Menu offers a selection of vegan sashimi and sushi rolls (with mock salmon, eel, avocado...) plus other choices like vegan ramen, tempura, gyoza, hand rolls, katsu curry, and bento sets. Dishes can be made vegan upon request if they're not already. No alcohol, egg, or the five pungents used. Moved to this busy locale on the ground floor in 2011. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-2:30pm, 5:00pm-9:00pm. Last order 2.30pm and 8.30pm.

Decadent sushi but then vegan - Edit
It’s like western decadent sushi but fully veganised. I thought the prices were relatively okay but you could get cheaper food in Singapore. Still, highly recommend!!!

Amazing! - Edit
Absolutely loved the vegan sushi I got here. So healthy and fresh tasting. Vegan sushi is hard to come by in Korea so I was psyched to find this place. Hand rolls are my fav so I got a couple of those and other reviewers who recommended the unagi were so right bc it was delicious! If I lived in Singapore I’d eat here all the time.

Amazing Japanese Vegetarian Food - Edit
Unagi maki roll, age gyoza, and yakitori was out of this world! I tried the spicy ramen, but I wished it had more broth and more spice. Low key went to this place for dinner twice in a row, because it was that good.

My hubby and I will be going for the third time in 6 days. We have loved everything we have eaten and drunk so far- it is a bit pricey yes but you definitely get what you pay for. Food Service is very quick and the staff are very, very friendly.
Read moreThe first time we went, it was so packed we had to sit outside…
I also really really appreciate that you get pictorial evidence/guide of the dishes so you are not left guessing whether you like it based on ingredients alone (slight rant but it is such a simple concept that should be incorporated at ALL restaurants- it also makes it easier to try something new.
Anywho if in the area, I thoroughly recommend!

Completely tasty Bentos - Edit
I went here twice and was thrilled both times with the variety of tastes in the Bentos (had the Unagi Bento and the Katsu Curry Bento). Both filled me up and delivered a great Japanese taste. The Unagi Don in particular had the perfect smoky signature sauce.

Great food! - Edit
Unassuming Japanese vego place in the middle of Bencoolen area. Easy to find in Fortune Center. Herbivore is probably my fave place to eat at in Singapore. I wouldn’t say the best for I have not visited all the veg places in SG. I stayed for 6 days and I barely scratched the surface of plantbased dining. But so far, in those 6 days of eating out, Herbivore is defo on top of my list. Full on flavour, delicious eats, good service. Attentive staff even when they’re packed. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again in the near future.

Japanese delight - Edit
Had lunch here and the food was amazing. The gyoza was crisp and delicious. The ‘pork’ skewers were by far my favourite. The ramen was underwhelming but not bad. Efficient service and good food !

Good Japanese vegan food - Edit
Restaurant itself feels outdated and quite dark. Wasn’t a big fan of that. I arrived before my friend and they made me wait outside for her even though i asked if i could already get seated and brows the menu. Found that a bit bizarre.
Read moreIn the menu they had plenty of vegan options to choose from. We ordered several dishes and really liked gyozas and unagi rolls. Soup was underwhelming in my opinion and tempura that goes with it a bit bland.
I would go again to try the other sushi rolls.

Great sushi but not the rest - Edit
I found this restaurant to be a mixed bag, as some of their dishes was amazing (sushi!) but some of their curries I didn’t like at all and couldn’t finish the dish. Their staff was not helpful, as there was two double orders which we didn’t do and when we explained to them they said we still had to pay for it. So we ended up paying double for two dishes we didn’t order. Was disappointed all in all with the visit

Delicious Japanese Vegan Food - Edit
If you have a difficulty to find a good, tasty vegan sushi, you need to definetialy try Herbivore. It is vegetarian/vegan restaurant and the menu clearly indicates which products contain dairy (they not use egg in any dish), which is very convenient for vegans. I did not asked about option of veganizing any vegetarian dish because there are huge amount of options available. Definetialy will come back to try other dishes!

Many delicious veg/vegan choices! - Edit
Most veg singaporean would have been here! One of the google search pop up for vege foodie~ This restaurant sell Jap vege foodie and we had the below for 60ish sgd. Staff are helpful and restaurant is spacious. Try to make your reservation early as they seems to be fullhouse most of the time when I went. Below foodie are suitable for Vegan too.
Read more✨ Teriyaki Chicken - I find this dish very well presented (like the plating ~ haha !) and ok with this dish... but find it a little salty. Non Veg SJ find this no go as the “meat” is dry and sauce is salty (he is picky mannnn...). We could not finish this. Love the ginger deco tho! Wish there was more ginger hahaha
✨Non dairy spicy ramen - this dish came with dairy but can opt for no dairy. I had this and enjoyed a lot. Love the soup! So flavourful. Thick savoury kind of taste. ~Ask for lesser noodles if you ain’t a big eater as noodles portion is generous. Love the ingredients in it!
✨ Miso ramen- SJ had this and love his soup more than mine... but I prefer mine more hahaa #tasteissubjective
✨ wakame as side - love this. Cause it’s simple yet yummm!
✨Ocha in pot for 9sgd - simple tea drinks and warming...
