Food good, not great options - Edit
I've been here a few times, the food is good but nothing to go crazy about. The oyster mushrooms are really the highlight if you ask me.

Solid asian food - Edit
You get vegetarian asian food at a good price with nice portion size. Lots of vegan sweets in the showcase, but haven’t tried. Didn’t look that appealing wrapped in plastic. Lots of stuff is selfmade in their own facilities. Thats impressive.

incredible Asian food - Edit
Ate here after a long day and devoured some of the best Asian food we have ever had. The sticky rice with bbq tofu was mouth watering; the rice noodles and vegetables delicious; also had egg rolls, pot stickers, and edamame... Thai iced tea and smoothie- it was all outstanding and such reasonable prices. Louisville has a great vegan scene!

One of my favorite choices - Edit
I have eaten here several times both inside and carry out. Each time, I experience the same level of great service as the first. The owner even came to our table to pour the tea and gave insight on several of the dishes.

Great place with lots of vegan options - Edit
This is a great place to eat if you are vegetarian/vegan. I gave it 4 stars not because of any obvious shortcomings, but it just isn't a 5 star like a couple of its competitors in town. They had food to order and also have deli/dessert options to take with you if you were on the go.

best tofu - Edit
When I cook tofu at home I get angry. Angry that I can’t get it anywhere near as good as Heart and Soy’s fried tofu. Is my tofu press not good enough? Is it because they make it fresh with a giant machine you can see working? Maybe it is because they have the collective skills and experience cooking the stuff and I don’t? I don’t know and I don’t care. This place is delicious and wonderfully vegan friendly.

Everything was wonderful - reasonable prices, kind family owners, interesting dishes you may never see elsewhere. The homemade taro root tapioca pudding was a perfect dessert after the absolutely healing spicy noodle soup.

Love it - Edit
I would give this place 6 stars! Everything is vegetarian, and the cashier told us there were only 3 items on the menu that they couldn't make vegan. Bubble tea is also not vegan. We had pad thai, singapore noodles, fried tofu, and egg rolls, and some delicious baked goods. The egg roll filling was well seasoned and tasty! Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.

great desserts - Edit
The food was very enjoyable. Especially liked the Vietnamese sandwich. However, the biggest crowd pleasers were the desserts - carrot cake, ginger whoopie pie and the black forrest cupcake.

The food was fast, fresh, and delicious. I loved the location as well. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable about the ingredients. The egg rolls were SO good and the Singapore noodles were just good! No complaints, I will be back when I'm in town to try the rest of their vast menu.

A new favorite - Edit
Heart and Soy is definitely worth a visit. It is Vietnamese food that you can order quickly, either as some-in or carry-out.
Read moreThe staff is friendly, and the food is fresh. They even have a tofu machine to make tofu right in the restaurant, and you can buy it in a refrigerated case in the restaurant to take home to enjoy. All items in the case are clearly marked whether or not they are vegan, making delicious vegan eating easy to accomplish.
The desserts are to die for -- totally vegan junk food, but worth every calorie nonetheless.
This has quickly become my new favorite vegetarian/vegan restaurant and will likely soon be yours, too!

Well worth the trip - Edit
We live almost an hour away, but any time we are near Louisville, we make a point of eating at Heart and Soy. The food is fantastic and quickly prepared. We always end up taking home something from their desert fridge because we never have room after the meal.

really wonderful - Edit
My husband and I shared the spicy noodle soup, the fried rice, and some vegan spring rolls. Everything was great and I felt like it was a good value for the price. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The girl at the counter asked if we wanted everything vegan and was very helpful. I couldn't stop exclaiming over how good the soup was. We shared a vegan wunderbar for dessert that was great too. This place made me wish we lived in Louisville. We almost went back for dinner!

We've been back five or six times since I first reviewed it, and it has been delicious every time! We take our meat eating relatives and they love it to! They told us sometimes the go when we're not there because it is so good! The spicy noodle soup is still my favorite. I have to get it every time!
Pros: great food , all vegetarian , great dessert
Cons: probably a long wait if busy

worth the trip - Edit
Traveling on i65 through Kentucky and we ordered up some take-out for the trip. About 3 miles off the expressway and well-worth the stop. Both adults and kiddos loved this place. My bacon eater and protein princess couldn't get enough of the pan fried noodles. Our vegetarian daughter devoured the spring roles and pot stickers. We also tried the veggie burrito and fried tofu which we're awesome.

Great little place! - Edit
I'm vegan so I cook at home almost everyday. In this city it's hard to find vegan or healthy options for that matter. Thank goodness for Heart & Soy! My husband and I love everything that we have had there! This is our favorite place! Their food is so fresh and tasty. They make their tofu right in house, as well as everything else. You cannot get a bad meal at Heart & Soy!

Heart and Soul - Edit
The food here tasted amazing.
Read moreI do not prefer tofu generally. The tofu (made in house) here is really good, the best I've ever eaten. I had the Korean Rice Bowl (minus the egg) with brown rice (plus) and the flavors were sensational (I'm sure an over easy egg on top would send this over the moon). Warning if you don't like spicy, this one will sneak up on you on the back end -- I loved it.
I also had a cup of their house oolong ginger lemongrass tea. Another flavor sensation.
This will not get 5 Cows because I prefer to see a list of the ingredients in each menu item. The menu was not informative to the contents of each dish making it difficult to decide what to order. Eventually I just asked what the best thing was. As previously mentioned: was not disappointed.
I didn't like that there was no parking. Not being from the area I had to drive around the block a couple times and I parked on a side street about 1/4 mile away.
Pros: Flavor, Nice place
Cons: No parking?, Uninformative menu
