Super chill and friendly - Edit
This place is a true gem, it is located 5 minutes away from the Mirabel Schloss in the residential area, it is small and cozy and beautifully decorated, with vegan activism-themed art and books. The owner is really friendly and chill and I really liked that whole non-pushy vibe, we were tired from sightseeing all day and it was a beautiful place to relax and have great food at. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich and it was delicious, and you get a side salad as well. It was 9 euro. There was this one ingredient resembling paste and it had a really fishy taste, but forgot to ask what it was, maybe somebody knows?

You should make a trip to Salzburg just because of this restaurant. The food was epic, the staff was super friendly and everything was just excellent. Definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to!

Amazingly good and very friendly. - Edit
This place is simply great - we (as a family of five) were there for a prolonged breakfast and took the chance to enjoy nearly everything on the menu + get some sandwiches to go for the long way home.
Read moreGustaV represents well balanced recipes, a good mixture of more and less healthy vegan food and a genuine vegan spirit (see the shelf-store inside or the displayed art in the restaurant).
We enjoyed every one of the 120 minutes and recommend this place to every interested traveler.

Amazing food for a fair price! - Edit
I ordered the sandwich of the month, with pesto, cashew mozzarella, tomatoes and onions. It looked great and tasted even better. Also had a nice glass of Pedacola. It costed me less than 15 euros. Definitely recommend!

Cute and cozy with great food - Edit
I was only planning on getting a cup of tea because I had an upset stoma, but the special (a beetroot and mixed veggie stew) sounded too good. I'm really glad I had a bowl. It was filling, delicious, and it was easy on my stomach, a sign of good clean cooking.

Anazing food and very friendly service - Edit
I have just spent the past 2 days in Salzburg and this place was so good I went both days! The red velvet latte and vegan french toast would have to be my favourites but the sandwhich and raw cake I had was also amazing! The food also not only tasted but looked beautiful and the service was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely check this place out if you are in Salzburg, you won't regret it!

Highly Recommended, Get the French Toast! - Edit
As a vegan, it’s tough to find places to eat when you’re traveling sometimes. Vegetarian? Usually plenty of options. Vegan? Not so much. So we thanked our lucky stars when we came across Cafe Gustav. Absolutely delicious food (the french toast was ridiculously delicious), Terrific and super friendly service. And some unique dishes that are a bit of fusion between traditional Austrian dishes and American dishes. Also, make sure to get the smoothies and latte's! Highly recommended!

Great vegan option in Salzburg - Edit
I visited Salzburg during the holiday season and visited Gustav twice during my four day stay. The cafe is cozy and inviting. There are regular menu features and daily specials. I had the veggie burger and a Mediterranean themed sandwich with a balsamic glaze that were both tasty and hearty. The service staff was also extremely friendly and even gave me recommendations for vegan restaurants to visit in Prague. I highly recommend Gustav while in Salzburg. It shouldn't be missed!

Amazing french toast and burger! - Edit
GustaV is a small restaurant serving the most amazing vegan French toast I've had! Their beetroot veggie burger with homemade potato "cheese" sauce is divine! I definitely recommend you book a spot here for lunch! The restaurant is quite small so get their early to book your spot :-)

tasty lunch - Edit
This place is a little oasis of calm and joy; a nice small selection of breakfast and lunch dishes available all day. I had the scrambled tofu breakfast which was really good, and my partner had a tofu Mediterranean sandwich. not cheap (both about 9 euros) but really decent vegan food. Also had a cake which was really good but maybe slightly dull. The lady running it was extremely friendly and helpful, and willing to translate the menu for us.

Excellent meal! - Edit
Beautiful setting for a summer lunch meal on the sidewalk overlooking a tree covered hill. The seitan sandwich and the tofu scrambled were delicious and fully vegan. Denise was our server, extremely helpful explaining in English the menu that was only in German.

lovely little bistro - Edit
Very nice little place with lovely owners ! The menu is little but they offer good quality food. The prices are a bit higher compared to other nice places in Salzburg. My raw cake was 4,50euro whereas you easily get it under 4 euro at other places. Still I can recommend it as its a very unique vegan bistro.

A needed addition to the Salzburg scene - Edit
We went there for lunch on a Saturday and were lucky enough to get a table (the place is tiny but very cosy). We had a soup with bread, which was very nice, and two different sandwiches - which consisted in a ciabatta bread, a patty, sauces and salad - and they were both delicious! We even had a couple of beers (a hemp beer and a low-alcohol one) and they were pretty good, too. We finished in style with two pieces of cake (one being raw and probably the best of the two) and a very good coffee. The waitress was extremely nice and we had a good chat. I would definitely recommend it and will be back as soon as possible!
