Delicious South Indian vegetarian restaurant - Edit
Have been going to this place, sister restaurant of Kayal, for a long time. The food is excellent and the staff are lovely. My only gripe is they seem to have no idea what the word ‘exclusively’ means. They advertise as being ‘exclusively vegan’ and boast about it all over their menu, but they aren’t remotely an all-vegan restaurant. They have some vegan options, yes. But it is most definitely a vegetarian restaurant, with a reasonable selection of vegan options. Our waitress told us last night that none of the wines are vegan, despite some being labelled as such. It’s such a confusing picture, and doesn’t fill you with confidence! The food is lovely, I just wish it actually was a vegan restaurant.

Vegan Thali dinner - Edit
Great selection of dishes on the menu. I opted for the Thali because you get loads of little tastes of the bigger dishes. Not the cheapest curry house in town, but well worth paying a bit extra. Friendly staff and good people-watching from the seats outside. Would come again.

Excellent takeaway! - Edit
I had a herb takeaway this evening full of fragrant, tasty vegan curries. Before the pandemic, I had previously been a number of times to the restaurant and was always happily satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised that the takeaway is just as good!

Amazing set meal - Edit
I go here about once a year with my parents, and it never disappoints. The set meal includes so many different types of curry, all of which are scrummy, as well as lovely breads. This year, I couldn't quite finish it all (there's a lot!) so I took it home and enjoyed it the next day too.

👍👍 - Edit
Lovely restaurant , and really helpful staff , all vegan food is clearly labeled including wines, the food is out of this world , my non veggie friends like it as it just tastes so good, they have a business lunch deal till 5:00pm on a weekday which is great because you get to try a few small portions, and the Dosa's are great deffo recommended them. And food and drink I would say is very reasonably priced. 😊

My favourite Indian in England! - Edit
Amazing South Indian cuisine. SO SO TASTY! One of two places in the area that I would ever bother going for a curry. The staff are extremely friendly and remember me every time and the food itself outstanding. Good portion sizes, fair prices and the tahli always leaves me full and satisfied. A MUST GO. Highly recommend. The interiors and even cups / cutlery are also on point.

Eat here - it's awesome! - Edit
I went here for dinner tonight & had one of their signature dishes. This was a 3 course meal with soup starter, a thali main course & coconut rice desert.
Read moreThe food was exceptional. The main course was huge - 8 separate dishes with bread & rice. All 3 courses for around £17! Wow!
The restaurant was clean & tidy with lovely decor & waterfall built into the wall.
The staff were all exceptionally attentative & polite. They couldn't have been more professional.
I wish we had somewhere so exceptional in London. I can't fault this place & I'm guessing others agree as I visited on a Wednesday evening & nearly every table in the restaurant was full by 8 o'clock. I'd come back to Leicester again just to eat here.
Pros: No meat or fish on the menu. , Loads of vegan options.
Cons: I honesty didn't see or experience any!

Delicious Keralan cuisine - huge range of dishes, all vegetarian and many are or can be vegan too. Their dosa are huge and filled with fantastic fillings and even the vegetable side dishes are perfection.

excellent food and service - Edit
Really interesting menu with super helpful and friendly staff who didn't need to be asked for information on the dishes and brought another dish to complement better one of our choices. It was lovely the food was from one region. I chose the Thali feast and that was huge. I liked everything. We discovered lots of things with only one dish which may be an acquired taste (nice but very different). Made me want to go to Kerala!

Best restaurant in Leicester? - Edit
This must be one of the best restaurants in Leicester, if not the best.
Read moreIt is on Granby Street, very close to the rail station.
Don't confuse it with the Kayal (opposite). The 'Herb' is the better of the two, and it is all veggie/vegan.
You could tell the care that had been taken preparing each dish. Fresh ingredients combined with originality made each dish very tasty.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service.
We will be back.
