The heart of vegan Clinton Hill - Edit
Along with Clementine and Izzy Rose, Guevara’s completes the trifecta of vegan establishments all within a stone’s throw of each other in this Clinton Hill micro neighborhood. All three have a fully vegan menu, Instagram ready looks, and plenty of appealing outdoor seating (the latter being obviously critical in Covid times!). While Izzy rose is more of a bar with some food, and Clementine is more of a pastry and sandwich shop, Guevara’s is more of straight up coffee shop with some pastry and light food options. Plus the requisite selection of houseplants, appealingly curated home goods, and a smattering of vegan pantry items. Their blt type breakfast sandwich is pretty good, and just greasy enough to take me back to the days when I used to eat the real thing. My one quibble is the garishly pepto bismol-esque shade of pink paint chosen for the decor—I can’t be the only person who’s instantly reminded of nausea medicine every time I walk in!!

Amazing vegan cafe/grocery/gift shop/plant store - Edit
Guevara's has everything! Food, coffee, pastries, plants, candles, other home goods, and some groceries (plant milks, cheeses, that kinda thing), all in a super cute space.
Read moreI've been making my way through the menu and everything is delicious from the chocolate croissants to the conchas to the sandwiches. The staff is super lovely and the inside is a nice place to hang out - or the big outdoor terrace in nice weather!

A super cute bakery/brunch spot with an insta-worthy covered outdoor eating area. The empanadas are tasty and the conchas are not only delicious but also the brightest shade of pink ive ever seen.

Great spot - awesome food, staff and atmosphere . A lovely coffee and plant/grocery shop. Torta sandwiches, empandes, donuts and baked goods.

Guevara’s has a lot of outdoor seating, and when I went on a Saturday afternoon it was totally full — definitely a neighborhood favorite!
Read moreThey run out of empanadas early in the day so I recommend getting there before 12. They have fun options and the whole set up is great.
I will say that I kept thinking of the song “Che Donald’s o Mac Guevara’s” when I went 😂 But I digress. Overall highly recommend!

Read moreI had the bacon egg and cheese which was okay but definitely go for the torta milanesa, My friends got it and I tried it and it was definitely the more interesting and delicious sandwich. I also tried the guava cheese empanada, dulce de leche donut, Chai tea and cinnamon babcka. All of these things tasted amazing.
Support this place, it's fantastic.
Pros: Both a restaurant and a store , Amazing vegan donuts , Savory items on the menu are also great

from the moment i saw it on the corner i knew i loved it. i just moved around the corner and i’m so so happy to have this place nearby. the chickpea empanada and torta milanesa SLAPPED! so good. will be back again and again, so should you 😌
