It’s seems there is really only one thing on the menu with some choices of protein/special toppings.

Delicious! - Edit
It is just a tad bit salty, but being able to get hibachi that’s fully vegan is a dream come true! The vegan shrimp and egg were great. The yum yum sauce is amazing! It’s also in such a cute area with other vendors who offer vegan options.

Hippie Hibachi - Edit
3.5 stars. Not bad, a bit salty. Not the best vegan shrimp I've had so I would skip that. The mushroom and impossible are worth trying. It's in a nice location with a few other vegan options at different restaurants.

Great Hibachi in cool Food Court - Edit
It is a little unimpressive stand in a very eclectic food court with some other cool veg friendly or vegan choices. The food was great however and you can order take out or eat in the interesting atmosphere of the Chattahoochee Food Works food court in The Works strip mall.

Ehh - Edit
The food was okay but way too salty. They also need a better system to let people know when your food is ready.

Quick fuel for the fried rice lover. - Edit
A good place for a quick filling meal. I had the shrimp and mushroom combo and had no trouble eating it.
Read moreMaybe because I had just come in from a week of eating dehydrated meals in the Smokies I was expecting to be overwhelmed by wow ... but that didn't happen so I'm feeling let down by my expectations. :(
The portion was more than sufficient, and the shrimp were a tasty treat. There just were not as many vegetables as I was imagining and the spice combo was a mash-up with no progression and no clear winner.
Pros: Great portions; filling, Great service.
Cons: Rice heavy; low vegetable to rice ratio., Hodge-podge of spices. No stand-out.

100% Vegan!!! - Edit
Hippie Hibachi is a 100% Vegan Hibachi food retailer that sits inside the 1235 Makers Building @ 1235 Chattahoochee Ave NW STE 130, Atlanta, GA 30318. It is open a minimum of 7 Days / week from Noon - 8 PM and even until 10PM Thursday - Saturday. We ordered one hibachi dish with tofu, shrimp, egg, and spicy sauce. The other was ordered with Mushroom, Tofu, and YumYum sauce. The food was ready for consumption in under ten minutes, served perfectly hot, and the owner Josh was helpful not only for walking us through the menu but also in recommending other vegan eateries and places for us to day hike. The maker building that Hippie Hibachi is located in is a hotbed for delicious food. Under its roof you can find atleast 20 other unique food vendors with signs of construction for more to come. Despite all of that, I recommend giving your money to hippie hibachi first. Never before have I seen all of my favorites from hibachi restaurants on a 100% vegan menu! Great Work Hippies. 5 Stars👏🏽

Soooo good - Edit
I used to get hibachi all the time growing up, and this tastes just like I remember it. The yum yum sauce is delicious, and I love the variety of proteins they offer. I do wish that it was in an actual hibachi setting where they could make it in from of you. Maybe, once they pop off, they will open up another location where they can do that.

Great hibachi! - Edit
I ordered the hibachi with shrimp. I love vegan shrimp. The food was delicious and filling. My only issue was how cooked the veggies were. I like my veggies to still have a crunch to them…not super soft. But other than that it was good, especially with that sauce they drizzle over!

A Must Try in ATL - Edit
So so happy with my meal here. The staff greeted us with smiles and the wait was reasonable. I had the tofu hibachi and it was so flavorful! The yum yum sauce was so good I had to get extra. I also bought a t-shirt because I was just so happy with my experience! Already dreaming about my next meal.

Finally vegan hibachi - Edit
This place was amazing. I was so happy to finally satisfy my craving for hibachi. The chickn and mushroom hippie plate was incredible, I like that I got the option to try 2 proteins. The sauces are all made there and they were the perfect pairing. If you like spicy you must get the spicy gochu. I cant wait to go back and try something else!

I got the mushroom protein bowl while the person I was with got the shrimp. Both were excellent. Next time, I’ll ask for more veggies and less rice. The service was quick and friendly.

Super delicious! - Edit
Came here on a Saturday and my fiancé and I ordered the tofu and the chik’n hibachi. The wait wasn’t bad at all, maybe took 10 minutes for our food to come out.
Read moreOverall, the food was very delicious! I think I’d get chik’n next time just for the novelty of it. The yum yum sauce was VERY good. If you like spice, get the gochu sauce, because there isn’t any spice to it regularly. I will say, the portion was slightly smaller than expected? Filling, but it was definitely 65% rice, and they were very light on the veggies. Hope maybe we just got the end of some veggies and normally there’s more!
On the plus side, we aren’t overly stuffed and can go grab ice cream or cookies for dessert… 😋 Would absolutely come back and try it again!
