "healthy" menu that offers vegan & gluten-free choices, (the other location on the same street has no vegan options). Vegan include tacos, silver dollar blueberry pancakes, quinoa. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-1:00pm.

So many vegan options! - Edit
Great service and so many clearly labeled vegan options. We had granola French toast and pancakes. Ordered the vegan cheesecake ( not my favorite, only bc it tastes nothing like cheesecake but more of a sweet custard). They also had vegan chocolate chip cookies. My only complaint is they do not have a dessert menu. The only reason I knew to try vegan cheesecake was I saw it written on a board while waiting. We then didn’t see the cookies til we had already paid at registers.

Tremendous Vegan Dining Experience - Edit
On vacation in Myrtle beach and my family was looking for vegan options and found this wonderful place! HOT STACKS CAFE has other food, but we were impressed with the many creative vegan options available! I had the "Shamrock sandwich" and it was a real treat.. Fast and knowledgeable service made this a fantastic experience.. As a matter of fact we will probably hit them up a couple more times before we leave! One warning: This is HOT STACKS CAFE.. NOT.. HOT STACKS PANCAKE HOUSE! Only the CAFE is vegan!

great options, great service - Edit
Came in on a busy morning but we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Had a server as soon as we were seated and our meals (farmhouse bowl and BLT) were ready in about 5 minutes. There were a lot of options for me (strict vegan) and my dad too. The bowl was delicious and somewhat unconventional with a tofu scramble, home fries, and avocado but also asparagus and chickpeas. Definitely will be coming back next time i’m in town.

Great Vegan Breakfast Options - Edit
Hot stacks is a great option for breakfast if you are looking for a place with vegan and vegetarian options. It's not easy to find vegan food in Myrtle Beach. Their menu is clearly marked. I had the vegan blueberry pancakes. They were, but slightly bland. I put a little salt on them and then the flavor was perfect. I also had the hash browns. Those were really good! My husband had the vegan chicken and waffles. So good!

Vegan haven in an anti vegan town - Edit
ONLY the Hot Stacks Cafe at THIS address has the wide vegan menu options.
Read moreTraditional pancake house options with vegan items clearly marked on the menu. Pancakes were ok but would not recommend them if trying to get an omni to see the benefits of vegan food.
I had the tofu burrito. It was good and filling and fruit was fresh but the sausage was so mild I did not taste it. Husband had the vegan chicken club and really enjoyed it. They have specials apparently, too, vegan ones. Other than Bombay on the Beach, the only actively vegan restaurant we have found in town.
Pros: Vegan breakfast and lunch options at same meal, "Traditional" American food in vegan versions, Prices in line with non-vegan meals
Cons: Pancakes & burrito ok but not OUTSTANDING

First Time visitor to Myrtle Beach - Edit
Very pleased to find this gem among the many pancake and waffle options in the Myrtle Beach area. The only one serving delicious vegan pancakes, tofu scramble, vegan sausage and vegan homefries, vegan hash and vegan muffins. They also had non-vegan options like eggs and turkey bacon for non-vegan preferences. beautiful, clean modern decor and fresh fruit served.

Great for dining with non-veg family - Edit
Update- we had another great experience. They updated their menu and now all the vegan options are clearly labeled on the regular menu. Had vegan chikn and waffles and the vegan silver dollar pancakes with chocolate chips and blueberries. So good!!!
Read moreThe “vegan hash” was a bit disappointing as it could have been grilled longer. Really glad this place is so vegan friendly. Definitely will go back next time I visit family.

We had a positive experience here and pleased with the separate vegan menu (which also has gluten free options), and the super friendly staff. I ordered vegan pancakes with a side of hash browns. After the server brought out the hash browns she came running back to the table saying "don't eat those!" after realizing she brought me a version made with butter. The chef promptly brought out another order and apologized for the mix-up. Even thought a mistake was made I really appreciated the prompt attention and that they realized their error before I'd even had a chance to dig in.
After thanking them for the vegan menu options I asked why, and was told the owner (of this location only) is a triathlete who often eats vegan to train.
will definitely go back next time I'm at the beach - my family is non-veg so it's nice to go somewhere for a filling breakfast that I have options too!
Pros: separate vegan menu with several choices, great staff

Back again in 2022 and enjoyed our food. Love that they have so many vegan options especially for breakfast/brunch. Be sure to ask what their vegan specials are.

I was disappointed to learn that only the North Myrtle Beach location offers a vegan menu. The other 2 do not. They do have a gluten free menu for those who need that. I got hash browns and some sauteed veggies.

Nice options, though not always really vegan - Edit
I was looking forward to getting some pancakes here during my weekend in Myrtle Beach. We drove in and found a nice, big breakfast diner with a sunny atmosphere and lots of room.
Read moreOur server was kind and helpful. The menu had a lot of delicious-sounding vegan options, labeled with a little vegan symbol. Sadly, though, when we asked if the pancakes were cooked on a separate surface from the non-vegan stuff, we were told they weren't: all the pancakes were cooked together, except the gluten-free ones, though they contain eggs and dairy.
I was able to get the Shamrock sausage sandwich and hash browns, which are cooked on their own grill. These were pretty good.
But I really wanted some pancakes and I was surprised that a restaurant that goes out of its way to have vegan options and advertise them wouldn't have a contamination-free cooking surface.
Pros: A non-vegan diner that has vegan options right on
Cons: Items labeled vegan aren't really vegan because of

I really love the food here! It's nice to just go out to eat with family (vegan and non-vegan) where everyone will get something to eat. I ordered the Shamrock which is a vegan breakfast sandwich made with Gimme Lean breakfast sausage and has avocado and kale on it. So yummy!

Vegan brunch - Edit
As far as I'm concerned this is one of the best diners with vegan options that I've been to that isn't a vegetarian cafe. Several sandwich and lunch options and vegan pancakes and soy milk. I got the chipotle chicken club with fries and I was really happy. Unfortunately I'm such a savory food person that when I'm given the choice between a sweet/savory breakfast I ALWAYS go savory. I will try next time to go to the pancakes cause I'm never given the treat of sweets. Definitely worth the drive if you're further south in myrtle and you're vegan
