Spectacular! - Edit
Staff was really lovely and made us very welcome and comfortable. Ordered the fully vegan and gluten free breakfast, my hubby the tofu burger. Also green smoothie and a Karma Cola. For dessert, the Ferrero pie. Everything was soooo tasty!!! Highly recommended!!! It is in a hidden spot, but so cool.

Favourite Edi restaurant - Edit
This is probably my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, and the restaurant I've been to the most times when I used to live in Edinburgh! I highly recommend their Reuben sandwich and their jackfruit burger! They also have a pretty neat selection of cakes. The atmosphere is cozy, almost like you're visiting an old friend's house. How I miss this restaurant!

A lovely hideaway - Edit
Great option for a quiet times in the city. Carefully put together options - both sweet and savoury. I spent a lovely late Sunday afternoon here recently. Great, mixed crowd. A touch pricey perhaps but the food is a high quality and well presented. #Veganuary

Nice little cafe with good coffe - Edit
I visited Happy Cow last weekend for my boyfriend's birthday lunch. We both had a burger each. I went for Nori burger, he had the quarter pounder. I have tried celeriac with nori before and was excited to eat Happy Cow's take on that, but I was a bit dissapointed, as it didn't have much flavour to it, sadly. Maybe if celeriac was marinated and then wrapped with nori? My partners burger was tasty. Fries clearly made in house, so that's a plus. Coffe was great, I had a soya mocha ,and a smoothie too, freshly made to order. I saw a lovely looking cakes in the glass display, but was too full to try them! Might be coming back on our next visit to Edinburgh to do that ;)

“Holy Cow” - Edit
Well, if I could swear I would, but instead I’ll just say holy cow! Had the “egg” Mayo sandwich and I was blown away! First time I’ve had an egg mayo substitute being vegan and it reminded me of how it used to be, only better! Rest enjoyed this and I cannot wait to be trying more of their food!!! Amazing guys! Thank you 🙏🏻
Read moreEDIT: Had another order again today and was really surprised at the thoughtfulness of this company! I rang to ensure my burger would be GF as I was ordering through Deliveroo.. they couldn’t make it as a GF bun but bread instead and they gave me a little treat! Honestly, cannot be more grateful and thankful to this beautiful place and the lovely staff! ♥️🙏🏻

Holy Tintinnabulation! ... - Edit
A mild mannered place with plenty of vegan punch blasting out from the basement. We had a civilised pot of English breakfast tea and shared a slice of Victoria sponge. You could tell it was GF but was still quite tasty. Next time I’m hitting the array of savoury options.

Nice place - Edit
I really wanted to like this place more as I had read awesome reviews. I think maybe we arrived at a bad time as it was really busy and the wait and service times were long. The tofu burger was nice but not amazing and the carrot lox was yummy but didn’t taste like Salmon if you were hoping it would. The chips were great though! Sandwiches tend to be in small side.
Read morePros: Chips great, Several options, Nice cosy cafe
Cons: Food was ok but not blowing my socks off, Was quite slow service wise, No kids options so had to order an adult meal

A small cafe with sandwiches, burgers and cakes. All the food is homemade which shows, but the selection is a little small as a result. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could

Basic fare - Edit
Nothing too exciting or interesting here, but at least it bears some resemblance to whole foods and the service was pleasant. My tofu sandwich would have been much better with about a quarter of the mayonnaise mixture — the pressed bun was actually pretty enjoyable. Chips were good, though not seasoned. Reuben was good, and the salad in the side was fresh.
Read moreSkip the cakes, though: neither of the two we had had much flavour. They weren’t sweet enough to count as a treat, and the textures were not hugely appetising.

Clean and tidy little restaurant. Friendly staff and good menu. Suitable for shakes as well as burger and chips with everything vegan. Just a bit expensive - the burger and chips would be more reasonably priced at £9 or £10 rather than £13.
