A little to expensive, for the performance

The Food was good, but not unbelievable good.
We had the Seitan Steak it was good.
The sausages wasn’t that good.
The “croquettes” were unbelievable good.

Desert was also really tasty.

Pros: Large Vegan Menu, Friendly Staff , Healthy cooked

Cons: Too Expensiv

Central Vg heaven

Large menu from obvious non Vg food choices to healthy salads and great desserts

Pros: 100% Vg 😊, Shady tables or inside seating too

High culinary experience! Slovenian traditional dishes - vegan.

Best vegan restaurant in Slovenia - hands down! I've been coming back and they always deliver amazing results, which is what sets apart a mediocre from a good restaurant.

They do more than justice to traditional Slovenian dishes, which are veganised (some vegetarian options can be made vegan).

Bring your non vegan friends and family, and they definitely won't miss meat or dairy - heck, they won't even believe that everything is vegan.

Only complaint goes to the sausages which are a great and innovative attempt - they hit the spot on the taste but fail in the structure.

Some main dishes are a bit bigger than others, but with an apetizer, salad and a dessert you will be more than full in the end.

They use wheat gluten meat, so most of the food is not gluten free. But everything is soy free, even the deserts and cream sauces.

Pros: Veganised Slovenian traditional dishes (gibanica)!, Always next level quality!, Higher culinary experience!

Cons: Bit pricey, but it's worthy for what they offer!

super confusing

This is NOT an all vegan restaurant. The menu is very confusing to understand. I asked the server about it so he helped me out, basically anything can be veganized if you ask. I had some delicious Slovanian food , but it is a bit expensive.

Traditional Slovenian

Most of all, I appreciated that Gujzina’s existence and atmosphere. There is at least one vegan option under every section of the menu (appetizer, stew, salad, pasta, sausages, steaks, and desserts).

I ordered the spread plate, the borjac stew, and the gibanica (Slovenia’s beloved dessert).

The plate’s seitan had perfect texture, was very finely sliced, and a little bit of seasoning. I wish the seitan had been seasoned more and while I enjoyed the pepper spread at first, the spread’s fatty coconut butter base eventually became unpleasant. Better for 2-4 people.

The small Borjac soup was quite flavorful, though also oily. You could taste the tomato, garlic, and “beef”. For the “small” price, it was very hearty. I saw that others ordered the pastas, which looked generous in size and flavor.

The gibanica was the crown jewel of the meal. I had heard of this layered dessert before and was glad I could get the non-certified vegan version. Don’t miss out on it! Idefinitely recommend checkin this place out!

Nice concept, way too expensive

The food was sadly really expensive and without spices for my taste. It took long to arrive and we were offered bread and olive oil.
The waiters were all lovely but it is mainly a pricy restaurant ' 17 euros for a seitan steak with potatos seems unreasonable

Pros: The idea of a vegan restaurant , Waiters

Cons: Expensive

Not for me

After a raining day we stopped to eat at Gujzina. When we got there we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waiter would disappear into the back most of the time, he looked bored and didn’t make us feel welcome.
The food wasn’t for me. I had the three different sausages, they were very dry and fell apart with every bite. It was like I was eating dry grains instead of a sausage. The flavors weren’t too bad, but it was just not for me. My friend had the gnocchi and it was heavy and not that good. The people next to us ordered there famous cake/dessert and they seem to like it. Maybe we just ordered the wrong food. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: Staff was really unfriendly , Food was pricy. , The restroom is in the restaurant next door

Not adviced

Lots of options, but honestly we didn't like neither the sausages plate with soup nor the potatoes, which tasted uncooked. It's also very pricy for the quantity (and obviously too much for the quality).

My first time eating a steak! 😂

I was positively surprised cause I don’t enjoy the taste of meat at all but here the dishes were actually very nice and I’m really happy that I got to taste original Slovenian cuisine.

Went there with three meat eaters and they loved Borac the most.

Steak didn’t resemble the original one (as I was told by my companions) but for me it was great. Very delicate with a nice sauce.

the potatoes are AMAZING

Wonderful local cuisine made vegan!

Great place to taste traditional Slovenian dishes without giving up one's morales!!
Amazing variety and delicious food that definitely made up for the lack of signs as to where the restaurant is exactly, as it's split in two different but close buildings, which made for a confusing first visit.

Pros: 100% vegan, Great variety

Cons: A bit hard to find

Nice place to eat: try the ''ham'' platter!

Had a three course diner at Güjzina. The ''ham'' platter we had as a starter was soooo good! As a main we had the ''steak'' with mushroom sauce and as dessert a piece of chocolat pie.

Pros: Friendly staff, Nice vibe

great for hearty meals

We enjoyed a starter platter, three sausages, the potato dish with mushrooms as well as the stew. Everything was great and left us full and happy.
But the service took a bit long that day and many guests left because of it before ordering. But we were not in a rush so we stayed and the food was worth it.

Mainly Vegan

Had the „sausage“ with mustard and horseraddish and potatoes. Liked it a lot as a Snack!

A Little Bit overwhelmed about the variety of the vegan menue. Regional Food adapted for vegans and vegetarian.

Would have liked to try other dishes, too. But we stayed only a few days in the City.

Pros: Very many vegan dishes, Normal prices

Not excellent, but good food and friendly staff

What we tried (bograč soup with seitan, dumplings, vegan sausage with potatoes in flaxseeds) was not excellent, nevertheless good enough food. Importantly, they offer several vegan options in all types of food: appetizer, main dish, dessert and they are easy to find on their menu. The waitress was very nice and helpful, she even advised us about not to order a certain combination because they are big portions. So, this is a good place to try some Slovenian food in their veganazed version.

Pros: friendly waitress, several vegan options in all kinds of dish

Cons: none of the meals was especially tasty
