Nice concept, confusing menu - Edit
Really liked trying some traditional(ly inspired) slowenian food - without the meat. However I found it a bit irritating that some vegan/vegetarian meals were marked to contain fish (allergenes) for example.

Gujzina restaurant/Green One - Edit
Lovely Slovenian traditional dishes, it is hard to choose from the menu, all look delicious. It seems to be the same restaurant as Gujzina restaurant (which is not completly vegan - here on HappyCow marked as vegetarian), they share the terrace and staff 🤷🏻♀️ which is kind of confusing. The food is delicious though and staff attentative and helpful. It is not cheap for the portion sizes but deffinitely worth it.

Piatti tradizionali vegan - Edit

Lovely place with traditional food - Edit
One of my tourguides recommended me to visit this place for lunch, since dinner is always fully booked. And I do understand why: the food is delicious. I really liked the potato cakes as well as the strudel with cherries.
Read moreI have to mention that this is not a fully vegan place, but everything is at least vegetarian and the ingredients are clearly marked on the menu.
This staff was very friendly and seemed to work pretty hard, so I didn't mind the extra wait.

Worth the wait - Edit
This would be a five star review for the food alone, which was amazing. Service was good too. However let down by dishes being very slow to arrive: a full hour between starters and main course. Clearly the kitchen was overwhelmed, but they were still giving tables to new arrivals. Keep the faith! It's worth the wait.

Traditional & vegan - Edit
I generally love this emergence of traditional and vegan Food. The red soup was really great, the one served in a copper bowl. The sausages were good . the Menu could be more clearly/ arranged better. One of the best places to eat out in Slovenia :)

Quality of the dishes is not equal - Edit
We really loved the stew with the potato cakes, but the sausages and strudel were ok. The organisation of the restaurant is a bit confusing. Not everything on the menu is vegan (some dishes are vegetarian). But the allergens are clearly labelled. The staff works really hard, but it seems that their organisation is not as efficient as could be. This results in longer waiting times.

Loved to try traditional (vegan) Slovenian food and very friendly staff - Edit
We went here for breakfast because I wanted to try Slovenian food. The woman working there was helping us understand the menu which was very friendly. We tried the vegan ham with vegan dips and it was very filling. Because we had some dips and ham over the woman gave us more bread to eat with :)
Read moreI would recommend to go there in the afternoon or evening because they have more options at those times. But I know there’s a line in the evening so if you don’t wait in line the morning is the best time to go (though it’s definitely worth waiting for in my opinion)

This place always has a long line, get here early! I loved being able to have traditional Slovenian dishes that were vegetarian and vegan. I had the bograč and dödöle, both were excellent. Highly recommended if you like to try local foods.

If you are looking for Slovenian food that’s your place. Attention: it is expensive (not how it seems to be in the profile). It depends on what you take of course but a small menu for two costs 40€. It is really enough for one meal.

Salty - Edit
We had the mushroom soup for start, the turnip with sausages and the buckwheat with mushrooms. The mushroom soup lacked taste and was too salty. Buckwheat was healty but lacked taste, and sausages also no taste. Turnip soup was ok but salty. We loved the idea of slovenian dishes made vegan but needs to develop taste. Also the price was way too high for this quality since we paid 50 euros for a lunch for two.

Nice traditional food - Edit
We were pleasently surprised by all the vegan options of the traditional dishes. They were also very tasty! Staff was friendly.
Read moreThe menu was well structured, however it was difficult to decipher what the ingredients were in the dishes. A bit tricky if you want to know what youre getting.
One of the dishes I tried was with bulgur. The flavour was nice, but sadly 95% of the dish was bulgur.. Could use some more seitan or vegetables. The dish was also big enough to feed two people😅
I found it a bit expensive for the quality of food. Nonetheless happy that we had dinner here!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Traditional dishes
Cons: Menu was not very clear, A bit pricey

Disappointing - Edit
It's interesting to have options that you wouldn't find in many other places, like the dark vegan steak in green pepper sauce, which I had. It's also nice to try traditional Slovenian dishes because often veg*n restaurants tend to serve American cuisine, which is nice but trying local food is all part of the travel experience.
Read moreHowever, the food wasn't actually all that good. The sauce I had with the steak was way too salty. It came with these potato croquette things, which were good, but I think the plate definitely needed some greens with it. I think it's very expensive for the portions and quality you get. The service was also really slow when I was there, despite it not even being busy.
Pros: Options you wouldn't find in many other places, Traditional dishes veganised
Cons: Really quite expensive for what you get, Far too salty, Very slow service
