Healthy Vegan - Edit
1st time here. Outdoor seating available. Small parking area available also. Variety of options - bowls, burgers, dogs, sandwiches, wraps, salads, sweets and even premade prepared meal plans. Friendly staff. I had their tofu bowl. Decent portion size. Tasted healthy and fresh. For me, it was missing a sauce. I also had black bean feta wrap. Good size. Again fresh and healthy tasting. Again lacking a little something. The food was good. Again lots of options to keep you coming back. I would try other item menu options next time around.

Friendly Staff. Superb, Decadent Food Options. - Edit
As another commenter mentioned, Grounded for Life Café, with its light green signage and entrance, is easy to spot. I relished their "Fakin' Egg and Cheez" and "The New Yorker" (Bagel / Vegan Cream Cheese / Avocado / Capers / Tomato / Red Onions). Their Organic Hot Chocolate and Chai Latté were satisfying complements to those breakfast-style dishes.

Delicious breakfast sandwich - Edit
A friend recommended this cafe for a quick bite and it did not disappoint! We stopped in on our way to an animal sanctuary tour in the area. It's a cute, small cafe and service was quick and friendly, we ordered ahead, got the most popular item on the menu which is the FAKIN' EGG & CHEZ (toasted bagel, two vegan eggs, vegan cheddar cheese, fakin bacon, ketchup for $10.99)... It was delicious, next time in the area we will definitely stop in again.

Kid friendly! - Edit
My family enjoyed lunch at this cafe on a recent weekend. My kids had grilled cheese and aveggies dog. I enjoyed my black bean feta wrap. We walked around town and then came back for a fine selection of Vegan Treats desserts.

Meh, I Expected Better - Edit
After reading mostly positive reviews about this place, I had high hopes. I drove out of my way to stop here for lunch before working a later shift one day last week. Here are my thoughts: I ordered a bowl that was supposed to contain black bean "mash" and vegan cheese (along with several other ingredients) -- it didn't contain either of these things, but I didn't realize it until after I was done eating. When I went back inside to let them know, the woman working there did the right thing and gave me a to-go container full of black bean mash. There was half a bruised avocado sliced on top of the bowl -- past its prime, but luckily still tasted okay. I also ordered a smoothie that I was not too thrilled with -- the taste was good, but it was nearly room temperature. Since I was heading into work, I just stuck it in the fridge when I got there so that I could drink a cold smoothie a couple hours later. Lastly, even though I stated that the order was "for here" (I ate outside at one of their tables), everything was served in disposable plastic containers 😕 I really don't enjoy giving negative reviews for places, but for nearly $30 for a meal, it just isn't worth it.

Tiny but yummy! - Edit
Really good little vegan restaurant in a super cute town! The restaurant is small with only 3 tables and some stools inside. There are more tables outside with a good amount of seating. They serve breakfast, burgers, salads, wraps, smoothies, desserts, and more! We had a wrap, burger, hot dog and smoothie and enjoyed everything! The best was the Rocket Fuel protein smoothie. My only suggestion for improvement is to have more topping included for the hotdog which would make it really awesome. But overall I really enjoyed it here and will go back😄

Charming little place with great food - Edit
I’ve never been to Clinton before. By the Delaware, pretty little town , worth a visit. But, well to be honest I came to check out GFL Cafe. Very glad that we did!! I had the Fakn egg sandwich on an everything bagel. My wife had the burger with various sauces. We both enjoyed the fare. To quote my spouse ‘the menu is vast’. It’s a quaint place off on a side road. Although in December it was warm enough to eat outside with our best friend. Staff was pleasant and stopped by to greet our dog…. Extra plus for them !!!

Superb Little Spot 🌱 - Edit
Ordered the ‘Raw Wrap’ ‘Cajun Tofu Wrap’ as well as 2 ‘Revive Me’ Juices, all was delicious and the staff were nice as well as hard working, there was a long line practically out the door because just steps away was an annual rubber duck festival on their river.
Read moreWe ordered 2 Large revive me juices as said above but when they came out they were actually regular size, after telling the staff they upgraded us to the size we paid for, no issue.
Went for healthy options today^ and was delighted to find they were just what I was looking for, but will have to return someday to try their other seemingly more savory options that were tempting but just not the mood for us.
Recommend trying this place out, owner even spanked our butts and told us to go to our room because we’re grounded for life. Kidding of course

I've been a regular since they opened several years ago and have never been disappointed. It recently changed ownership and the new owner has expanded the menu. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, they are all excellent and made in house. Some of their deserts a brought from a vegan bakery, and all those choices are excellent as well. Staff is professional and friendly, the place is spotless. Parking is plentiful. Outdoor tables only.

Delicious Coffee and Chickpea Salad! - Edit
I stopped in for a delicious iced coffee with almond milk. Grounded For Life Cafe has been completely vegan for the past 2 years after they stopped serving (local) eggs and milk. Their Chickpea of the Sea salad, which I have had in the past is terrific!
