Favorite bakery!

This bakery is completely vegan and they use natural ingredients. I always go here for special occasions and just when I'm in the mood for desserts. Definitely my favorite place for vegan desserts. On Saturday mornings they have donuts. I come here from Kentucky just for those donuts and cupcakes. They always have friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be a returning customer for years to come.

Pros: Everything vegan , Delicious and natural desserts

Good but busy

Summary:
Nice people, good food, nice space, but for our visit it was understaffed and we got little to no service.

Details:
My family of 4 vegans dropped in here for a Saturday breakfast during an overnight stay. All the tables were taken so we sat at the bar. We had the emily sandwhich, breakfast sandwhich, the breakfast sandwhich on a croissant, the greens sandwhich, chick nuggets, pudlas, cherry and almond donuts, and coffee. The prices are reasonable but the portions are also fairly small to match the price.

Convenient parking across the street, cute place, friendly staff, a nice but not huge selection of tasty baked goods, sandwhiches ranged from excellent (emily) to ok (beakfast), the chick nuggets were a bit crumbly and just ok, the pudlas were tasty but dry and there wasn't enough of the fantastic chutney to compensate, and the coffee was good.

When we arrived at 10:45a the line was 2 people and before we ordered it was 10 deep The service we did get was ok, but the busy-ness of the place made it impossible to get any additional service. My daughter never got her tea (that could have been ordering confusion though as it seems beverages were all self serve), nobody told us about the self serve water so we went without water, I was told about the self serve coffee when I ordered, so I was able to get got my coffee.

I think if there was another person on staff our vist would have been fantastic.

Pros: All vegan, Tasty food

Cons: Very busy resulting in poor service

Lovely casual brunch

I came here with some non-vegans for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. You order at the register and then find a table. If you’re hungry, I’d recommend ordering two dishes or a dish and a side, since portions aren’t huge. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was really good.

Fresh Cupcakes for Days!

I stopped in here to grab cupcakes while visiting family in Cincinnati and decided I was hungry, so I had an almond butter and jam croissant. I expected a tiny croissant. It was HUGE and delicious! I left with half a dozen cupcakes and they were still moist four days later. Highly recommend. Try the peach lambic.

Pros: Lots of flavors, Eat-in meal options, Affordable

Amazing food and desserts!!!!!

Very cute and comfortable place. The staff/owners are super friendly. The sandwiches were AMAZING!!! My partner and I shared The Breakfast and The Green. I wanted another one of each after I was done. We also shared a biscuit that was delicious! Then we got cupcakes and a cinnamon roll which are also amazing! Highly recommend eating here!!

Delicious

This place is great! We came in looking to get some goodies to take back to our hotel, but discovered that they offered lunch as well, so we sat and shared "The Green" and "The Breakfast" sandwiches for lunch. Both sammie's were DELICIOUS! Then we picked out some cupcakes and a cinnamon roll to take for the road. So far I've only had one of the cupcakes, but I can definitely say that the black velvet cupcakes is awesome. This place is a must!

Pros: Great food, fair prices

what a treat!

Lovely decor, feels like a happy place. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and happy to explain menu. My boys loved the cupcakes, I had the veggie sandwich, and tomato soup. It was delicious. My husband tried the sweet potato empanadas, and he loved it. He’s newly vegan and so excited about all the flavors in all the vegan food!

I make a pilgrimage every Saturday morning to Happy Chicks and I never leave disappointed!

Great, no, AMAZING cupcakes, croissants, and other goodies that even my omni friends enjoy! Staff are always very friendly and helpful too.

Bottom line is that I love this place and all others will be measured against it.

Love everything about this minus ethics (they’re plant-based, not vegan)

I love their food! It's so good, and I love that the business is owned by local women. However, they should relabel themselves as plant-based instead of vegan since they encourage their followers to wear Uggs (read: animal cruelty) on their social media posts, which is clearly not representative of a vegan lifestyle.

Updated from previous review on 2017-09-04

Pros: Plant-based, Local, Women-Owned

Cons: Promotes use of Uggs, Not Open to Suggestions, Lack of Parking

Delicious

Split the most delicious veggie biscuit sandwich here with a non-veg, who was as equally impressed as I was with the absurdity of how delicious the biscuit specifically was (gf as well). We were so excited, also picked up a few cupcakes for the evening and loved them as well. Nice staff, cozy atmosphere. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Delicious Food

What a find!

I just started working in Northside a few weeks ago and since Melt is super vegan friendly and right next door, I have spent many happy lunches there. Today I ventured out and found this place on accident. I had a great lunch with sweet potato tomato soup, "chick" nuggets, and a cupcake. The inside is quite nice & inviting and everyone working there was very nice. It will be a regular lunch spot for sure

Pros: good food, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff

Cupcakes! and Lunch

I am so happy there is a vegan bakery in Cincinnati with a store front! Ok, first the two women that own it are amazing and I love seeing their faces.

The cupcakes are my favorite. Chocolate for me. Many people don't know that they serve lunch. The quiche, empanadas, veggies and dip and chickpea nuggets are my faves.

I have also ordered cakes here for a couple of birthdays. Both were really great. I ordered an opera cream cake for my partner and he loved it. I got a halloween cake for my birthday and it tasted so good.

The dining room there is so pretty. I think it's shabby chic? It's bright white and totally a great place to catch up with friends. They also have drip coffee. And gluten-free options on the lunch menu and gluten-free baked goods if you order ahead.

Pros: cupcakes, lunch, very pretty dining room

Their cookies & cupcakes are awesome!

I can't speak to everything they make but I have been buying their cookies and cupcakes since before they opened their Northside storefront. I can't say enough good things about how delicious they are! I have never had anything they made I didn't like. My favorite cookies are the Turkish Coffee Chocolate Chip. Their cupcakes are small and dense but packed with flavor. I especially love the Ginger Chai cupcake.

Pros: delicious treats, friendly staff

Cons: those quality ingredients make for a hig
