Wonderful dinner - Edit
We had a wonderful dinner here. The mushroom stroganoff was very nice and filling. The vegan reuben was very good too, just sloppy to eat. GThe Harlow Salad was great, the kale was well massaged. Service is very friendly. The restarurant is very informal, you order from the counter. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.

Amazing Mac and cheez - Edit
The Mac and cheez at Harlow was amazing. I was worried because I don’t like Daiya cheese, but whatever else they add to it totally changes the flavor and texture. It was the best vegan Mac and cheese I’ve had. It was also gluten free, but you’d never know it. I was also excited when my husband asked for “vegan butter” and the waitress only had to ask the cook for butter because they now only use vegan butter.

A "Hit the Spot" Kinda Place - Edit
I was in the mood for healthy, delicious food and was rewarded perfectly. My partner and I ordered several dishes and shared them--all were fantastic and presented nicely. The atmosphere was one of simple refinement. The only sticks were the lack of gluten-free desserts and that the entire menu isn't vegan.

Beautiful brunch - Edit
Great service, delicious food. We had green chilli corn cakes with smoked tempeh, and walnut flapjacks with almond butter, the Rita juice ginger, mushroom force steamer and a Harlow latte. Interesting that all coffee is cold brew. The setting is spacious and kitsch. Very cool. Parking right outside too.

Splendid! - Edit
Lovely building. A bit of a wait in line to order, but well worth it. Staff at the counter was very friendly and funny! Definitely appreciated the attitude!! Food came out promptly and looked delicious! I had the ranchero dish with jackfruit and my partner had the outlaw scramble with smoked tempeh. The rancheros were packed with flavor, would absolutely order again. My partner who is not vegan, loved his dish as well! Will definitely return!

First off, the decor is very beautiful and hip. We were also greeted by a very nice man behind the counter who helped us with any questions and the food came out fast. I got the walnut flapjacks and my boyfriend got the outlaw scramble with tempeh and quinoa. Both were delicious!

Gourmet Vegan Cuisine - Edit
Harlow's entrees are subtly seasoned, with a mix of flavors combining to make a delicious experience that rivals and traditional meat-based cuisine with none of the guilt! Vegetables are fresh and cooked to perfection. I loved the creamy mushroom stroganoff and took many bites of the spinach enchilada my husband ordered. The juices had a great layer of flavors for a deep, rich taste. The generous pour of wine was delicious and obviously selected by someone who knows wine.
Read moreThe staff was kind, friendly, patient in explaining ingredients and answering questions, and fast and attentive. No attitude or aloofness here.
While I appreciate every vegan and vegetarian restaurant in my town, too often we're stuck with a lump of quinoa or brown rice and a gob of barbecue sauce, and a beverage list that's an afterthought. Harlow's offers an actual culinary experience.
Pros: Tasty, subtle flavors, Fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables, Great staff
Cons: Informal setting--the gourmet food deserves table, service and tablecloths!

Holy jack fruit! - Edit
I have been wanting to try jack fruit for a long time and was thrilled Harlow offers it in many dishes. I had the outlaw scramble and it was incredible (and healthy too!) Our food was ready impressively quickly. The portions are very large and my only regret was that I didn't share because I was full the rest of the day (which interfered with my quest to eat everything vegan in Portland).
Read moreWe showed up for breakfast around 8:15am on a Saturday and was able to get a table no problem. By 9am a bigger line was forming.
Restaurant has a cool (kind of rustic and hip) atmosphere.

delicious! - Edit
I had heard a few good things about this place and wanted to stop by on my way through Portland. My non vegan boyfriend & I had the vegan (& gluten free I must add) Mac n cheese and we were both pleasantly surprised by how well it tasted! On top of all that, the costumer service was spot on! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone in the area, the prices were good too, only $7.50.

cute vegan friendly cafe - Edit
This place was basically all vegan except for having the option of adding eggs to the breakfast dishes. Everything is gluten free. You walk in and order and then pick your table. I ordered a garlic and herb polenta with seasoned jackfruit and a red velvet cocoa. They were both great and not too heavy. Definitely recommend for vegans and non vegans as well. Great brunch spot.

good quality, small quantity - Edit
My wife and I paid ~12/each for our meals and they tasted amazing. I got the Mac and cheese (vegan) and she got the bbq tempeh platter. The food was excellent tasting/quality, but for $12, we both were expecting like 50% more, especially when Sweet Hereafter is practically down the street
