Spectacular! - Edit
Staff was really lovely and made us very welcome and comfortable. Ordered the fully vegan and gluten free breakfast, my hubby the tofu burger. Also green smoothie and a Karma Cola. For dessert, the Ferrero pie. Everything was soooo tasty!!! Highly recommended!!! It is in a hidden spot, but so cool.

Not worth it - Edit
I went in for a Quarter Pounder, but it was completely tasteless. I even tried it separately, but no taste at all.

I find the place do be very expensive for what it offers.
I’m sorry to give a bad review, but my expectations were high and the experience was very disappointing.

Food was delicious. A Ruben sandwich and a soup of the day. Portions are good. They had 5 different cakes on sale, hard to make a choice. They all looked delicious.

Wonderful vegan place in Edinburgh - Edit
I stayed a night in downtown Edinburgh and went to have dinner at the closest vegan place. That was Holy Cow. I ordered a soup of the day, which was made of carrot and potato. It was served with a generous amount of warm sourdough with vegan butter. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was cozy. Altogether a very pleasant experience.

The shop is below street level so a little challenging to find but all the food was great and the staff was friendly.

Encore Performance - Edit
We have eaten both at the restaurant and had delivery. The 2 Muu burgers we have had SO FAR (oyster mushroom and quarter pounder) were phenomenal. We splurged on our first visit and even had some chocolate blueberry cake which was so moist and flavorful. Can’t wait to try their whole menu.

Amazing - Edit
In my opinion, Holy cows serves the best burgers in town! The ambiance of the place couldn't be better for a late night dinner with friends. It's one of my new favorite spots in Edinburgh.

Lovely little place - Edit
Really enjoyed the vibe. Nice people, nice clientele - everyone seemed very friendly. Relaxing music. I had the Reuben Sandwich and side of fries with a breakfast tea and oat milk. All lovely, especially the sandwich. Even the side salad had a lovely pesto dressing on (red onion ever so slightly dry, but could have been a one off). Pot of tea was massive - enough for three! Okay, probably slightly pricey, but I’m happy to pay that little extra when you know you’re going to get good food. Recommended.

… and there isn’t much you can do wrong with that. The burgers are good and they also have tasty dessert options. Tried a Victoria sponge cake for the first time ever and wasn’t disappointed.

The price range here is quite large so it can accomodate a small budget (7.95£ for a basic burger but if you order only sides you can have a meal for cheaper).

This was the first place we stopped for food when we arrived in Edinburgh. The food was perfect for lunch, just a little slow on drinks (think there was a new worker) but the staff were super friendly and apologetic.

I tried their quarter pounder burger and I was honestly blown away. The bread they used was probably the best I'd ever tasted. When I asked about it, they told me that thte restaurant bakes fresh bread every morning in-house.
