Good Food, Great Staff and location - Edit
This place is in a great location and has unbelievable variety of food, desserts, and pastries. You can eat here everyday and not exhaust all varieties even in a month! The servers are very helpful and will point out things for you, even if they don't speak much English. Its cheaper here to take food-to-go. Similarly, this is a great place to get food packed for trips to Santiago or Bariloche.
Read moreHowever, don't go here if you have been to traditional Govindas anywhere in the world that provides a thali meal. This Govindas is like the Govindas/Haris in Russia where they are purely a commercial establishment, funneling profits back to ISKCON. The spiritual environment including music is completely absent and so is any kind of Indian food - only the name is Indian!
Go with this understanding and you will enjoy the food.
Pros: Vegetarian, Excellent Location, Great variety of food!
Cons: Expensive to eat in

Nice - Edit
We had dinner and the food was tasty with a lot of variety on vegan and vegetarian food. The place it's nice and you can eat on the outside. It's one of the few Veg's restaurants open until midnight. The price gets better if you "eat to go" (even if you are there).
Read moreOther day we went breakfast and it's was good for the price, the only "minus" it was that they have a very specific menu with no other options (almond's milk with coffee, whole-grain toast with marmalade and orange juice) and it was very little jam.
Pros: Vegan food, Opening and closing time
Cons: Breakfast options

many vegan options like empanadas, sushi, deep-fried vegetables, salad, and pizza - Edit
The upper floor has a beautiful, little inside, herb garden and relaxing music. The restaurant offers lunch and dinner as an open buffet for 22 ARS per 100g. Takeaway is 18 ARS per 100g. They offer many vegan options like empanadas, sushi, deep-fried vegetables, salad, pizza, seitan, and a delicious vegetable crepe with a vegan mayonnaise. Some of the food is spicy. There are microwaves available to heat up the food. Since they try not to waste any food they offer the buffet as takeaway between 3-3:30pm and 11-11:30pm for only 10.60 ARS per 100g. They are also selling nuts, seeds, tofu, seitan, and other specialities.

Excellent buffet - Edit
Very tasteful food! There's a list of vegan items and the staff knows, which items are vegan. They have vegan ice cream with chocolate, banana, moka and strawberry flavor. Appealing indoor and outdoor seating.

Great veggie options - Edit
Buffet with a large variety of vegetarian & vegan food. You pay by weight and can either take away or eat in. They have microwaves to heat up food. There were lots of empanadas, pies, salads, noodles & rice with mock meat. They also sell almond milk and tofu and had some delicious looking cakes in the front window. Would recommend!!

Good food, but needs better clarity for vegans - Edit
Govinda is one of the better vegetarian restaurants in Mendoza, and (along with its sister location in Godoy Cruz) the only veg option in town that's open for dinner.
Read moreThere's a reasonably good buffet selection, offering plenty of choice for lacto-vegetarians but only a half dozen or so items of vegans.
Making matters more complicated, they aren't very well organized in the way they set out the vegan items, making it hard to tell for sure which items are vegan. There is a section in the back right corner that is labeled "vegan," but there are also a few vegan items placed randomly around the other tables, so vegans really need to inquire to be sure.
The other issue here (as with so many other Argentinian veg restaurants) is that the buffet food gets cold quickly and the only option for warming it up is a microwave oven, which has harmful effects both on nutrition and texture. It would be better if they would use the steam tables to keep the hot food hot, and also provide a conventional toaster-oven as an option for reheating items that have gotten cold.
Service was warm and helpful, and prices are reasonable.
Pros: Good flavor, some vegan options, warm and helpful staff, reasonable prices
Cons: Not always clear which items are vegan, microwave ovens

Great veg/vegan restaurant in Mendoza - Edit
Modern spacious outdoor tables and two floors inside. Restaurant has two sides - one with a buffet sold by weight and the cafeteria, serving cofee, deserts and made to order items. I thought the prices were reasonable but only purchased take out from the buffet. About a third of the items were vegan.

indian and western style, yummy food - Edit
Great place for lunch or dinner, one of the few opened at night in Mendoza and surroundings, until 24hs (!). Food is great, very good quality, indian-style spiced (but not "spicy", in western terms). I particularly like their veg* empanadas (pastries), gnocchi and other pastas, and veg* quiches. Their homemade smoothies are also very good, as the "Lemon Ginger" one (like it!).
Read morePrice is moderate (a bit expensive when compared with the rest of venues around), worth the value IMO - this is my personal 2nd choice here at Mendoza (after vegan Cuenco).
Pros: very good quality, tasty, variety - vegan aware, opening hours
Cons: moderate/expensive
