Delicious and COMFORTING - Edit
The food is is so incredibly delicious. The fact that everything is also healthy is a huge bonus. I feel like I’ve had my fill of vegan burgers and wanted something really different… closer to the Earth.
Read moreWith a moderate portion, you get plenty of food.
I felt like this was comfort food without all of the grease or excessive salt that tends to come with that. Everything is really well seasoned, and there is just enough salt in the savory items, which is important because too much salt ruins things for me, but I don’t want to eat bland stuff. Ya know? The food here is perfect.
The coconut pie is a MUST. The texture knocked my socks off. #Veganuary

Eating healthy is easy! - Edit
Himalaya Vegan makes eating healthy easy! Same concept as the Shangri-La line of restaurants in the bay. You choose a full or moderate plate, and it comes with a soup. The food is gluten-free, vegan, and organic. You'll get a green salad, long grain brown rice, beans, steamed vegetables, and sautéed greens. For dessert, they have coconut pie, mango pie, key lime pie, chocolate pie, and Himalaya pie to choose from. I HIGHLY recommend trying the mango pie first, and if you don't like mango, the Himalaya pie is a great choice.

So Delicious !! - Edit
This is one of the best vegan options in the area. I absolutely love the amount of healthy food that you get for the price. Hot tea and water are free and compliments the food perfectly. Although the food may seem repetitive at first glance, the menu does change daily. No plant based burgers or vegan chicken is served here - - But rather a healthy down to basics full regiment of a well balanced meal made of cooked vegetables, beans, steamed collards with sauce, healthy rice and salad.
Read moreIncluded with the meal is a delicious bowl of soup. The meal comes in two sizes- moderate or large. The moderate is a big offering for one person! They also have several homemade pies as desserts to choose from.
The restaurant is mid-sized with a very calm ambiance that includes a gigantic painting of the Himalayan mountains.
Also at the table is an assortment of condiments including a homemade hot sauce with a tasty delivery of heat. The bathrooms are clean and neat.
All things considered, the service provided includes a free dose of loving kindness and a generous portion of gratitude from the owner and staff!

Healthy Vegan - Edit
So many vegan places have offerings that are deep fried and high on salt. The set meal here is so satisfying! It hits the flavor profile but in a healthy and balanced way. Key lime pie was wonderful.

I wish I could drive here everyday! - Edit
My partner and I were driving to NorCal from LA and we are so happy that we found this place and stopped here to try it out. We had the full plate, and it was so much food, but comforting, healthy, and delicious. It’s super fast, ready in 5 minutes for pickup. The chocolate pie is amazing and we love the assortment of kombucha flavors. 10/10, will definitely come here again when we pass through Sacramento in the future.

Love this place - Edit
Food is so good. They switch up menu but it’s very similar every day. I have tried the chocolate & key lime pie & they are amazing. If ordering to go save a few bucks & get the moderate plat. In my experience same size container & portions as the full plat. There is a difference if eating there.

Incredibly healthy and delicious fast food - Edit
Delicious and comforting healthy whole foods. Only one dish served per day so the food comes out very quickly, basically as fast as fast food. I ordered the large size and my gf got the smaller and she wished she had gotten the large.
Read more*The soup had mung beans, lentils, veggies and squash. It was 10/10 delicious and comforting.

Fully vegan place! Music was a little repetitive is my only note, one song played the entire meal.

taste the lovingkindness - Edit
What a joy to find this restaurant tucked away in a little corner of Sacramento! Ordering is made simple by the fact that the menu is predetermined; one only has to choose between the "moderate" size and a larger plate priced a couple of dollars more. As one patron advised me, "get the small plate and get some pie too." Yes, there's pie too. And kombucha, to round out the options. The gentle chef and staff are sweet and welcoming. The organic food is marvelously prepared, flavorful, and healthy. One leaves feeling truly nourished. It's a small, simple, and unpretentious place where one can take the time to savor every bite of lovingly prepared goodeness.

We were lucky to find this place. Amazing meal! - Edit
Traveling through town looking for a healthy meal. From Tibet, these chefs have an amazing concept. Because of some unique dietary considerations, they made it to order with no salt and very little oil. Sauces were incredible. And salad dressing was so fresh and flavorful. All with no dairy or animal products of any kind. They have a rotating menu each day based on the freshest ingredients. It’s a complete meal, soup, salad, greens, vegetables, rice and beans or lentils.

Authentic Tibetan Vegan - Edit
We love the food and the people here. It is true to its Tibetan roots. They serve a plate of five dishes which varies sightly each day. You can also order the individual dishes a la carte. They also serve kombucha and deserts. We have eaten there three times in the last two weeks. There has always been a flavorful legume dish, like lentil dahl or garbanzos, brown rice, steamed greens, steamed vegetables and fresh greens with a wonderful dressings. We did not detect any added oil. The people there are native Tibetan and very friendly. There is a picture of the Dali Lama on the wall and soft music in the background. If any of this sounds good to you, you will like this place very much.
