Quite a few vegan options

Busy & spacious cafe with a few vegan options, great pitstop when on a walk.
I had the vegan toastie (cheese, pesto, mushroom & spinach) which was ok, more of a warm sandwich than a toastie though.
As well as the couple of items on the menu there was also a vegan stew mentioned on the chalkboards.
The pizza truck outside (open on weekends & school hols) has vegan cheese.
Oat milk available & a couple of labelled vegan cakes (mine was tasty).
Very busy & not the best toastie I've had, but great they have labelled vegan options available.

Nice range of vegan options

Just stopped here for tea and cake after cycling along the Monsal trail. Oat milk available for tea, and a few vegan cakes including caramel shortbread. Several vegan options on the menu including vegan cheese for jacket potatoes, vegan burger, tofu and avocado toast.

Not too bad but not was it was a few years ago

It was OK, not great. One of the too busy tourist places to eat. Used to be much better. OK vegan options. Food came not warm enough, even the soup. Bread very average to slightly below average, food average. I'm local and don't normally like places that are so tourist marketed and wouldn't bother again. Not horrible, and great for families and people visiting the trail. A nice walk out of Bakewell too. Toilets weren't great either. I think it suffered really with too many visitors. Not enough care given to the quality of the food for me. But, great for other types of customers. As a local, I won't visit again If stumbled across it while away I would have been grateful for the vegan options to refuel. Many years ago it seemed to have a bit more love in the place and more passion for the food. Seemed to be missing now.

Pros: Some vegan options, Good location, bikes, horses, Plenty of inside/outside space

Cons: Food very average, Service rushed

Great

Visited here with a big group of friends after a walk, and was pleasantly surprised by how many vegan options there were. Small bites, larger meals, sweet treats, and hot drinks. All I tried was really nice too, would definitely recommend it if in the area! #Veganuary

Pros: Loads of options, Good price , Great location

Fantastic vegan options

Visiting the area on holiday and hadn’t seen much choice for vegans until we stopped here. At least three different cakes available and oat and soya milk options for drinks. There were plenty of lunch options inc toasties, salads and burgers. I indulged in a delicious and huge slice of carrot cake with an oat milk chai latte-delicious!

Pros: Lots of vegan choices, Gorgeous surroundings , Vegan marshmallow teacake by till

5 stars for the vegan options!

This place is our favourite place to visit on holiday in this area!

The vegan options are all delicious, the staff members are friendly, the location is great for walkers, people on a bike doing the Monsal trail or people with cars.

The shop is also a treat to visit with interesting books of the area, souvenirs and other beautiful things.

Lovely little stop on Monsal Trail

Stopped here whilst walking the Monsal trail when in the area. Had a few vegan options on the menu. Food was good and service pretty quick considering how busy they were. You can order from your table and everything is brought to you so super convenient. Highly recommend!

Great cafe

Located at a former railway station meant this cafe immediately has character. With a great indoor and covered outdoor seating area.We wanted to grab a bite to eat after hiring bikes to ride along the old railway line and I was pleasantly surprised by the range of vegan options available. I chose the oreo cake but there were several other vegan cakes to choose from. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Pros: Several vegan options , Great location

Cons: Limited serving time for savoury options
